You really should come to Endicott new York, if you want to see some real dickhead cops who think they can do whatever they want
This is disgusting that you go to file paperwork and get stalked by police
Caleb Lenga it is less so when you consider the chaos he created on the first visit and his claims of violations. They were doing him a favor and making sure he didn’t run into more problems. He had his own personal escort. Imagine how much better the process would have gone if he had just gone through the check point like a responsible adult.
Caleb Lenga I don’t really think he is interested in being arrested again. To date that hasn’t worked out so well for him. His last case ended up with him taking a deal.
Sue the hell out of them. Having a cop follow you is a form of intimidation. Add that to your lawsuit.
I agree 👍
Yes. And there is a term for it.
“To chill the exercise of rights”
And it’s a federal crime too.
That's not only inhibiting manipulation that's tampering witness victim Etc that's not a misdemeanor that's felonious
It is profiling. and it is illegal.
Except it's not intimidation. Nothing the cop did was even a little bit intimidating.
"I'm a independent journalist"
"Literally anyone can say that"
Yeah. That's the entire point, buddy.
You'd think that the government can't decide who can and can't be a journalist... it's just not fair.
The gov can indeed decide who is a journalist... in North Korea, Communist China, Russia, and lots of other places. Thats what makes USA more free, and thank you for working on that for us cotizens, obviously, it is needed!
That is the Beautiful Thing about the way Our Constitution was written!
As if constitutional rights aren’t for the people and somehow only apply to “professional journalists.”

It is starting to become clear (from your videos) that internal affairs is the biggest problem - they are a joke - you cannot expect any entity to investigate itself - or someone to “investigate” the people they work with every day
Crookedcops.
We The ppl need to create our own internal affairs!
The use of police intimidation by this city is insane.
"But, anyone can say they're an independent journalist." Yes. Yes, they can. That's the ENTIRE POINT!
People seem to be getting confused between journalist and professional journalist. Anyone who keeps a journal whether it's electronic, on paper, or any other way to record is keeping a journal or record of things. Even if it is your profession you don't have to be employed by anyone or thing, you can be self employed.
@@6TragicHero9 Sure, but first and foremost: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
Anyone that is given a gun and a badge by the government needs to be watched closely by as many people as possible .

Although I am not from the USA but found Sean's videos very educational.
I would FOIA internal affairs calenders of events to see if they were actually at a training, and also ask for the number of ia employees and how many attended
The fact they escalated this encounter is evidence of their gang mentality. I wouldn’t think they would like to air their dirty laundry out in public like a lawsuit would do.

wow, seems like your freedom is a real inconvenience to your government employees.
When they say IA or whomever isn't available or out of office, FOIA that departments schedule for that day.
Sure why not, but also do you think that would mean anything even if it was an outright lie? It's not a crime to be a bad employee. It would possibly be denial of service but the officer (very wisely) ended up taking it. The city doesn't care and without a crime the FBI doesn't care either.
@@razjml it's evidence for court. So yea, it would mean something in court, it's called Stonewalling.
@@401Impala Stonewalling and being a bad department in itself isn't a crime. It's a personnel matter and could be sent to the chief of police if LIA thinks the chief cares about the conduct of his department (fat chance).
Again, it's something only the FBI would possibly care about in regards to establishing systemic problems with the department. And they did eventually take his report so it isn't denial of service. No one is required to talk to you on receipt of a document.
@@razjml I never said it was a crime in itself. It's evidence that supports the narrative of that department. If he pulls the records and it shows there was in fact IA available at the time, you have solid evidence of an officer lying. Not just your word vs the officer. What else do they lie about? It's more impactful when you can hand off the paperwork and have a dialogue with IA, you become more than a piece of paper at that point.
"They wont do anything so i wont pursue it". Cool outlook on life, bro.
@@401Impala It's more impactful, sure, and they would be very wise to follow up with him for exactly the reason you stated, as I'm sure they have standards to follow.
