Portal was one of the best integrated franchises they put in that game, both of the levels they added just felt like miniature 3rd person portal games. My brother's been building a Lego GladOS based on the model from the game for our collection.
if anything she should show you that voice filters are a form of art and shouldnt be treated as "cheating" singing or whatever people think. i think there are many great singers who use electronic filters to create interesting effects, but yeah i think glados works very well
I kinda can. I only played the games for the first time this year. I had heard Still Alive before, but Want You Gone caught me totally off guard. The perfect end to an incredible gaming experience
I like the other ones sure, but the turret opera... I just love it, absolutely perfect ending to the Portal franchise. And although many want a Portal 3 (including me), I would be satisfied with what we got, a perfection of a game, franchise, and memories.
Portal and Portal 2 are some of the most impressive gaming experiences I've ever had. And my feelings towards GLaDOS have been a real emotional rollercoaster.

The way these songs are written and performed are a lot like modern pop songs. But instead of a loved one, it's about a test subject. It makes it (to me) a whole lot more palatable. I just wish there were more of them, like an album.
Portal/Portal 2 are god damn amazing and so nostalgic to me, I remember fondly the first little bit of Portal 2 from when I was younger, never completed the game back then though (also played a small bit of co-op with my brother and dad). Beating them both a bit apart from each other felt freeing in a sense but also sad. I had listened to 'Still Alive' and 'Want you Gone' beforehand (since I had a small Portal phase last year, didn't grow this big though) so I had a idea on what the ending songs would be like, but they're so beautiful after the true, awesome experience of the games. These games take you on a journey, and even if they are 15 and 12 years old, they are still my favourite games at the current moment and I reckon some of the most amazing games ever made :) I hope little me is looking up at me and smiling after remembering and beating Portal/Portal 2, I will definitely be re-playing and re-beating these games in the future for nostalgia and fun purposes!
