Love everything! Your family is very fortunate because you are a gem.💚 You are young but you remind me of my beloved grandma when I used to be in the kitchen with her watching her cook, bake, prep, make homemade everything! She canned and/or froze food and had 2 freezers and also a cellar she kept full. That was more than 40 years ago and she's been gone since '92. 💔 Iam 53 years old and I still think of her and miss her all the time. Watching you takes me back to those days, and I thank you. 😊

Renea, did you know you cqn make a rue up.. of butter and or oil and flour, and you cook all the flour taste out, and turn it off, and when it cools, you can keep it in the fridge or freezer, and anytime you may want or need to make a homemade gravy, or any cream soup... All you do is add your precooked rue... I have learned sooo many things from watching you and listening to you. I sure wish I could give you something... you are amazing!!! ❤❤❤

I collect Gooseberry Patch cookbooks. Many years ago I found “rootbeer ham” in 1 of them, which I’ve been doing every year since!! My husband & son LOVE it plus it pulls the salt out! So simple, you just cover the ham in rootbeer in a crockpot or roaster. For large hams I actually marinate it in the fridge overnight then cook it on low all day. The longer it’s in the rootbeer the better it is. I just picked up a boneless ham on sale & am doing an experiment. I usually pick up breakfast ham slices on sale for them then simmer them in a pan with alot of dark brown sugar for a quick supper. I’m wondering if I can slice the ham, marinate it them in the rootbeer then vacuum seal & freeze them individually.

Two years ago I made meatloaf for the freezer. I used the Fanny Farmer recipe I've used for 30 years. When I baked it, all I could taste was too much salt, some pepper, and kinda off-tasting onion. I was so disappointed! To keep it from being a waste I used the rest of them in spaghetti sauce. It was just fine for that. After that fiasco I made 2 meatloaf's at a time, cooked them both, we ate one, sliced and froze the other one. Frozen after cooking worked just fine with my recipe.

Hi Rene, this is Sue, GOD love you for dinner inspirations, l am going to make up some individual pork chop dinners for hubby, he is the only one who eats pork in the family, l don't like the taste and tummy doesn't like it either, saying that, ya there isn't anything like having meat loaves in the freezer, Although OCD kicks in on me, when it comes to getting even portions out, me personally would have weighed the bowl first and then after all is mixed and divide it into 1-1.5 lbs loafs, and then package them up. l do mine a couple different ways, l will either make them and cook and then freeze them or put then in bags and flatten out and then the day of cooking just take them out for a couple hours till thawed and put them into a pan, l poke holes in my loafs for whorchester sauce. and sometimes bbq sauce.

I make about 9-10 pounds of meatloaf at a time and I use our grass fed beef and veal, plus sautéed mire poux, shrooms, and all the usual characters. I line a bread pan with cling film, half fill it and pack it tight, and then turn them over onto a parchment lined cookie-sheet. I then freeze them for 4-5 hrs until they’re mostly firm and then vacuum seal each one. Just had one tonight; quick and easy meal.

I just came across your channel and I think I might start watching you. I got one question I noticed when u got the pork chops you didn't wash the bone fragments that were left on them from when the butcher cuts them. Why is that? They were some gorgeous pork chops.

What about if you're allergic to mushrooms what could you use to substitute the mushrooms

You can leave the mushrooms out entirely and it would be a cream of chicken substitute which is good in this recipe, you can use pretty much any cream soup.
