The most metaphorical cup holder in history.
think of all the chicks you get with such a majestic cup holder... it really gets me senses tingeling if you know what i'm sayin'
You guys say that Chuck is right that Jimmy will always be Slippin Jimmy, but how much of that is a self-fulfilling prophecy? If Chuck had actually took him in and hired him as a lawyer at HHM, encouraged him in his pursuit of the law and morality, Slippin Jimmy would be a half-remembered past.
Yeah, every criminal is only a criminal because his brother wasn't supportive. Seriously though, we see in this episode that Jimmy will always stray. He has a good job, his boss is supportive. His girlfriend is supportive. But he can't change because he doesn't understand that he has to change.
@@quintoblanco8746
I suggest that you are, over simplifying. Imagine Jimmy being taken under the wing of HHM, starting at the bottom and being taught and shown about temptations and pitfalls.
He seemed to function within the law when he worked in the mailroom.
Every answer is not a hammer. Every problem is not a nail.
Everyone does not learn to swim by just being tossed into the water.
@@coolbreez1214 Jimmy was an adult when he started working for HHM and he already had a long career as a criminal. As seen in one of the flashbacks in season 1 and confirmed in another episode (Marco).
I will point out the obvious, it is not the job of an employer to learn one of their employees about temptations and pitfalls. How would that have worked? A weekly session with Howard who explains to Jimmy that he should not steal and lie?
His brother got him out of trouble and gave him a job. He managed to get a law degree. He got his chance at redemption. He didn’t take it.
And in this episode we see that Jimmy doesn’t understand Kim when she calls him out for creating false evidence. She tries to explain to him that he has crossed a line, and he doesn’t respond.
The worst thing is that he puts Kim’s job at risk. Howard vouched for Jimmy to get him a job after he talked to Kim. If Jimmy gets caught, there will be collateral damage, for the company that employs him, for HHM, and for Kim.
@@quintoblanco8746
His brother simply should have been honest from the beginning... "Congratulations little brother, but from now on you are on your own. We (the Firm) can't risk your reputation. Good luck."
Jimmy didn't have any legal problems when he was in the mailroom. When a loved one insists on treating you dishonestly it does tend to create problems. But if your only point is "we are all ultimately responsible for our selves"... Then I can't disagree. You are right about that.
All Jimmy wanted was his brother's approval and Chuck was too jealous to give it to him.
The video exists on UA-cam, It's called HSC: Beaches n' Peaches

