"I feel so bad for Howard." This might as well be the damn tag line for this show.
Basically Jimmy story arc for the seasons.
Especially after the last few episodes that aired.
they have no idea
Especially, if you know how his arc goes
Howard's gonna live 20-30 years with this feeling... I don't think it will last that long.
Disregarding all the dramatic stuff for a moment, I've been really looking forward to their reaction to Security Consultant Mike. And I have to agree, there's something great about Mike that makes you just want to watch him doing anything.
We must protect him at all costs! Oh wait...
Lol no there isn't.
@@manvirshergill1739 you heard Manvir guys. We have to stop liking Mike’s character now.
@@eighteen-naked-cowboys when did I say that?
watching Mike find that tracker, replace the batteries and then track the guy tracking him in S3, without a single line being said was such a great subplot
"Howard's gonna live twenty, thirty years with this feeling" He sure does. In the next show "The Hamlins" you see how five years after breaking bad he creates a new family, gets a lovely home and a nice life.
He always gets back on his feet
Just a minor setback for one lawyer
Also retired from having a long prosperous career….🥹🥹🥹
His inspirational blog posts go viral.
@@dwilborn1257 He becomes a Court TV personality and covers the Depp/Heard trial.
Jimmy took Chuck's last words to heart. He "stopped" caring.
considering that the last words jimmy heard from chuck were "you never mattered all that much to me" his reaction to his death and passing his guilt to howard makes a lot of sense
I LOVE that this legit turned into an Ali vs Lee conversation, peak Blind Wave.
Crazy how Howard started off as a red herring "smarmy rich asshole" and is probably one of the very few genuinely blameless and heartbreakingly tragic characters on the show
It's honestly mind-blowing how they handled Howard throughout the show.
it wasn't a "red herring", he was surly an asshole in early seasons. Buts that the beauty of those shows, no one is just a "bad guy", or a "good guy", it all depends on the point of view. Same was with Walter. Just shades of gray, you just learn more and more about them as the time goes
@@ClemRusty1940 i see what you did there
I read somewhere that they started off making him a typical foil who was Jimmy’s rival and legitimately a slime ball, but they decided that was too played out. So they adapted him a bit
@@hellisrevealed Ssshhhhh...

Jimmy whistling at the end reminds of Walt whistle after the boy died.
No fucks given
Yeah, I was done with Walt already by that point, and now the same with Jimmy. This show made me really hate him, Gus and also new Kim. And those other two new characters that I really like? Well....
wait what boy? Drew Sharp? Been a while since I rewatched Breaking Bad
@@arafat9828 The boy Todd killed when they did the Train Heist.
@@jkliopghj cringe
The ending to this episode is one of the most brilliant, tragic and sad scenes I've ever seen. Jimmy's reaction at the end is devastating and opens a new chapter in the story. The psychological aspect of this ending is fascinating but truly tragic especially in retrospect
Yes, and it parallels Breaking Bad, again, where Walt whistles while Jesse is so upset about Todd killing the kid.
@@sallyatticum It's different. Walt truly didn't care about the kid dying. Walt easily put that moment behind him and moved on. That's why he was whistling. Jimmy truly loved his bother..but from here on out he's in complete detachment and denial about Chuck. Chuck becomes a blank spot in his psyche. Even as the majority of his actions are in reaction to his unresolved issues with his brother.
@@djsosonut I didn't say they were the same, I said it parallels. A lot of the scenes and circumstances in BCS are very similar to ones in BB, but the motivations are different or the results are different. But they are very reminiscent of one another.
@@djsosonut If you "truly love" someone, I hope you wouldn't sabotage his job (that you know is so essential to him) by doctoring his documents and snitching on him, especially if he's suffering from a mental condition that is likely to get worse as a result. Even if you feel like he has been treating you unfairly.
@@quark1153 No promises. Love and hate are two sides of the same coin. If my loves decide to flip that coin, they best be ready to pay for that gamble. The people I love know I have very little forgiveness in me. And that I'm vindictive as fuck. Usually works in their favor.
