The video with the guy changing a tire is unreal. Even if they down grade the charges, he will spend 25k for a decent attorney. I got pulled from my vehicle and charged with a DUI in Neptune, NJ after I blew 0 alcohol. The tyrant put me through an impossible roadside test that no one could pass. TRUST, these things happen all the time !!

So how does she have reasonable suspicion that he was driving without a license ? he was not driving when the confrontation happened. Someone else could have been driving the car and left to get a tire.
Courts allow LE to rifle through your papers by way of access to state license and registration information during ‘investigation’. The vehicle registration is because it’s a potentially injurious device on a public roadway. That LE then decides to look up the license information of the vehicle owner is what’s wrong. They weren’t pursuing any particular violation, they were fishing. They have no business poking around in people’s private papers (drivers license). They would have needed strong reason to believe he planned on driving the car away, even if they had authority to access his license information. Otherwise they’d have to allow that someone else could be the driver.
I agree. His wife could have dropped him off to fix the tire & his child who was driving the car could have gone back home. So any ask of a license was unwarranted! I really hope all these charges were dropped. This man did nothing wrong.

👍👍👍👍It would be nice if the NEWS Station commented on what the 1st and 4th Amendment Rights are and that you were perfectly within your rights to test the limits and document the exercise of those rights, in Pool Hall City. I used to be on some city commissions and we routinely got the city attorney's advice to not worry about what we did as the CITY has more money to litigate than any citizen. NEVER EVER did he advise what was legal or illegal.

When cops behave like tyrants, the way this sargeant and CHIEF BROWN did, immunity from prosecution should be cancelled.
“The city of Pooler did nothing wrong.” So therefore the pooler police officers did absolutely everything right and by the book according to the City Attorney who must be very proud of their interaction with Sean, just as the City Attorney must be very proud of how the Pooler police dept dealt with a 74 year man who was legally changing his car tyre and was charged with various bogus crimes (what a vile Attorney and Police dept).
This is why the internal investigations never go anywhere.
We elect these people who have contempt for the public that pays their salaries. We deserve it. Vote these public officials out of office. No more corporate shills, no more gestapo law enforcement officers no more vote them all out!
When a city attorney claims that the city did nothing wrong, that means that the lawsuit will result in a bigger judgment. A judge says that a large settlement is necessary in order to get the city's attention enough to make changes.

@@tadah21 you're solution is simply to "vote better"? If that was the solution, then these things would have never gotten this bad. Your idea doesn't work. The REAL solution is to implement more laws CONSTRAINING government power. Bad and incompetent people will always come to power, the key is to minimize their damage as much as possible by constraining their power and their expense, aka how much it cost us to maintain the bureaucracy. If the founders thought that all the people needed to do was "vote the right people into power" for everything to be okay, then they would never bothered to write the Bill of Rights, which constrains government power in order to minimize the damage of bad people coming to power.

It always shocks me when people behave unprofessionally because of a camera then blame the man with the camera. Do they not know there are cameras all over the place? They just believe they can bully an individual for doing something they do not like.
In 2000 I was so disgusted with mainstream media that I quit listening to it totally. No TV or radio. I get all my info from UA-cam and it works fine for me. I myself suffer from a TBI from being injured overseas and mentioned that to the Army Reserves and asked if they could assist me on filling out and explaining some paperwork for me because of my disability “. Not only did they not assist me and tell me “we play by big boy rules here” but also threatened to have me arrested for trespassing when they were the ones that told me to come in not 2 hours later. When I filed a report to Inspector General for discrimination for my disability, even the Inspector General didn’t do anything with my case and wouldn’t take my 9 page report seriously. Corruption has GOT to stop Sean, it’s true. It’s got to stop. I’m a 6 year veteran and it’s bad Sean… it’s truly bad.

The old man could have said, someone brought him there to change his granddaughter's flat tire ..and she left to come back. They had no proof he was actually driving.

Because he didn't want to go through all that b.s. knowing he would just have to play the 'I wasn't driving' card. I believe he knew she couldn't legally do anything, and was just understandably like 'I am old, I am having a horrible day, if you aren't going to help then just leave me alone'. a.k.a "Don't even start with me right now". You can see bias in the reporters story. Bias despite the fact that as a ‘recognized’ reporter, he still couldn’t get an interview with the chief, instead getting a letter from the towns attorney.
Isn’t that an indicator that the chief disagrees with Freedom of the Press? Or worse, that the chief has a problem with the 1st Amendment?

Please find out more information on Jack Shaw and his case. Why in the world and how in the world did they know his license was suspended by the tag and why did she run the tag in the 1st place? Wasn't she there to "help" him? Why did she need his ID to help him change his tire? This is just another unfortunate example of how some cops are on power trips!
It was the Pooler police department debacle that convinced me to become a financial supporter of Long Island Audits.
I for one happen to think our Civil rights are a very big deal! I agree that some auditors do more harm then good but Long Island Audit is one of the best I’ve seen. He doesn’t provoke or bully, he’s always respectful, knowledgeable of his rights, attempts to have calm, rational discussions with Government Employees in order to educate.

This is the kind of cops we have to put up with in this country. It breaks my heart the way they threw that old man to the grown. First of all she had no right running his tag, he had not committed a crime. Maybe they carry a air compressor in their vehicles for when they have a flat tire. I am a 73 year old lady and all I have is a tire iron. If I have a flat in the side of the road I’ll make sure to tell the cops that I don’t need their help. Triple A will be on their way. If they stop and start asking questions I’ll set in my car and won’t answer any of their questions while I’m video recording them.
They probably won't let you wait for triple A these guys will call there kick back buddy tow truck driver leave you on the side of the road and tell you its all for your safety

It should be illegal to run plates without cause.
Cops in my old town would follow you and run your plate for no reason other than driving through town late at night. They do not make you feel like they are serving and protecting you. They just make you feel scared even when you know you aren't breaking any laws.
I would respect a law like that. This cop went about the process completely wrong. she should have helped him with the tire and then told him what was up. its gross how it went down.

It's truly scary how much power the police have amassed among themselves. Sheriff deputies too. They have a huge apparatus of powerful folk to shield them and protect them in their wrong doing and they are going further and further in their harassment of ordinary citizens. One would think, that with EVERYTHING going on in our country, people would not only appreciate these audits (although I'd like to see more 2nd, 4th, etc audits), but independently stand up for OUR rights on a daily basis. We need the police, but the police need to remember their oaths and that they are NOT a Supreme authority. They get their power from everytime someone allows them to take ours.

What is particularly shameful; Pooler GA is where the 8th. Air Force museum is, including a chapel. The local police dept. is obscenely corrupt. Especially demeaning to those who sacrificed so much to have such tyranny in the hometown of a museum dedicated to those 8th Air force veterans sacrifices by these police officers who have shown so little respect for the Constitution those veterans paid with their lives to defend.
