You're an amazing woman, so organized and neat those, who homeschool their children should watch all your videos to learn home economics.. even ones who go to a public school should have their children watch since they don't teach home economics anymore...you definitely have a knack for teaching with your awesome recipes and videos
Dear Renae, I am following your channel and love it. I live in Costa Rica so our weather is only rainy or dry seasons. But we enjoy watching how you manage your house and kitchen and your recipes. Take. Blessings.
I find your videos very calming and reassuring. You soothe my soul and give me the feeling that everything will be okay in the world for a few minutes. Your family is very fortunate to have you. Thanks for all the ideas for freezer foods. Love ya!

Hi Renea, I just found your videos yesterday. You are so inspiring and amazing! Your children are so blessed to have you cook for them. My daughter and her family are going to start coming over with my 2 grandsons for meals more regularly and you are giving me some really good ideas. I am hoping to make some freezer meals to give to my grown children and their families. I like how you cook and share that love with others. Thank you!!
I am going to be 59 in March and I enjoy your videos I’d like to watch your cooking videos and get ideas on what to make I am here in a small apartment all by myself and I don’t make big big meals because it’s just me but I try to make enough where I can have leftovers and freeze some if I need to when my boys come over to visit they are all grown now and out of the house but I love it when they come to visit me and I put give them food that I may there always hungry
Another enjoyable, calming visit with you. I just love watching you. The time goes so fast and before I know it, it's over. Have a wonderful new week ahead, my friend.
You are such a joy to watch. I learn something new in every video (thank you for that). I especially enjoy that you keep things real life! Look forward to seeing what your up to!
Your freezer looks way more organized than mine. The hubs and I are going to rearrange the big stand up and the fridge/freezer that is in the garage and I do have a 7 cubic chest freezer in my freeze dryer room. I did get the freezer in the kitchen cleaned out. I know we are all very thankful that we have the freezers and to have them full but I want to try to get anything I can freeze dried also to have more room in the freezer and wont have to worry soo much if there is power outages!
I know your daughter will appreciate those lunches! It's so hard to get it together to get lunch made in the morning, and it just makes the day hard if you don't! AND I don't have kids to get going, either. I need to do this for me! Blessing to you and yours this Easter weekend!
Hello Renea . Rearranging the freezer . Takes a long time . But it has to be done some time . To rotate the food . So It don't get freezer burn . Thanks for sharing your video today . You And Mr. Wade . Stay warm and take care of your selfs .💕😊💕
I love watching and learning from you, your so down to earth. What I do for my freezers is everything I put in I write it in my notes on my phone and delete it when I take it out easy to see what I have and what I need. And just a little tip with your silicone baggies use a permanent marker and when you empty it, the Marker comes right off with a little alcohol and paper towel.
That yeast is in mylar and vacuumed sealed so you do not have to freeze it but keep in a cool pantry would be advisable. Once opened it must be kept in the fridge and if you don't it will not last long.
We've always called it shepherds pie. I have never heard it called cottage pie before. So I was all excited thinking you were going to make a pie out of cottage cheese! Lol! Now, to excuse myself, my grandmother would make sweet crepes with a cheese filling made with cottage cheese. They were to die for!!! Anyway, no matter what you call it, it sure does look like a good meal!!
Some of my favorite things to freeze dry are onions and garlic. In fact, I have 4 trays of onions that will be going into the freeze dryer after my avocado is done. Onions and garlic are wonderful to powder up. It doesn’t clump up like it does when they are dehydrated. It powders down to nothing, but it is very potent. I will be doing a lot of vidalia onions when they come back in season! They are so good, you can eat them by the handfuls when they are freeze dried!
Speaking of the honey mustard pork, I made it and had it over the weekend, it was very good thank you again. I have one more in the freezer too. I really have to to clean and organize my freezer too, it's a mess too.
Your videos are fun; genuine fun. I'm waiting for the Cottage pie. I live by my 500 watt Microwave! ha Mom used to say stand back from it. Yes, it's the same microwave. My cabin is a relic of the 1980's. Ok, i understand Shepard/cottage. SISU!!!
I'm wondering you have 3 freezers you could have 1 for beef, 1 for chicken, and 1 for other kind of stuff. That might make it easier to find stuff. You have a nice supply of food for anything one might want. Nancy from nebraska
The cottage pies look tasty. I need to organize my freezers this weekend to make room for a half beef coming later this month. I like the shopping bag idea. I think I will give that a try. Also rendering lard from the hog we had butchered this weekend. No rest for the weary LOL
I buy the exact same pack of yeast from the Amish store, keep it in the freezer. After I open it, I put it in a Mason jar with reusable lid & put it back in the freezer. Easy to grab & measure out of. It lasts for well over a year(as long as it’s good yeast!)
Thank you for putting the link to the bags but I figured I would need more than just that small amount and the bag holder will come in very handy when I get tons of rhubarb this year
I made the no knead bread the other day it came great I made another one tonight. It’s rising now. Will bake it tomorrow. My oven is broke so I am baking in a toaster oven. Small enamel cast iron pot. Love the bread. Your awesome.
I have a bag of ham bits in the freezer and a 5 # bag of red potatoes so going to make scalloped potatoes.. it will make a lot because it is just me but portioned out will be great. I have a lot of the freezer bags and I love them.. they are wonderful.. Great video thanks ⚘️
your incredible we have 3 freezers to the stand up big one we use wash bins to organize then it still gets messed up the small stand up is for cheese butter small flat stuff and the one under my fridge well is a mess lol. Your making me know I have got to redo mine lol. Have an amazing day
Hey sweet lady , question ? Do you ever make a hot chicken salad …..I remember my granny making one using potato chips on top ….loved it so much but can’t find recipe or anyone who has made one . She would bake it up and we would have it for supper with corn on cob and a fruit cobbler ….yummy !
You should computerize your freezers with excel or put a huge grease marker board above the freezer. oh my goodness. The bottom is from 1988, right? Just tossing you Renae, my friend.
I copied what you did with the fried chicken. But it was pork chops. I cooked extra and put 2 portions in freezer to place in oven to reheat for later.
There’s only 3 of us, I buy everything in bulk, divide it up & vacuum seal everything!! It lasts a very long time in my freezer. If I need to use it up, I can it. Love having burger ready to go in a jar too.
I have a question for you, Renee. You had some of those silicone gallon freezer bags with meat in them. When you’re done with the bag, can you wash it out and reuse it or do you have to throw it away because it had meat in it. The regular gallon freezer bags when I put meat in them I do not reuse them. If I do not have a meat product in it, then I reuse bags that’s why I was asking if those silicone bags could be reused after you’ve used them with meat. I have some of the silicone bags that are reusable and I love them but don’t use meat in them not yet. I don’t want to have to throw them away because they’re so expensive.
No the bags are totally reusable and you just wash them with your dishes. can use meat in them. It is the same as storing meat in a container, you wash and reuse.
Oh my gosh your gona laugh, Ok, I empty it all out then I remove the ice from all around the sides and throw the ice out the door into the yard. Lol Then I wipe it out with hot soapy water dry it out and put every thing back in order.
I want to KNOW...what was in the Large Stainless Steel Bowl you added last (Onion, veggies, chicken Soup Simmer...added What? Then you put in oven? Baked? Sorry LOST

