Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

What most folks don’t see or overlook about your channel is the relationship between you and your father. He called you on the phone while you were dealing with Onyx and asked your opinion, and you asked his. Old school knows much more than new school and new school knows much more than old school. The complete and totally respect you have for your father and the respect your father has for you speaks volumes. Just amazing.
Well said. One of the reasons I watch. Since I lost my dad, these things are much more apparent to me.
Yeah , i totally agree with you Jonathan ! I couldn't say it better myself !
@@user-ms8js8fh2u I just want to let all y’all know Jesus loves y’all.
I have always admired the relationship between Zach and his father. I had the same relationship with my father. I had a small mowing business and he always helped me with anything. I lost him a few weeks ago and now my son has the same relationship with me.
2:36
We've almost completed a whole harvest without firing Jim!
Lol
😂😂
How many acres left ?
YUP 😂😂😂
Leaving the Welker magnet on was a good thing because if it is removed a bowling ball will land in your yard.
Don't jinx it! Hahaha
Lol!!
@@MillennialFarmer I hope it isn't snowing up there still... That would be a bummer! I love your videos and especially when you get into the sarcastic parts where you say shloppy, and jokes only adults should get. Hahaha.
Keep up the great work Zach!
Dad’s smiling… thats a good thing!
You are so fortunate to be able to farm with your dad. I miss those days, he passed away way too young. Love seeing you guys work together.
Your Dad has a kind face. He reminds me of my late father.
Grandpa is a handsome man
Reminds me of my uncle who was s farmer.
What the heck is a late father?
Paul Powell One who has passed away!
Well maybe I'm weird but I love watching videos of weather like thunderstorms and then I listen to music I like like delta parole or metallica! Nothing better and more relaxing like that!
Jim is absolutely invaluable
Watching you from Southwest Idaho. Thank you for taking the time and effort taking video and editing. You ate delightful and humorous and yet you and your dad are hard working and a great asset to our blessed country. God bless y'all.
Jim seems like such a good natured man with a wealth of wisdom.
It amazes me that y’all just keep going snow and all. Props
With all this red and green iron I thought I had Larson Farm Channel on. Jim’s the best. Thanks
Ever since i knew what a tractor was,(when is was probably 5, im 12 now) i have wanted to be a farmer. I love playing Farming simulator, and want to be a farmer soooooo much. Thanks for helping to keep America going!!
If want to see farming on comedy side. Go find a old 1960s TV show called "Green Acres"
@@jaybee2344 A neighbor would ride his tractor (this was in the 1970's) with a pipe, and a cup of coffee - he lived about a mile down the road. Then, I remember when I was 6 (I'm 63 now), seeing the neighbor just south of our farm, plowing his fields with two horses. I remember the bus driver making the comment: "you won't be seeing that very much longer." He was right - except for the Amish!
yo actually same but i’m 13
To your luck, if you play fs19, the Millennial Farmer amp is coming out next week by Friday or Saturday.
Yea i play Fs19 but my wifi is so slow (65kbps in good weather) i jave to play on ver.1.0.0.0 2 years after release. oof. I am going to get the Premium edition when it comes out tho. Cant get mods cuz of my wifi either
Your dad is the coolest dude. I love watching you two working together!
Comparing this to the current 2021 havest, walking around in a t-shirt, just goes to show you how different years can be.
Always nice to see 4 with 5 in a tractor.
I bet working with Jim and your dad is a lot of fun. They seem like jolly fellas.
Got to love the Christmasy lookin tractor
The only thing missing is the christmas lights
People don't appreciate what it takes to do this , thank God for people like these guys!
Oh the weather outside is frightful.
But the Tracks are so delightful.
And since we've got no Bins to go,
Let It Snow! Let It Blow! Let It Snow!
Jim reminds me of Wilford Brimley, get him to say “ Diabeetus” 😂 Y’all need a snowblower onthe front of that rig to clear a path.
I have no farming background but love watching these videos. New respect for all farmers, I had no idea the work it entails. Thank you to all farmers and send some of the cool weather south its been 95° here!
I think that’s at least half of us! I live near Zach & a couple 10,000+ farmers but know nothing about farming!😅
This is where UA-cam is leaving the "regular media" in the dust. You can actually learn things about real people doing real work - and it turns out it's kinda cool too. Whether they know it or not, MF, Welker, and so many others are filling a huge need. People in NY, LA, Chicago, etc. who have never seen green grass outside a park can see what living in "fly over" is all about - and how desperately bad it would be if "fly over" didn't do what it does.