It's not defeatist to ask what you think he would do with certain information if he had it, and you still haven't come up with a response to that question. Let's say the documents prove someone in the chain wasn't accurately informed of someone's whereabouts or availability. Okay. To whom are you going to take that, and what are you alleging to them? He could put up a video, sure? People could complain and make calls? But they are already doing that here, and for much bigger reasons.
There are bigger fish to fry here. Simply stating to FBI investigators that an IA officer was not made available to him and expressing doubt about that does the *same* work in establishing a narrative of the department -- maybe even more so -- than going down every rabbit hole in front of him.
The SGT came across as a good cop. polite, and helpful.
That sergeant has absolutely no interest in your rights.
The maze of government is nauseating. They make the maze so difficult hoping most will stop trying to progress through it. It is so disgusting that they assign an officer to follow you. And low IQ
And add the city-state and LE agency
"Why would you need a card if you have the right to do something?"
We 2nd Amendment advocates have been asking that for decades.
Fair. Fair. I’ve got to admit though, it’s a little bit reassuring to know people need to be processed to obtain and carry a firearm.
I realize said process can’t stop anyone from illegally obtaining and carrying one, but I’d wager that it deters many people.
I would be disturbed, in the scenario you’re proposing, to find that some of the people I’ve had the misfortune of meeting could EASILY and legally obtain and carry a firearm. I think the process itself is more effort than it’s worth for a lot of these yahoos, so they just don’t bother.
But on a fundamental level, I agree with you.
Have you ever heard: "The pen is mightier than the sword." Look back through history and you will see that more people have been convinced to do horrible things because of what is protected by our first amendment. e.g. the Crusades and Hitler.
Imagine having to surrender your identity to practice religion, free speech, or freedom of the press. That's what we have to do to legally practice the second amendment. Not to mention that some cities, and I believe states, require lengthy and costly permits to keep a firearm in your private residence. It's very rare for a criminal to jump through all the hoops to obtain a concealed carry permit so why should an innocent, law abiding citizen have to go through such effort?
@@mendelson6052 as a left leaning legal gun owner myself i dont get the logic of needing additional permission to get a gun.. sure background checks are fine by me, they are in place and mostly work. but making it harder to obtain guns legally wont make it harder to obtain guns illegally. most of the guns used in crimes are stolen guns that are in gang circulation or on the black market, some are even imported illegally into the US and used. lawmakers should back off of gun laws, more laws wont stop criminals it only creates more criminals. you have to realize there is legitimately no way forward facing to change or make a law that will remove guns from criminals effectively without making many more of us once law abiding gun owners into criminals.

Isn't it lovely how almost everyone who took an oath to uphold the Constitution always says "anyone can say their a journalist, where are your credentials?" It is sickening
"we're a police department, we're not like an office" smh
Lol
I did not realize how much we as citizens and government workers walk around not knowing constitutional rights, to include myself. I learn something and is fun to watch all at the same time. Keep it up!!
🤔 I find it strange as an Australian living in Australia know the first secoñd fourth fifth
Crazier knowing how many don't understand that Sean is the good guy in all these.
What's worse is veterans who feel that not everyone has the same Rights as them and that they loose their minds over someone exercising their Constitutional Rights using the flag but, are totally clueless that they swore an oath to protect and defend the US Constitution, not the flag . In their eyes , you can have your Constitutional Rights trampled on but, don't wrinkle that flag which you have a Right to wrinkle
Because we allow it just like the sheeple being lead to the slaughter
Sean DON'T EVER CHANGE. DUDE SOMETIMES YOU ARE TO NICE. That cop latching on to you that would of drove me crazy, and I know I wouldn't have been able to be that civil towards him but THAT'S WHAT MAKES YOU GREAT AT WHAT YOU DO!! I wanted you to curse out that security guard so bad but he is just a bullying coward and I didn't know there is a such thing as a bully being a coward but I just found my first one and he's a big one and he really made that security company look extremely bad and them for that cop to lie about how many calls he got these cops do nothing but lie and they thing citizens are going to or should respect them when damn near every word they say is a lie. It's linge you find the good in everything something I wish every human could do that would definitely make the world a better place. KEEP UP THE AMAZING JOB . Is this still going on or has it come to a conclusion?
