Honestly, this is the best video out there if you want to plan a trip to Malta! I have been watching all of the Malta travel guides as I will be going in May, but none of them were as elaborate as this one!! Thank you
I've visited Malta twice and LoL at 5:15 I was using those things to do yoga poses on top - they were my personal pedestals - lol. Nice to know the history behind them.
I love it when people see Malta for the first time. I had to move out to appreciate where I was raised! Malta truely has the best weather as like the gentleman in the video I love hot weather and wish to inform him, summer gets HOT! 30s - 40sC for months on end. Thanks for providing the perfect antidote for when I am home sick!
Malta is a great place to visit for sure. Living there? Another thing completely. I lived there for a year and a half. Island fever is a real thing. Great video.
We are going to Malta at the end of August for a family holiday, so I have been watching some videos to find out more about Malta. If you can cope with it's tiny size, Malta with around 300 days a year of sunshine, is an ideal place to live in. The winters are mild, but it's summer can get quite hot, especially, July and August. However, no matter which part of the Island you'd live in, you are never far from the sea, and the Mediteranean sea is something you'd need to experience, because it is absolutely fantastic. Malta is part of the EU, and compared to most EU countries, it has probably the lowest cost of living. You will experience lots of fire works and village festas, especially during summer. It has a very low crime rate, and quite safe to walk the streets at night. I live in Australia, and I have been visiting the Island for many years.......I am never tired of visiting. Whenever I go, I like to go around April/ May as the next 3 months tend to be too hot for my liking. September is also a good month to visit. HIGHLY RECOMMEND A VISIT.

I came back from Malta half a month ago and absolutely loved it. I miss being there! Some of the places you went to, I did as well (Upper and Lower Barrakka Gardens, Fort St Angelo, Mdina - including Fontanella Tea Garden, Camino, so those brought back my memories of being there), but I also got to see some places I didn't get to yet, but definitely will in the future. It is just such a beautiful country and I can't wait to go back. Also, your Airbnb looked super nice as well. I stayed in a hostel in St Julian's but maybe next time I'll get one of those as well.
This is such an informative guide to Malta - and perhaps my favourite of your videos (could be because I could also see myself living there). I'd love to go to the Blue Grotto, Mdina, Gozo & Comino Islands too. The local specialties looked pretty tasty - I'd go for the cheese ravioli for sure and those filled croissants looked delicious too. I like finding accommodations in convenient locations - it's usually worth it in my opinion.
Malta was the first country I ever visited outside of my own, I was 6 and still remember how small and safe it felt. Didn’t realise it was on your shortlist of places to live, so exciting 😊 It’s so nice seeing you both looking so happy there and enjoying the vibe. Craig has never been so we plan to visit together someday, you’re making it look so relaxing and with the lemon pie and then the warm croissants Craig will be in heaven! All your meals looked great and your Airbnb looked lovely too in a great location.

Hi Guys! Nice video! Can I ask from Hagar Sim how did you go to the ferry terminal to the three cities? Did you take the bus 74 again back to Valetta? Thank you.
Yes you would take the same bus back. You can walk to the ferry terminal from the Valletta bus station. You might also be able to change buses and ride a bus to the three cities. You might want to use Google Maps to see which way is faster.
This was in February and the weather was great. A jacket is necessary in the morning and at night but in the heat of the day we were able to walk around without our jackets on.
Great video and information on Valletta. We will be there for a day on a cruise at the end of February. Where does the ferry drop you off in the 3 cities? Is that the same location to get back on the ferry to return to Valletta? How much time did you spend in the 3 cities? We are hoping to do the 3 cities and then some of the top things to do in Valletta in 1 day since we only have 1 day. Thanks!!
We spent about 4 hours in the 3 cities so it is possible. I would recommend starting your sightseeing in Valletta and if you have spare time then go to the 3 cities. Yes the ferry picks up and drops off at the same location. You can use Google maps to find it.
Be aware that buses can be unreliable in country areas, being infrequent and prone to cancellation or being full up. Also, they mostly stop running by around 10pm, so plan your evenings accordingly. The narrow roads and the heavy traffic also mean that Malta is dangerous for cycling: so much so that you seldom see anyone on a bike. Apart from that, Malta is a beautiful place.

We would want to try the lemon meringue dessert...and those cream filled croissants. What you've shown of the area so far is very pretty 🤩 You Airbnb looked quite nice. Yep, we ate a lot of good dessert here, a rarity for us, but a nice treat. We really should use the desk though. It is just too hard to edit when you want to take full advantage of the location.

Most people in Malta speak English as it was a former British colony back in the day. And we were treated very well there. We felt very comfortable. Shoot, we're even considering moving there we liked it so much.

I would love to live in Malta but don't know if it would be possible. I'm a British citizen and think Malta's in the EU, so after Brexit that would be difficult. I could not buy a property. I'll soon have a state pension, as well as a private pension, so feel I could afford to rent somewhere nice but I think I couldn't move there unless I could buy a property, which would be impossible for me.

That’s correct. There are no forests in Malta mostly due to the climate but also due to deforestation many years ago.

We took a taxi, but it is possible to take the bus as well. Google maps can tell you if there is a bus route available to your accommodations.

Epic destination. i am trying to work in a Malta, Sicily Tunisia trip for next year since I cannot get them on the drive around the World. We are both ecological anthropologists. Bear studies food culture and food production, and I am a sustainability archaeologist. Are there any language barriers and how did the people treat you?
Most people in Malta speak English as it was a former British colony back in the day. And we were treated very well there. We felt very comfortable. Shoot, we're even considering moving there we liked it so much.

No, we haven't decided where to live yet. Instead, we've decided to continue traveling for a while longer.
How many cities did you visit in a day?
Just one per day, Valletta, the three cities, blue grotto, mdina, and Gozo. I think we spent 2 days exploring Valletta but one day is sufficient.
I would love to live in Malta but don't know if it would be possible. I'm a British citizen and think Malta's in the EU, so after Brexit that would be difficult. I could not buy a property. I'll soon have a state pension, as well as a private pension, so feel I could afford to rent somewhere nice but I think I couldn't move there unless I could buy a property, which would be impossible for me.
We’re looking into a getting digital nomad visa in Malta. You also can check out their retirement visa. There are several visa options to consider. Good luck on your move to Malta!
