Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

Some days everything goes wrong. Go home early & stay later when it goes right. Don't torment yourself there's already plenty of that for free.

Left you spirits? & that makes you feel better? I helped a cow farmer put some seasoned oak runners in his cattle trailer.. he bought spike nails.. think they were called 20 penny nails & 2 brand new wood handle claw hammer that weight at least 30 oz with meat grinder heads.. he used bar oil to grease way, I had driven a few nails, not without bending 1 or 2.. I was laying down on the lumber getting ready to drive another nail.. looking at that nail, I thought about how much it would hurt if I miss.. I'll be damned if I didn't miss that nail & come hard down my thumb.. I cry out with pain.. grasping my thumb.. painful enough I could have pass out.. the Farmer (Jene) what did he do? he busted out hard laughing his ass off, whole I layed there agony... he wasn't alarmed, he didn't console me or offered any help.. & he couldn't stop laughing.. how or why would a guy take so much pleasure in my pain... I figured it out.. it had happen to him as well.. & I guess he took some sadistic pleasure in knowing someone else was stupid as him.. I mean smashing your thumb like that... & that didn't stop the work either, we finished up that cattle trailer & called it a day.

Thanks to you and all the team on the farm that help you, I’m sure they help pick up the slack so you can continue to put out excellent content and trying new things instead of doing what you really need to be doing for the farm. As frustrating as it comes across its real life farming. Love ya work!!!

Wow. What a stubborn set of machines. We never had these kinds of equipment so do not know. Seems like a huge and I mean huge set of settings to get this thing to function correctly. Wow. When you want to get field work done and held back with equipment issues frustrating is for sure. Give you credit for all your efforts. Will be interesting to see if in the end it works right. Hang in there Zach. Hold tight. Appreciate your filming. Thanks. Iowa farm boy from years ago.

    Advice from my father
“farming in the mud isn’t farming...it’s mudding” and it wrecks fields

I have been watching this channel for years now and this must be the first time I seen everything go all wrong. I know the feeling. It’s really impressed that you left it all in to show what it’s really like in farming and the challenges farmers have plus it not just driving round in new machines and ruining the world 👍🏾 really enjoyed this episode 👍🏾👍🏾

This was one of the clips where I could feel the frustration coming across the fiberline to my house across the pond, and it is all too familiar for us non farmers too.
You just have to park it, take a break, do something else... The more you keep fighting it, the more mistakes you make, and the more the problems start to work against you or it seems too and the more your frustration grows.