Oh WOW!! I was looking for this!!! Can’t wait to watch!!
"Therein lies the problem" he says, thus admitting that his "escorting" is to intimidate you in retaliation for daring to file in support of your rights.
Pretty sure he said there in lies the problem because he said the departments current stance is no comment on the matter, which makes sense if they are being sued. Seems legitimate that a lawyer for the city would also recommend them not to comment. Is it a good choice? No. The city should put out a public statement on the matter, and to expect the Sargent to be the one to do so wouldn’t make sense.
good ear. audit the audits ;)
Embellish much? The officer was there protecting his rights and helping him to avoid any problems. Before he was roaming stairwells and encountering people who disagreed with his right to lie at the checkpoint and record. This time he had no issues because he followed the rules and even had an officer to make sure his rights were protected. Is it intimidating for you when officers protect rights the way “auditors” frequently cry out for?
@@Ultramiles206 but the officer stand for justice and the law so he should speak up
I get that impression too! And 🎥 the camera still is a better protector of your rights than the sarge who curiously ran low on being Mr. Helpful upon arrival at internal affairs office 🏢😀funny how that works isn't it!
More auditors need to do these follow ups.
No follow up = no accountability
Lol. The solitaire remark really got me.😂
It’s not lack of knowledge, They admitted that they knew you had the right to record. They just don’t give a Fyuck and believe that they can violate anyone’s rights because they are police
Brian was shaking like a leaf on a tree when he handed you your copy of the intent to sue. Lol priceless
I know their phone lines were burning up the day of the trespass as the guy answering my call was pissed to the max. Mayors office was not picking up so i'm sure their lines were clogged as well. Keep on keeping on LIA.
Go get em Sean i was really looking forward to this all these people are big overreaching servants of the public what a bunch of bootlicking tyrants. I love you're calm in the face of tyranny thank you Sean.
My deal is like what if I was riding my bike all day filming my adventure and my last stop on my awesome day I had to stop at a post office and the employees treated me like they treated you. No one should give a shit about what someone else is doing unless they are making threats, or causing problems. Keep up the good work brother
When he says he doesn't make the law he just enforces it. What he's saying is he doesn't draft tyranny. He just takes it from paper and manifests it into actual reality.
You need to do a daily quote. Those are spot on.
The laws are not tyrannical. The constitution is the opposite of tyranny. The problem is law enforcement not acting to uphold the laws, instead acting to violate some people’s rights to protect other people’s feelings. There was no law compelling this Sarge to follow Sean around all day. He did this OUTSIDE of the law only because one guy was “uncomfortable.” The real danger is that so many cops think it’s their job to make some people feel safe, that they can’t distinguish laws from feelings, and are willing to violate rights to do it. They just assume that whatever they feel must be backed by some law somewhere. That’s why so many encounters begin with “You can’t film me.”
Nuremberg defense.
@@russelld2925 The problem is cops don't understand their job is to protect the cameraman from those who feel uncomfortable. Cops do not understand the notion of "constitutional protection," much less how to apply it. The cop should've advised the security to advise the personnel that any attempt to impede this man or his camera will result in a citation or an arrest. Then the cop should've bounced.
@@goonamana7462 That’s pretty much exactly what I said. The laws as written protect the cameraman against people who are afraid of them. But the cops rarely act as if that’s the case. And when they do they have a bad attitude as if they lost some pissing contest. The correct response is to tell the people concerned that taking pictures is perfectly legal and that it is a crime to abuse 911. To me it’s no different then calling the police and saying that you are a frayed of dogs and your neighbor has a dog and you want them to come take it away. Or to call the police and say that a black person is walking next to you at the mall and you’re nervous and you want the police to come and arrest him. If anybody called the police for those reasons there’s no way to dispatcher would send out an officer. Call when it’s a man with a camera they do it every time. And then say they have to respond because they got a call. There’s nothing in the law that says that police are supposed to figure out what you’re doing or figure out who you are. That’s the police acting outside of the law. The law is our friends. The law protects us. We just need the police to know what law is