Love you Renee I’m a new subscriber but I love watching your videos thank you so much for having me
Welcome to my channel and thank you.
You need to put things in boxes and bags in the box freezer. Helps to keep it organized
She is amazing woman and organized.
Speaking of the honey mustard pork, I made it and had it over the weekend, it was very good thank you again. I have one more in the freezer too. I really have to to clean and organize my freezer too, it's a mess too.
I chuckle, but tortillas are as described: a flatbread or wrap, etc. "Tore-tee-ya" is how its said, the double LL is pronounced Y.
I have gloves sitting on top my freezer. I too am notorious for diving into the freezer and leaving it jumbled. It’s a GERMAN thing. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Great video! Renea could you do a video on exactly how you wash you plastic bags?
Yes I can.
SISU!!!
You have been such an inspiration. I use freezer bags for EVERYTHING.
I myself am also German, and love German potato salad. How do you make yours?

Hi Renea! Yum, I love cottage pie, but when I make it for my daughter I only use the veggies she likes. Have a blessed day!

Hi from Melbourne Australia . Love your channel 😊
Hello there!
@@LittleVillageHomestead G’day xx
Hey sweet lady , question ? Do you ever make a hot chicken salad …..I remember my granny making one using potato chips on top ….loved it so much but can’t find recipe or anyone who has made one . She would bake it up and we would have it for supper with corn on cob and a fruit cobbler ….yummy !
Yes I have.
@@LittleVillageHomestead do you have recipe ? I like way you season your dishes.
I bet they were delicious.
I have 6 freezers 4 refrigerators I have to keep organized
I got to see you make potatoes O’Brain I don’t even know what that is.
I am making a cranberry compote and I added pineapple 🍍❤😂🎉
There’s only 3 of us, I buy everything in bulk, divide it up & vacuum seal everything!! It lasts a very long time in my freezer. If I need to use it up, I can it. Love having burger ready to go in a jar too.
Why must you shame me with your tidy house and organized freezer?! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Where did you get the silver bowls you use. Please
Hello. Can you post a link for your apron? I like the wider straps.

Potatoes, O’Brien
Curious how you heat up breakfast sandwiches without microwave lol?

I have a question for you, Renee. You had some of those silicone gallon freezer bags with meat in them. @@LittleVillageHomestead thanks ,
I own and love the bags
Oh that cool he won’t be stranded if his truck battery goes.
Where did you buy your island?
From a friend but you can get them on Amazon.
Did you put a heat source in there?
In my sunporch? No heat in there at all.
What about making chicken keive, have you ever made it ?
Renee how do you clean your deep freezer.
Oh my gosh your gona laugh, Ok, I empty it all out then I remove the ice from all around the sides and throw the ice out the door into the yard. Lol Then I wipe it out with hot soapy water dry it out and put every thing back in order.
Renea,
Does your Amish lady ship items?
I will have to ask her.
How do you wash zip locks?
I just wash them with my dishes.
@Little Village Homestead how do you dry them?
Foods get freezer burn so use you foods rotating.
I didn’t know that I call Mine shepherds pie but they with beef.
Could the lighting be adjusted during your stove top session time? It's so bright we can't see inside your pans. Thank you for all your instruction!
I have fixed it for future videos.
@@LittleVillageHomestead You are great! Thank you! I hope I didn't seem critical but it helps to see the product as you are cooking it.
Did I miss the cooking instructions when thawed? Time and Temperature?
Thaw in the fridge over night and bake at 350° until heated through. About 30 minutes.
@@LittleVillageHomestead , thank you. I’m making this today. One for supper and one for the freezer
Is your son all recovered from covid now?
Oh yes he is and he must be ravenous because he gave me his freezer meal list.
@@LittleVillageHomestead love it!
But you dont try to heat it do you so thats why its cold. If you had a heater out there it would warm wouldn’t it.
Hi honey ❤
I want to KNOW...what was in the Large Stainless Steel Bowl you added last (Onion, veggies, chicken Soup Simmer...added What? Then you put in oven? Baked? Sorry LOST
I am not sure. In this video I had mashed potatoes in the steel bowl for the cottage pies.
