You said that using a CNC doesn't really feel like woodworking. I bet our Grandfathers said the same thing when power drills and power saws became available outside of industrial applications.
Nicely done and good looking too. I was surprised how much better the ash looked when the finish went on. I buy a lot of blades at auction and have never had a decent storage solution. Adding this to my summer build list! I'll add the video to my channel when I do it.

Nicely done. I'm working on a kitchen corner bench right now for my daughter but this blade storage cabinet will be my next build. Instead of milling via CNC I'll drill a hole so I have a way to push the blade up. Probably use a dowel to center the blade on the shelf. I like the cork, color coordination is great. Yea, mahogany sides with dovetails, plywood shelves and walnut handles.
It is very simple construction that is easy to adapt to the material you have available and number of blades. For the trays it would be easy to make a router template and use a flush trim bit. All I have growing in my yard are ash, walnut, & maple so that is what I use for all my projects . It is nice to have the blades stored safely next to the saw. The cork cuts great with a router and it would be easy to follow a template. I used the slots so there would be some airflow in the cabinet. Thanks for watching. Post a video of how yours comes out.

Grabbing it from the sides rather than top and bottom is a bit clever, and the angle on the front to make for easier reading the label, I think I'll use both of those ideas. Thanks for sharing.

The final spacing is 9/16" from the bottom of one to the bottom of the next one up. It is great to have a good way to store and protect blades that did not take too long to make. Thanks for watching my video.
How much clearance did you end up with on the dado thickness and depth? I want the drawers to slide easily, but not so loose that they slop around, or get in a bind.
Any woodworker could do the same thing with a router and template. I use a cnc router, plasma table, and 3d printer in most of my videos so you may want to find a different channel.