Yes, they should actually look at it haha.
I'd love to see their reaction to it:
ua-cam.com/video/Br4jFRXFvXM/v-deo.html
oh wow lol I never knew about this.
I love all the "subtle" imagery they use in this show. Yeah the coffee cup doesn't fit the new car, just like the things he actually cares about don't fit with his new life. It's so simple but also so effective, and I never notice other shows doing stuff like that.
It's small things like this make this show sooo good
I also love how obvious it is, honestly I’m not that smart so some other symbolic things fly straight over my head, but as soon as I saw that I knew what it meant and that he probably wouldn’t stick around long at Davis and main.
I love that you guys were talking about eating cobbler before the episode. I just kept thinking "hmmm...they're prolly not gonna want to eat cobbler after watching this episode." 😂😂😂
Huh huh ewww! 😅
“Better Fuck Chuck” 😂
"...I've an idea for a skit"
I like the bounce, the high when he's fooling the detectives to the low of Kim pointing out how much of a problem it could be. And he did exact a kind of justice from Dan W, he had to do the humiliating video for his stupidity.
Episode starts " Chuck Breathes" Mickey: FUCK THIS CLOWN! LOL
That's my reaction for him as well
You guys gotta react to the squat cobbler video
LMAO
I actually met Chuck irl last Friday at work! I was struck! Micheal McKean
Lucky
6:44 on point 🤣 🤣
I didn't know it could be humanly possibly for anyone on this show to frustrate me more than Betsy Kellerman, but Pryce managed to pull it off.
How in Christ do he not know who Tuco is
Since you were talking about things Chuck (Michael McKean) has starred in, you might remember "This is Spinal Tap". "Turn it up to 11"...lol
Nahid said he's seen Michael McKean (Chuck) in other movies and that he "always plays a jerk or something". He clearly has never seen "This Is Spinal Tap". I honestly think a film like Spinal Tap is a little too sophisticated for this group. They already miss a bunch of subtle nuances in Better Call Saul like the significance of the light switch at the end of the previous episode and the symbolism of the coffee cup not fitting into Jimmy's cupholder. I imagine a lot of Spinal Tap's humor would be over their heads. This is why Hannah is so sorely missed in these reaction vids. She was always quick to pick up on these little nuggets by the writers and the director.
@@theflyingfisherman7829
True about Hannah.
@@theflyingfisherman7829 I honestly think he's confusing McKean for Ronny Cox
2002-2005 is Better Caul Saul times. Fun to see stuff from 20 years ago in it.
20:20 I get what he's saying cuz there are certain friends that I've done dirt with and other closer friends that I have not. But Jimmy didn't help out Mike because of any "bond". If you guys haven't noticed, Jimmy is extremely bored working at Davis & Main because it's a rigid, structured, by-the-books law firm. Slippin' Jimmy is used to and is addicted to action. There is no action in a formal setting with Davis & Main. Slippin' Jimmy is back and he misses the excitement of breaking the rules which is why he immediately jumped at the opportunity to help out Mike with his "flexible morals".
At the end of the previous episode ("Switch"), you see in Jimmy's new office a sign taped over a light switch reading "Always Leave ON!!! Do NOT Turn OFF!". Of course, Jimmy can't resist breaking the rules and he turns it off just to see what would happen. And during this episode, Jimmy gets a coffee cup from Kim that won't fit in his cupholder. Again, this is symbolism. Jimmy is square peg in a round hole at Davis & Main. He's a bad fit. This environment is too structured for a loose canon like Jimmy.
So nahid just kinda kept repeating the same thing over again, but what I think he means is that when you do crimes with 1 or a few people, the bond you have with them is so strong because for that brief moment you were committing that crime, you guys were in it together and it feels like the world versus you guys. like we saw each other at our lowest in terms of social acceptance terms and we still respect each other and have each others back
*300k subs. Woo hoo!*
probably won't see this but after you reach the end of the season go back and look at the episode titles. Take the first letter of each episode and unscramble it and you'll see that it is a 2 word anagram for a season 3 easter egg.
I have to agree with naheed in here, Mike and Jimmy HAVE a bond and they're supporting each other... Which is the saddest thing for what happens afterwards.
Chuck is definitely an asshole but he's not exactly wrong about Jimmy. Jimmy is just a crook through and through. The world is too boring for him unless he's breaking the rules or running some kind of game.
That scene with the cup not fitting in the new car was a perfect metaphor for Jimmy's new situation.
Chuck definitely went to the meeting to screw with Jimmy. He loves Jimmy but finds it offensive that he's considered a legitimate lawyer.
It's crazy how much they already hate Chuck..
It's all the hate for hamlin. That gets transferred to chuck. + realising how much Jimmy did for chuck, and chuck still belittled him
They hated Howard before but finding out all the shit Howard did to Jimmy was all Chuck's doing. It recontextualizes everything. Any viewer should rightfully hate Chuck's toxic jealousy of Jimmy (and what makes him a great character).
Nahid for the win!
Always playing a bad guy? What about Lenny? Spinal Tap?
And every other mockumentary movie he is in all of them
I wonder if they're confusing him with Ronny Cox...
Nice one guys
Finished 4th season already
The crazy thing is the actor who plays Nacho is this Canadian dude from Quebec. But you believe him as this Mexican gangster.
I love Nacho, if he doesn't survive the series I'm going to be very upset.
I'm very upset.
Nahid is clearly a homie
.........clearly you missed the episode where he reminisced of his high school days cruising in a hummer.
Clearly...not a homie.

On one hand Chuck is right and will be proved right. He hass a good job but still slips into his own ways doin pro bono with Mike. However. If he had validation from Chuck i dont believe he would do all the criminal stuff on the side. The buzz Jimmy would get would be from Chuck being proud of him which obv he will never get.
We can blame Chuck all we want. I think Jimmy was going down this path no matter what, Chuck just expedited it.
@@mythra7174 Either or :)
@@mythra7174 Do you think Chuck was right though?

18:56 Kim says, "I can not hear about this sort of thing ever again" in response to Jimmy's falsifying of evidence. Now, in Season 5, she wants Jimmy to tell her everything, even if it involves the cartel
