Yeah, I think that was pretty obvious. Davis & Main was a boring very corporative ad, just like everything else at the firm and that's why Jimmy never thought they would approve his commercial. Tbh they probably would have choose not to run it. It's not that Jimmy wants to be the boss
I bet Jimmy came to that conclusion when his assistant told him D&M had a lot of meetings just to get that swirling background of a previous commercial right. That was the reason he went rogue.

It's good that you guys have not caught up. These videos refreshes me on the show just when season 5 is about to come.
They might not even finish season 2 in time though, unfortunately. Nikki and Steven React just finished the show, if you want to watch them too and get caught up on all seasons.
@@rikard.h Yeah ofcorse they are not gonna reach till season5 comes. I might just go through 3&4 as it was not that too much gap, it's just lot of shit going on then suddenly I remember because of these videos.
Jimmy didn't ask approval because he didn't think he would get it after he saw the kind of commercial they made before and he hoped they would be more approving after they saw how successful it was.

here's the thing: Jimmy is doing all these things because he will never fit into the corporate straight-edge world. just like his coffee mug wouldn't fit into his new car, he doesn't fit into his new job. a part of him knows that he doesn't fit and is doing all these things because of that. Jimmy gets results but never instinctually plays by the rules and he would need to do that in order to fit in at Davis and Main.
Exactly. Some people say it's Chuck's fault Jimmy is like he is (which is true to *some* extent). But on this job Jimmy has everything you could ask for and how he still acts like he does is very telling. Once again Chuck is right, Slippin Jimmy won't change...
The toy pig that Mike gives Kaylee is first shown in Breaking Bad. Mike uses it to distract the hitman at the front door.
Jimmy would probably have made a good car salesman as well as a lawyer with his negotiating skills.
How will the elderly know about the fraud then? I mean they can't firgure out on their own and go to a lawyer, how will they know if noone's reaching out to help them?

Jimmy can't not be Jimmy. He's a guy who's going to cut corners and do as he pleases. Unfortunately that doesn't lead to working well with others.

Yellow and blue are like total opposites in this show
Ohh I never thought of that! Jimmy drives a yellow and red car (BCS logo colors) with a yellow mug while with Chuck and Howard and HMM everything is always blue (Hamlindigo blue, to be exact). I'd love to hear if you thought of some other example.
@@rikard.h there's way way way too much to count, but look at one of the very last shots of the last episode of season 4 after jimmy does his speech and he's explaining to kim how great that last con was. a lot of yellow and she's wearing her cool blue, and they're standing in between yellow and blue

if you look at the last minute or so of the scene, he's about to walk into the blue lobby that's sort of representative of order and stability and law, then he gets sucked into the yellow at the end. this happens all throughout the series. also note when characters are in profile, their bodies or heads on the far left or right of the screen when they're making a decision really show where their minds are morally
And that's why Chuck is right even if he is an absolute asshole. Jimmy just can't play by the rules even if he has the dream lawyer job. He constantly proves that he will cut corners even if not necessary. Chuck knew his brother the most and that's why he didn't want to give him the lawyer job. Like he said, "Jimmy with a law degree is like a chipmunk with a machinegun" and as we know how Jimmy turns out he was right...
Only because Chuck decided to screw him over for years when Jimmy factually straightened out until the start of bcs.

My opinion on if your having issues with copyright strikes with youtube then you can Upload just the review part of the video to youtube and the reaction on your Patreon just link and upload the video on your regular schedule and you should avoid copyright completely... though if you do that it might skew the Idea of what qualifies as a market substitute though I think you guys should be fine there
Man, I just came here after watching this episode because I needed to share the pain/cringe. Watching Jimmy sabotage his and Kim's careers is hard to watch. I know it needs to happen, but sheeesh
