The whole point of the show should be to how neither side is good or evil but the writers keep on taking liberties to have their ideas n their message heard. Patriarchy is evil, men bad women good. 😂

Sadly the showrunners went so far as to describe Alicent Hightower as a "Trump supporter" because she supports the current system of Westeros so the patriarchy more or less. Tells you a lot about their bias.
İ wish they had treated Aegon as an actual character and a young man who is lost and also suffers from this corrupt system. İnstead they turned him into a monster for the sake of making Rhaenyra look better. Like the part with the fighting pits was just too much in my opinion.... Episode 9 dissapointed me honestly... Hopefully season 2 will be better than this.

@@smokingmirror8482 in their mind any person who is religious or republican is immediately a trump supporter. The writers contradict themselves constantly look at ep 4 behind the scenes with RT and DT brothel scene. Writer in ep 4 say’s the reason why DT pulled back because he wasn’t in control with RT. Then in episode 7 they say Daemon pulled back because she was still a child…..

hey great video bro 👍 u just said everything i wanted to say 👏👏👏🔥 the way they decided to portrail Aegon really pissed me off, it's ok they changed the character from the book to the tv series , but like you said in the video they didn't need to have gone so far completely changing his personality and excluding all his qualities, I hope that in season 2 they give him at least a good redemption arc

Thank you for your kind comment! Knowing how much the writers favor Rhaenyra i am a bit worried about season 2 and Aegon. But all i can hope George will be there in the writing room to balance the story. Thanks for watching bro. Cheers!

Yeah , I agree with you , they did him dirty in the show 🤦🏽‍♂️ that's just sad because Aegon is supposed to be the main character along side Rhaenyra they are both the heads of the Greens and Blacks and the show has already ruined the Character in the season 1 🤦🏽‍♂️ as a fan of the book i was very disappointed with the changes and how they ruined Aegon , i just hope that in season 2 these writers do a better job with him and stay true to the book 👍

Aegon deserved better... But man i'm even more sad because when i think about it the writers completely forgot about Daeron.... yk Alincent's 3D SON AND AEGON'S YOUNGEST BROTHER WHO İS AWAY İN OLDTOWN. Poor Daeron was literary forgotten by everyone.

@@smokingmirror8482 Yeah man, they could have at least mentioned Daeron in the first season, but they just acted like he didn't even exist 🤦🏽‍♂️, the fact that they forgot a character as important as Daeron the daring just shows how incompetent these writers are

Hey everyone... here is a video i wanted to make for a while now... Yeah i still dislike episode 9 of HOTD (something i have explored in other videos as well). Though i did enjoy the show overall that one episode always bugged me because of the way it treated man of its characters. İ mostly focused on Alicent Hightower, who was my favorite character at the time. But the character assassination of Aegon was even worse so i thought i should make a video about it.
Sorry if this video is shorter than my other HOTD videos. To be honest i think ineed to change the overall style of my videos and that is what i tried to do a little bit in this one by adding some extra jokes or funny moments. İ hope you can enjoy it for what it is... Consider liking, sharing and subcribing if you enjoy the video. And don't forget to leave comment. I'd love to hear your thoughts. Cheers!

Team Green, while not spitefully delusional like the Targ Cult, have their faults mainly about neutrality and Aegon. Green fans take the team sport neutrality thing to an extreme. It's almost like they want a chyron constantly reminding the audience with bullet points why each side is justified, for the sake of strict neutrality. *The point isn't neutrality, it is to set Rhaenyra up as the protagonist who betrays the audience's trust & disillusions them.* It's the , but done better. No protagonist who is gonna end the show as a lilly white heroine will blatantly lie on the memory of their dead mothers or say "their wants are of no consequence" about the peasantry. The show actually did a great job of putting various subtle red flags about Rhaenyra (like her total ignorance about spending money in ep4 & 6 is big foreshadow) without ever making her flaws too prominent or too obvious. Because then it would've defeated the whole purpose of her arc.
Finally Team Green's irrational fear about Aegon. I think it's a good thing that Aegon did not wake out of his crib as the illustration in "The Shepherd Burns" and we'll actually get to see his experiences during Dance slowly shaping his personality, as the two are inseparable, and by the time we get to Dragonstone, he'll be unrecognizable from the window jerker. A character arc?! Something that is totally non-existent in F&B.
It's equivalent to complaining "they ruined Theon!!! He's more important than Robb!!" at the end of s1. Green fans get hung up on the deviancy, but don't realize the show already did one better on F&B by giving Aegon the backstory of lonliness & parental neglect that explains the personality F&B Aegon actually goes on to have as king. Them showing the vacuum of his childhood, the pressure he feels as the firstborn son & the validation he seeks from his uncaring father was perfect. It's the three defining traits he goes on to have as King : depression ("let me sail away"), resentment ("do you love me") & resilience ("we know father"). Show Aegon is actually brilliant once you engage with the character a little deeper. Maybe it's a shock fir F&B stans waking up to depth and character arc, two things non-existent in that cash grab history book full of monocle wearing cartoon villains.