@@jayjaygee3306I think they should go without in the cities for awhile so they can find that out.
Jim is a brave man to let Zack hammer on that wheel humb while Jim hold it.
Thank you farmers of America in feeding us and the world! The conditions are harsh
Zack - A long time since dad has drove a "red tractor"
Everyone else - doesn't he have one at his house and you could figure out how to start it lol
that's why it's been a long time! lol they couldn't get it to crank
Jim must have a lot of faith in you holding that while you hit the living crap out of it 👍
that went through my head too lol
probably a bunch of millennial you voted that up :P
@@bobrobert6277 If us millennials are any less skilled than our predecessors, it is because you boomers were too self absorbed to teach us.
Not even a millennial
Nothing like working in snow and cold, which is why I moved south as soon as the opportunity presented itself. My parents still live in Northern Wisconsin and we go up and there and visit. Dad always has a nice list of things for me to do so I get to experience the snow and cold again if we go up during the Winter months of September through May :). I have plenty of memories of working on cars and equipment when it was -20F and cutting wood at -40F, more than enough to last me the rest of my life so I don't need to add any more.
Its nice you are able to let your dad operate all this great equipment that may othetwise would have been possible
0:47 “I don’t wanna get snow all over your guys TVs and cellphones” haha
Zach has good humor.
Well it's good cause my PC has vents at the top, if I'd get snow all over it it would get destroyed for sure. Was a bit worried I'd have to turn off the video.
Hope everyone has a great day
You to man
You betcha.Have yourself a wonderful day Bud.
Thanks 👍 bro you have a good day to

Love your Dad's shirt. Milwaukee, WI
jim makes my day, every time! always so cheery.
The weather outside is frightful, Jim the super star of the show is so delightful.
totally agree - jim's a star, in more ways than one
Clever
Adjusting the equipment in the snow, Giddy up go! Get It up Go! Get It Up go.
Let it snow let it snow let it snow
I like them all but zach's dad makes me miss a boss i used to have and he is a great friend if mine he acts the same !!!
17:41.50 No Sheet ! It's always HunnyDew time then. Can't entertain yourself in the snow..Either! Snow's too deep! "Honey? What can I do to help You?" time. You are welcome Becky. The rain and small pop-ups, was the best we did here. Keep that stuff up there. I have too many Summer projects still. Thank you all for what you do, and how you care. Refreshing even.
I really enjoy when Nate is in the Videos
Good to see Jim get more camera time. As always good to see Dad too. Zack/Dad/Jim = The A Team.
Am I the onlhy one feeling a hint of sarcasm in the title?
No, just me .Ok.
All that land would be my greyhound's dream to run around on (in the summer at least)😂😂
I just love your Dad, he's so chill. Never gets wound up about anything 👍
That red tractor is awesome!
You get a red tractor and the weather goes to heck... coincidence?
I think not!
Definite correlation there!
I'm a 135 miles or so East of Zach. I can tell you this weather is pretty standard.
Only about 2 Halloweens out of 5 don't have some sort of snowfall stay on the ground around here.
@@douglascampbell9809 😂 it's called a joke
Dad your looking good, the red suits you👍😎
Jim's trust level in your ability to hit the right thing with the dead blow hammer is nothing less than scary.
jim just seems like such a great worker with so much knowledge
Getting through COVID with my dose of millennial farmer ! I appreciate all you do to entertain us in these hard times !
I’m an Australian and I’ve never seen snow after 74 years
I love the snow its a beautiful thing when its on your computer screen and you live in Key West, Florida
i have been sick lately and i might have covid and I'm only 10 you make me feel better keep up the great work
Hope you get better!
I’m happy that your father is getting better from his knee surgery
Snow ❄️ it’s already here
We are so proud of you and your seat belt
I broke both my elbows (at different times) when I was a little boy. I feel for miss Isla.
In Australia were harvesting wheat and canola
Glad to see y'all having problems. You are going to have a lot more
The dogs name makes so much sense now! 🇦🇺
What I've learned from watching...
Most of your day is consumed with repairing farm equipment, or figuring out how to operate the new machinery.
Millennial Mechanic might be a better description.
Its just like being a Semi Truck owner operator. You spend more time fixing things than actually getting to drive it
Yeah. Some reason things like to break too much these days. Only thing that doesn't is something made in the 80's.
@@davidty2006 To get you to buy more
I think one of these days we should do a Jim Appreciation day, and just let him know how great he is at everything he does. I'll leave that up to Zach and Becky though.
