the julissa thaler case was really sad. the dad of the kid pleaded an appeal given her previous mental health issues... and got ignored. they didn't even put the case on hold. not his fault, julissa needed help, the kid was innocent, and the court was incompetent.

The state gets money when they side in favor of the woman in custody battles for child support. When men win the case and the woman has to pay, the state doesn't get a percentage. So they are literally incentived to side with the woman. Look it up.

It's straight up sexism. I got stuck with my mom during custody war between her and my father and I ended up homeless with no one at 15. All because this stupid system is sexist. My mom was clearly unable to take care of me, but she was a woman. I only just recently 3 years ago finally found and reconnected with my father, all she does is ask me for dope money. I hate it when people talk about the "connection" or "bond" between a mother and child because not all moms are the same. They really aren't.

I live in the town where Eli Hart lived. It used to be so frustrating hearing other channels talk about this case without the mention of Eli’s custody having just been changed right before he died. I personally know people that knew Eli and our community was so negatively impacted by his death. When the news of Eli broke out, the community came together to honor his life and preserve his memory, we put locks and posters and flowers on the bridge that his mother was pulled over on (you can still see these even though many were taken down). Thank you so much for taking a deep dive into the case and not just scratching the surface, I think you are the first channel that I have watched to bring up the point that Eli’s father was blatantly ignored by the court system when his mother tried to gain custody. We still honor Eli’s memory to this day and there will forever be a hole in our community because of his death.

It made me cry,cuz I can hear the emotion from these Officers..they know,it doesn't always turn out like this!!
However,I didn't realize these two events,were the same story.

I've watched many body cam footage videos, but I think the one with Chad Doerman hits the hardest, hearing a mother wail in pure heart break and despair for her dead children hits you in a way not many things can... Stuff like this is why I know I could never make it as a cop.
I remember the story with Eli that’s my son’s name as well. His mother was a heavy drug addict with mental problems Eli was in an amazing adoptive home the caretaker loved him so much unfortunately the courts and cps failed them both by allowing this precious boy to go back to that monster with numerous complaints and red flags. This should never ever happen breaks my heart I think of my 3 boys and how I must protect them at all costs! 😢