I want you guys to keep chucks last words in mind regarding jimmy this season “why bother” “why care why make a show of this” essentially telling jimmy to bury his emotions deep inside and not care that was chuck’s last peice of advice to him as screwed as it may seems
Because you had people dropping major hints when you watched it, right?
Not really i just tried to wrap my head around jimmy this season and that’s what came to mind in helping me rationalise his actions this season.
Except Chuck didn’t tell him to feel nothing he told him to stop apologizing and just accept it. If you’re going to keep hurting people then hurt them and move on, don’t hurt people and then come back to apologize for it like an apology is supposed to make it all better. Saying “sorry” is merely a social gesture, it doesn’t actually do anything. Your actions will always mean more than your words. A proper apology is saying sorry and never doing it again. If you say sorry knowing you'll probably do it again then you're just a scumbag underserving of respect. Chuck's point was basically for Jimmy to stop apologizing if he's just going to do it again, it doesn't mean anything and just makes Jimmy look like a man-child in Chuck's eyes.
That being said i don't think that's what's happening in this episode. I imaging he felt a lot of guilt upon hearing about the insurance but his brain knew this type of guilt will eat him alive so he shifted the blame to someone else so he can go on with his life and sleep well at night. It's a basic defense mechanism.
People grieve in different ways and it doesn't necessarily negate the depth of their sorrow versus another. However with Jimmy I think he really does feel guilty and sad, but he also wishes he didn't because he simultaneously harbors all the resentment toward his brother still. So when Howard provides that opportunity for his inner self to blame Howard, it was like inner slippin jimmy able to pawn this emotional grift off of himself and onto Howard.
I don’t think Jimmy is taking the opportunity to push his guilt onto someone else, it’s that he’s accepting who he is now. He’s taking Chuck’s advice, to stop apologizing and just own the fact that he hurts people. Stop feeling remorse because it only hurts him, nothing will change, he will continue to hurt people and he realizes it now. Almost self-fulfillingly, he hates Chuck the most for being right and making him realize this as a parting gift, so his lack of remorse is actually real now.
@@redblobdude But what he said is confirmed, not theory.
These guys don't realize how long we all wait between the "Gene" scenes.
I kinda love Mike doing security consultancy. Not just because it's hilarious, but also because damn right they should be following the rules! Reminds me of a factory job I had where it was unwritten policy to not get any ear defenders for the temporary workers, only have enough for the permanent staff. Because we'll be gone soon so our hearing doesn't matter I guess? There was this alarm that was so loud I was physically doubled over from it, and it went off very frequently. It was actually impeding my duties it was that bad. I do have sensitive hearing to particular frequencies from my autism, but it was obviously loud enough to require them to have ear defenders at all. Shouldn't get anywhere near that situation, right? And I was only a teenager at the time so I didn't think I had a right to complain about anything. So when Mike's all up and like "get the lift belts" I'm like hell yeah get the lift belts!! Save someone's back!
In the "Better Call Saul" episode of Breaking Bad, the name Ignacio is mentioned. It's the scene where Walt & Jesse kidnap Saul and drag him out into the desert, and Saul says, "It wasn't me, it was Ignacio, did Lalo send you?"
These intros are so great guys!!!
We’ve finally entered the back half of the show. Man, if you thought the first half was a ride, you have no idea what’s in store.
"I guess that's your cross to bear."
Jimmy "kicks the dog" moment at Howard counter: x1
If you want to watch "Mike: Security Consultant - The Show", you can! Look for season two of the Better Call Saul Employee Training web series.
I actually really like the idea of a serious drama show just suddenly incorporating superhuman powers 4 seasons in. But it would have be done in a different universe and with very slight foreshadowing in the seasons before that only become apparent afterwards.
"Howard's gonna live for 30 yrs with this feeling."
The baseball team in The Simpsons is the Isotopes and that's where Albuquerque gets their name from.
I think it’s also because of Sandia and all the government nuclear research that was done in New Mexico.