Would I love to drive that big red tractor such fun.nice plowing snow
Thank you for buckling up.
Zach need to put the Christmas star on the quad tractor
7:45 Jim standing there wondering why you can't tell this story later, so that he can shut the door to the shop....
That’s amazing job ! You’ve said Australia! True I’m from Australia 🇦🇺 good luck with farming there in USA 🇺🇸 👌😉👍
Jim is a smart man he has done this before
You Should definetely return the favour and make Nick run a John Deere on their farm
The kids reaction to you doing donuts was the coolest thing ever
Your Dad seems like such a nice man. What a cool farm and family.
Its so funny, when men get in the snow with at truck… and the kids are in the truck
I love your dad sweatshirt. My daughter,, son-in-law, and grandson would too. They used to hit Sturgis every year, and do the Black Hills Tour on their Harleys.
I apologize for my english. I'm from Germany and it's 15 degrees and sunshine here and it's snowing for you
Honestly jim is gold. What a man
Your kids are precious! Dogs are so funny, and your Dad is quite a guy. Makes me miss mine. Cherish every day with him! God bless you all and keep you safe.
I love doing snonuts!
Hmm, is the Millennial Farmer switching to all red machines? Conspiracy? A red truck, a red case and even a red snowmobile, hmm, you decide. Lol great video, being from the south, we dont what a four wheeler is like on tracks. 👀😉
Your dad is just a really nice man!
It's hard to imagine farmers in the 50s and 60s no cabs, no heating, no suspension, out in that weather. Makes you appreciate equipment now.
I sure like that Steiger and I sure love hearing Jim think out loud.
It's not a Steiger. Well it is but it ain't. It's a quad track, The Steiger has wheels and the Quad track has well tracks. There is a difference.
Ok mr 2006 the quadtracks used to be made by steiger we have one our farm it's an older quadtrack and it has a black hood and stieger window style
The current way CaseIH has their product line setup is that the Steiger Series is their articulating tractor. Tracked Or Wheeled it's still part of the Steiger Series.
And yes Mason is right when Steiger was their own entity they called quadtrac, pretty basic history.
I'm hungover and my head hurts and I cant tell if the white stuff im seeing on the screen means my vision is going or not.
I Love Jim ! U are lucky to have him for help!
It’s the new CASH crop they are harvesting.
Good one 😂
Zach i mean this treasure every moment with your dad and make as much memory as you can and i love it when you two work together cause its amazing to see !!!!
My dad would have loved your videos
I really expected a "WELKERRRR" when you brushed off the magnet.
You know things were going great until that “RED THING” showed up with that “WELKER” guy, 😲😬😂😂😂
The snow certainly accentuates the colours of the machinery. 👍🇬🇧🇺🇸
Love snow. Love from Denmark.
I live In Minnesota to and I can’t believe we are getting snow
Meanwhile us British got nothing. I mean Nothing. WHAT? *visible confusion*
Never forget the Halloween blizzard in the early 90’s.
@@legitgap6914 we beat that already this year in my home town of Montevideo, Minnesota.
Merry Christmas Jim!
Merry Christmas you God d*m gotta love Jim's comebacks
Love this channel! Farmer out of Illinois here
A real you tuber out in falling snow 😂😂😂😂 nice one Zach 👍
the La Nina thing is coming around now so probably means a wet spring
That makes it wet on the east coast of Australia tho and dry in South America
It's so great to see the interaction between you and your Dad and Jim, you learned a lot from Dad and now you are teaching him the modern stuff. And he wasn't wearing his leg-brace today! Does that mean his knee is improving?
Awesome!! That would be fun out in the field.. Oh yeah the sled!!
Dad and son together there is nothing better Zach you can never and I mean never learn enough from you Dad, I'm 72 so I know a little about that...love your videos keep em rolling...
I guess that was the last time Zach gets to drive the quad trac.
Holy cow that much snow already where in northern Illinois and we haven’t even got snow yet
Yeah we have a lot here in Minnesota
It’s all melted for central ish MN already. :/
Please get the quad track for your farm. It’s a really cool tractor
Jim is a legend
Keep the A/C running a little so that the windows don't get so moist. The A/C compressor dehydrates the air so you wouldn't have to wipe all the windows every 5 minutes
defrost runs the a/c compressor
Yes that works but when in the snow it makes it harder to keep moisture off the windows.
The day comes when son teaches Dad...
I love watching your videos
red and green together. can 2020 get any weirder
Dogs and cats living together?
