    I like that you tabbed your book by 9 weeks! I've never seen that! So smart! I might need to borrow that idea for next year.... 💕💕

    Shauna! I continue to enjoy seeing what master books are all about and what they look like inside. While we already have all our curriculum locked in and are very happy with it, I still enjoy checking out and seeing other options. So great that this curriculum is Christian-based and looks very engaging for kids to do. Thank you for sharing this very helpful video 💜

      Thank you so much for your sweet words Holly! I love seeing other curriculum reviews too. If only we could use all the curriculum! 😂

    Oh my gosh I clicked on your K video and it somehow put me on this one... watching you flip through this curriculum with fractions started getting me really nervous lol (I just ordered the K book for my 5 yr old) and I started thinking oh my gosh if we're going to have to do fractions in kindergarten we shouldn't even start math for another 2 years 😂😂 I'm glad I looked back up at the title and realize this was 3rd grade. Now I'm off to find your kindergarten video again.

    Great workbook!!! I like the variety of types of problems! And love that there is color on the pages!

      We’ve been using this for so long that I forget not all workbooks come in color!

    We used Masterbooks math for 2nd , 3rd and 4th grade. We really enjoyed it, but decided my granddaughter needed a bit more. For 5th grade we are using Saxon 5/4. Very different indeed.

      I hear a lot of great things about Saxon! I hope you all enjoy it.

      How did you like Saxon? I hear a lot about it through classical conversations but haven’t tried it.

    We are thinking of using level 3 maths for a living education as my daughter struggled with some parts of level 3 so needs extra teaching, we are also looking at other curriculums and/or supplements!!! It looks like it’s a possibility a good choice for my daughter

      I hope you find the perfect fit and hope this flip through helps narrow it down!

    Hi! Does Masterbooks suggest making a big skip counting chart on a poster board? Or can you just use a regular skip counting chart that is 8by10?

    • @HomegrownHomeschool
      @HomegrownHomeschool  Рік тому

      They suggest making one on the poster board but you can also always buy one. I think depending on the type of learner you have making it will help with memorizing but that’s also not for every child.

      @@HomegrownHomeschool yeah I saw an example on their website and it looks awesome. Just don’t particularly feel like making it 🤣

    Is it open and go? Is there a parent section to read to teach them the lesson?

    • @HomegrownHomeschool
      @HomegrownHomeschool  5 місяців тому +1

      @@simplycreatinglife it is open and go and anything that is on the page is what you read to them for the parent portion. There’s not another book for just the teacher.

    Hi, good morning what is the test for know what my kid need ?? If you can tell me , also you know curriculum for 3rd Grade or 4 grade, thank you I hope you answer

    • @HomegrownHomeschool

      It really depends on the curriculum you choose. A child can be on level 3 for one curriculum and level 4 in a different curriculum. I have a video on how to start homeschooling where I have a link to see what your homeschool theory is that would help narrow down your curriculum choices.

    Did your student finish this in its entirety? Did you stick with MB again for the next level or switch to something else?

    • @HomegrownHomeschool
      @HomegrownHomeschool  Рік тому +1

      Hi! We did stick with it through its entirety but after using MB for level 2 and 3 we did move on from it. I talk about all the reasons for it here if you want to see why. ua-cam.com/video/puoEt1kYjlM/v-deo.html
      The MB portion starts around the 7:00 mark