7 more episode and guys gonna meet Lalo 🙂 can't wait.
Lalo is such a big influence in the show yet it's amazing how he doesn't appear in it until the end of S4
I think Lalo is actually were the show loses quality. His violence is too cartoony for the show.
@@Yora21 With all of Jimmy's cons, Lalo is the guy you find cartoony?

Don’t ever change. Y’all are great. Always lots of fun to watch and listen to.
Howard’s gonna live 20, 30 years with this feeling
“Is he gonna put it all on Howard?” Oh just you wait.
There's actually a mini series about Mike giving security consultant training videos.
He should appear randomly in other shows about work places.
I think something in Jimmy snapped when Howard mentioned the insurance. Jimmy could not handle the guilt of what he did possibly leading to Chuck taking his life.
What neither of them realized is Chuck’s relapse did not begin with the insurance or either his firing, but with Chuck telling Jimmy that he never mattered to him. When Chuck cut Jimmy out, he lost his purpose of undermining him.
"he lost his purpose of undermining him." Lol what. All he's ever lived for is undermining his little brother. That's so stupid 😂
@@BhlackBishop I don't think that's ALL he had to live for, but he'd already lost everything else, that was the final straw.
Ignacio (Nacho) is indeed mentioned in Breaking Bad when Walter and Jesse kidnap Saul in hopes of intimidating him. Saul says something along the lines of "it wasn't me, It was Ignacio!", hinting at an important event that involves Nacho and got Saul in trouble. I won't say more, except that there's another character you guys will meet soon who is also mentioned during that scene.
It’s not that Jimmy is taking the opportunity to push his guilt onto someone else, it’s that he’s accepting who he is now.
Except he's not owing it, he's blaming it all on Howard instead as a defense mechanism, otherwise he would've said "yeah it was me!!!, Barry".
@@BhlackBishop i don't see it as him blaming it on Howard but more of him being a dick to Howard cuz of his hatred of him. That smug smile at the end shows that. He knows that he could take the fall for Chuck's death and reliev Howard from him pain and guilt, but he chooses not to do that.
Granted, later in the season he does feel bad after seeing Howard's condition
I just realized that Jimmy not answering Howard the first time is symbolic of him being at peace for just a little longer before his entire world is turned upside down.
omg here comes the best seasons of the show!!!! im so hyped for yall.
The baseball team is a real team. They actually named it after the Simpson's episode.
Was going to comment this after listening to their discussion. Springfield had a minor league baseball team named the Isotopes and Homer discovered the owners were moving them to Albuquerque so he went on a hunger strike to protest it. Great episode. Lol.
Love these reactions I’m caught up through season 5 now can’t wait to see more reactions
Can't wait to see Rick's thoughts on 6x7 😂
"Howard's going to live 20, 30 years with this feeling ..." 😬 Damn it Rick!
Michael McKean (Chuck) is known more for comedy than drama. You should check out the movie, This is Spinal Tap, it's one of the best mockumentary comedies ever. You'd get a better appreciation for his dramatic role seeing how good he is at comedy
They watched Good Omens and I can't remember if they actually recognized him as Witchfinder Sergeant Shadwell or if someone had to tell them.
Nothing beats Lenny and the Squigtones

this show is elite. god i cant wait to see future reactions.
Security Consultant Mike is some funny shit🤣
My favorite from UFC 1 was the Sumo vs Karate. Straight out of a Jr High locker room argument. Karate got on the Sumo's back and just started hitting the sumo in the back, shoulder and head. Sumo got disoriented and the ref called it. 20 seconds later, the Sumo was fine, the Karate guy had to forfeit his next match because he'd broken multiple bones in both hands just from delivering barehanded strikes.
intros always on point
Mike Ehrmantraut is top tier entertainment plain and simple
Eric was thinking of Anderson Silva mocking his opponent and getting knocked out as opposed to Jon Jones.
Seasons 4 and 5 are top tier my goodness. You guys have no idea what’s about to come.
