I plan to use the practice book as review over summer. I love how Masterbooks creates a homeschool where you can add in or simply use the books to their full potential and not feel overwhelmed trying to fit it all in during a homeschool day.
hahah...yeah you can tell I've never been personally, just ordered online because it's literally hours away from me. But I'm hoping to get a road trip there within the year.
I thought I loved Masterbooks until we switched to Math U See recently. Masterbooks definitely took the friction (tears) out of math for us for four years however, my kids didn’t have a deep understanding of math concepts until MUS. When we got to level 5 the holes in their math understanding became very apparent when we started fractions and decimals. The way Mr Demme teaches math concepts with those blocks is unlike anything I’ve ever seen and I will never look anywhere else for a math program. We’ve been filling in the holes with MUS. We will probably use Masterbooks for extra/supplemental work (although MUS does not need to be supplemented at all). I do love the way Masterbooks is designed (minus the stories) with few problems on the page but teaching instruction with MUS has been far superior for my kids!
I love that there are many choices. For my kids who are strong or gifted in math, MB gas been a great fit. For my child who needs more practice, we are using Math With Confidence. I love both! ❤
I've heard nothing but good things about Math U See! The biggest downsides I've heard are the price and that it's mastery based which doesn't work for all kids (especially those with neurodiversities). But for the rest of us, it's an awesome choice! And I will say, I agree that MB was a little light on practice until they introduced the practice makes perfect books. Its fine for simple, concrete math, but when you start getting more complicated, then many would want more practice.
@@RaisingAtoZ I'm using MUS with four children who have special needs! There is review :) I think that is a common misconception of MUS. The review isn't like we are used to in spiral math programs, but it is still very much there and very effective. It has been such a blessing to switch over to Math U See and I only wish we had started out with it.

That's a great use for the practice book! I love that it's not too overwhelming and we can customize it as we need too.
Masterbooks mama here! My kids love to do their math. However, I got to say level 5 is way more intense, but my son is thriving
We're starting level 4 sooner and looked through the book and did notice that it's moving up and getting harder.
Masterbooks is my favorite!
I've been very happy with their math program. It's just so simple and clear and even pretty.
@@RaisingAtoZ agree!
This was a very helpful review. Thank you!
You are so welcome!
That was excellent!
Oh good, glad you liked it!
love your vidoes !!!!!!!!

Learning house is in Bradford**

@@momofmany6619 Definitely! That is one of the best things about homeschooling! We can use the curriculum that best fits each student!
