- In this vide, we tell you everything about the new-gen Hyundai Tucson that's set to launch in India on August 4. While the car has received improvements at all levels, the biggest of them is its increased foot print thus resulting into a more spacious cabin. Hyundai has been able to achieve this by increasing the car's length and wheelbase. The engine options, however, remain the same. But the diesel engine now is torquier at 412Nm and produces more power at 194PS. The diesel engine comes equipped with an 8-speed torque converter, whereas the petrol receives a 6-speed AT. There'll be no manual transmission on offer.

I use the same car in Europe. Very happy with the car and probably the best looking car from Hyundai. Very specious, safe, technologically advance.

Give us a side by side comparision with jeep compass in terms drivability and power. Also on the build quality

Pls suggest whether to go for petrol or diesel engine. Mostly my monthly average running is 1000kms only.
go for diesel . Nowadays diesel engines are well evolved to work properly even if the monthly average running less (but must be more than 500km)

What I’d really be interested in is it’s safety ratings. Well, safety shouldn’t be of great concern given Tucson is a global matter but the fact that Hyundai/Kia brand are unpopular for making two completely different cars of the same model for different markets, I’m very doubtful of safety on Tucson launched in India. Seltos and Creta for international market scored full marks in safety but the ones in India scored a mediocre 3 star. Not acceptable. I think if I had that kind of money, I’d rather invest in a more trusted and reliable brand than Hyundai/Kia.
@@dataisking4106 : It shouldn’t be a rocket science to understand that when I said safety ratings, it meant crash test ratings. Regardless, I don’t really trust all those safety thrown in the car. Hyundai/Kia brand promised a lot of safety on their Seltos and Creta as well but, in the end, they turned out to be a lemon at GNCAP crash test. And, FYI, there are many cars on Indian roads that offers ADAS and are just as much safe. Every heard of Mercedes, Volvo, BMW, Audi brands? Yes, they are on sale in India as well and scored much higher crash test ratings at Euro NCAP than international Tucson at any NCAP. Oh! Our own Mahindra XUV700 comes with ADAS and scored full marks at GNCAP. Tata Altroz too without any ADAS. So you might need to look up cars that are on sale in India before you could comment that Tucson is more safe than most of the cars on Indian roads. There are now many cars on Indian roads that are much safe.
Second, no car score 5 star crash test with less safety features. That again should go without saying. I have no idea how did you formulate that theory. Did you ever come across any car with less safety and yet scored 5 star at any crash test? Do tell please.
Third, sure, one cannot justify COMPLETELY the safety on car based on just crash test. A crash at over 100 kmph is never going to guarantee safety of occupant regardless of the car having scored full 5 star at any NCAP. But…there’s BIG reason why such NCAP organisation are developed and a lot of investment are done on its R&D to test cars of its safety. A crash test justifies the dynamics of the cars which in turns determines safety of the car in the unfortunate accident and if it still would be capable enough to save the lives of occupant. Nobody says that a car with full 5 star crash test score is invincible. And whoever contends that, seriously need to do their homework on what NCAP is meant for.

Please review noise isolation while doing test drive. Tyre noise and air noise etc inside cabin. Hyundai's isolation is not that good as compared to skoda, VW.
Also, add night glimlse, headlights, ambient lights, etc. Be it on pictures.
PS : I'm already owning Hyundai Elantra & Skoda Octavia.

Ambient lighting available in Indian version of Tucson 2022?
No doubt Tucson now looks very good and is a feature rich car.... But I feel Hyundai have to go aggressively for its pricing and this should be priced ex showroom between 20-25 Lakhs to maintain it's 2nd position (which is already snatched by Tata) in Indian car market. For this pricing Hyundai should start Tucson's production in India... Otherwise it will be difficult for hyundai to sound as competitor for big brands like Jeep Compass...It would be easier for Hyundai to increase number of buyers for Tucson by keeping it's price between 20-25L (ex showroom), presently struggled for finding buyers for it's predecessor. If price goes beyond 30L, lot of people will go for more premium brands like Jeep, Audi, BMW....

I think this car have a potential of game changer But to be a game changer Hyundai should go aggressive regarding pricing...I think it's Petrol engine is same as that of Alcazar (price 18-21 L) ..but it have additional ADAS and eye catching looks only... So should customer pay (Rs. 8-10L) more Looks and ADAS only...Mahindra XUV700 is also providing ADAS in around 26L price range...So in my opinion 30 lakhs is overpriced & it would be difficult for Hyundai to find buyers for this car again because of pricing, if they don't go aggressively in price... Customer will shift to more premium brands like Jeep Compass etc...
On road price of top variant will surely go above 30L.

The turn indicators are mounted on the bumper. How much of a problem is this especially in India with bumper to bumper traffic ?
We do not consider it to be a problem. Most auto manufacturers offer turn indicators on the bumper. So, when you apply brakes in bumper to bumper traffic or while taking a turn, the brake lights illuminate and let the other vehicles aware of the turn indicator as well.

Although the video was nice.. almost 90% of the details we already knew as lots of videos of proper driven tucson are available online.. the 10%. difference is in fly by wire button shifting..hybrid models..which are available abroad..price range was mentioned 25L to 35 L..Was that info useful ?… pretty sure that statistic everyone already knows..hopefully next video will have something exclusive.. good going.. keep punching ( rocky balboa reference:) )

Why no fog lamps despite giving terrain system like snow mode? No cold glove box with such a flagship car.

I have noticed many cars with low headlight placing, avoiding fog lights. I think it might not even make sense when the headlights are already too low, but I'm no design expert, so could be something else. I believe this has a chance as long as the Harrier facelift with 4WD doesn't arrive.

Surprising thing is being a segment higher than Creta, it offers no air purifier, sun blinds ( that creta provides, very much useful in Indian conditions) or a HUD for driver. Cmon Hyundai, a 25L+ car they have skimped on such essential features. Safety is again a concern with Hyundai these days as hardly they go above 3 starts in Global NCAP. for Indian versions. These are not at all good signs from Hyundai India

They haven't removed the rear wiper. It is at the top hidden under the spoiler based brake light. Just that he didn't cover it in the video.