I have to think that as famous as HHM is in that town, the trial would have been front page news. It wouldn’t have taken long for the insurance company to be aware of the trail. I think that’s what they do.
Saul mentions Ignacio once in BB
This show has amazed me with its ability to completely challenge my perception of characters. Howard is a great example; I really respect his professionalism. I initially underestimated his caring nature and rationality. He's a stand-up guy that the show kind of frames as a snarky rich guy in season 1. Chuck largely as well. He was annoying because of how he inconvenienced our "protagonist" but he was honestly rarely in the wrong at all. Fantastic show, this is as far as I am rn.
I would watch a whole episode of Mike taking up shift at Los Pollos if I could
Mike wanted to make a presence for himself at Madrigal. He is very wary about having his real name attached to any kind of scam. He was there doing the job he is on the books of being paid for.
You guys should start rating these episodes!
You guys MUST watch Warrior next!
Phenomenal Tuco impression. 10/10
""It wasn't me, it was Ignacio. He's the one! Lalo didn't send you?"
Poor Howard, I hope he finds peace, he doesn’t deserve that guilt
All I know about weight cutting I learned from Ippo, so I feel like I'm fairly qualified in saying this.
Ali would smash Lee into the ground. Like yeah, the guy's fast, but he's not the Flash. He's human. He's going to take a hit, and it's going to fuck him up for real. Also, every hit Ali takes is basically going to be run through 50% damage reduction. Lee might win like, 1 or 2 out of 10, but he's going to have to be insanely lucky in those ones for it to happen.
people overestimate speed so much, I don't understand it at all. Being fast is great and all, but size is such a huge deal that we have to separate fighters based on it just to keep things fair.
Ali himself said he couldn't beat Ali. He mentioned how his hand was so little compared to Ali. Lee's durability was unknown, but Ali is famously one of the most durable fighters ever, with an iron jaw, add his hand speed, foot speed, and evasiveness, and Lee would be in trouble.
He is coming....
16:00 "Howard's gonna live 20 - 30 years with this feeling." Yep sure will :)
Was about to comment that. Yeah, sure, 20-30 years.
Why must you spoil?

What is Jimmy looking at after the fire, sitting on the bench outside?
I honestly barely remember this season other than a handful of episodes, of course I only watched it once
Oh, I just noticed the whistling.... Like Walt whistling after the kid got shot by Todd.
Who the fuck is Harold
Welp death is a scary thing. And incredibly complex for how simple the mechanism is. Life just ends but every thread attached can be frayed unpredictably. Does Jimmy take his brothers words to heart, Don't regret anything, It's not worth it. Is he trying to cope by mimicking his brother's attitude about just not caring. Is it tearing him apart and he just can't bring himself to feel that right now.
How does Kim feel, how is Howard coping. What do they look like in the moments we don't see them.
I guess that's our cross to bear as the audience
I really liked your take on it.
It hits kim how emotionless jimmy is, in my eyes even more than chucks death itself.
But i hate how she kinda judges him for it. If someone doesn't feel something you can't force them to.
And when you're angry at them it's possible they don't even really know what they did "wrong".
Which i picked up when jimmy read chucks letter.
California State Police determined from statistics that the two biggest factors in a fight are 1.Size and 2.Endurance and only after is 3.Skill. Ali would absolutely destroy Lee in a fight
Bestshow ever... best character arks...
leaving aside that throwing the guilt to howard is a fuck up thing to do. you cant expect a person (specially an emotionally inestable person like jimmy) just to accept that his brother suicide is his faul and admit it to others fucking 2 or 3 days after the death. of course he is gonna be in denial and looking for other people to blame.
my sentiments exactly. everyone grieves differently and because Jimmy is already emotionally vulnerable because of the last conversation he had with Chuck, we can expect that he isn't going to be handling his grief in a healthy way. I think he definitely feels major guilt already for what happened to Chuck but because Howard gave him an out, he took it. from what we know about Jimmy already, he isn't the type to want to sit in and process his feelings so he'll find any way to bury or hide them.
exactly. when rick said "Really?" I was like, "really, what??? you expect him to admit he caused his brother's suicide in front of a guy he doesn't even like???"
Be careful with putting blame on someone when it's about suicide. After all it was still him who kicked the lantern... not jimmy, not howard, not kim. It was still a choice done by chuck. All of them influenced what happened.
I know we want bad guys to point at because it's easy, but the world isn't black and white.
@@chrisakaschulbus4903 This isn't real life; don't act like it is. The narrative directly shows us that his encounter with Jimmy was the straw that broke his back. Yes, there were a multitude of other things that weighed on him, but Jimmy was the final shove.
And I'm not "blaming" Jimmy; that's just how the story goes. This show is a tragedy. Jimmy being a large cause for his brother's death is a large part of this tragedy, especially given that they ultimately love each other at the end of the day.
The whole Lee v Ali conversation got me thinking of Baki u guys really need to watch that anime
8:19 “Jimmy, don’t.” Rewatching this part it suddenly hit me that Howard may have seen Chuck’s corpse and wanted to spare Jimmy the disturbing sight. That makes his psychological pain and trauma in the following months even more unbearable.
this episode was exactly when I began to root against Jimmy

"Grand of a scheme" ....it's coming.
Ayyy
Howard truly deserves better
To give some color, jimmy feels guilty after what Howard said because the root cause was jimmy messing with his insurances
Of course, nobody asks!
Don't you see he has a clip board?!
Jimmy/Saul as well as Kim has always done Howard dirty. Howard always has to make the hard calls and has to be "the bad guy" but it's never been personal, selfishness or even about money. Howard decided to force Chuck out to save the firm and the jobs of every employee and was willing to buy Chuck out from his own pocket/ personal loans. Howard was always nice to Jimmy and only had to be the guy when Chuck ordered him to do so. HHM paid fir Kim's school and Howard told Kim that she wouldn't have to pay it back and sincerely wished her well. Howard is a nice guy and unfortunately always gets the short end of the stick. This is the second time we see how low Jimmy can get, first being Irene and now letting Howard think that it is his fault that Chuck committed suicide when it was Jimmy who caused the insurance company to raise their rates
Nacho was a bit of an idiot here: go home and then get rid of the pills. Of course, he was so tense, Gus sensed it.
Wouldn’t make a difference Gus or his people would have likely found the pills so laying low wouldn’t help…. What if when he had came back and Gus’s people or someone was there
Yeah I was kinda upset on second watching, I guess I understand his nerves were getting the better of him probably at this point, but still, I wish he would have been more discreet or done it in the dark not under a light.

Bruce Lee would wreck Ali. Because dirty tactics and kicks. Plus, he actually did learn grappling, from judo guys, wrestlers, and catch-wrestlers. Gene LeBell, amongst others. But, a modern day top level MMA fighter would probably beat both of those again. (There’s always the puncher's chance, though! In both scenarios.) 😉
Your intro is awesome, but needs to start deteriorating like the BCS intro.
It took 3 seasons guys but we finally did it, we got rid of the evil brother who made jimmy who he is, now, let's follow the great jimmy mcGill or I should say, Saul Goodman, he is the main character after all... and even he does terrible things and ruin people's lives, he has a good heart
"he has a good heart" --- "If what's standing between me and a million bucks are some old ladys tears i suggest investing in kleenex"
I’m sure Howard can definitely agree with you on that.
Dear Editor: You can cut out the 20 minutes of these guys talking about WWE and other random crap that doesn’t pertain to the episode. In fact you can do that in every episode. For example, going on about what rights a person does and doesn’t have in a courtroom while representing themselves (none of them have the foggiest idea but they talk about it forever), or why Howard (sorry, I mean “Harold”) can’t talk about one of the company’s employees’ confidential health issues (or the difference between HIPAA and FMLA), or how malpractice insurance works. Just a tip for the future. Otherwise, good job.
Do not say "O" when you mean "Zero"
