My top ten: 10. Powder Keg 9. Batman the Ride 8. American Thunder 7. Wildfire 6. Patriot 5. Prowler 4. Mr. Freeze Reverse Blast 3. The Boss 2. Time Traveler 1. Outlaw Run
Screaming eagle coming off the mid course turnaround at night is the best airtime! Night rides are the best. I’d take American Thunder as the best in the park, then freeze and eagle, but this is a great list. Also still prefer time traveler over Outlaw Run, but both are in my top 10 of all coasters I’ve ridden. Hitting worlds of fun this year a few times so excited to try those coasters!
YES! I am so glad you commented about the drop after the turnaround. It has this weird sensation that the coaster skips off the track a bit. Thanks for the comment!
I’ll never forget riding screaming eagle with my dad right before close when I was a pre-teen the lady in front of us said she felt like she was gonna lose her implants lol
Home state as well, my home park is SDC! While I disagree with some of your rankings, I can understand where you're coming from, and I must say Missouri is one of the best states for wooden coasters. My top 10 10. Powder Keg 9. Screamin' Eagle 8. Patriot 7. Mr. Freeze: Reverse Blast 6. Wildfire 5. American Thunder 4. Prowler 3. Time Traveler 2. Mamba 1. Outlaw Run
I have never agreed to a coaster list so much! I’ve been to all 3 parks and I literally have almost the same list. I also agree with the Boss placement 100% it has the best night ride I’ve ever experienced
I moved away from Missouri and still miss my favorite, which missed your list "Wildfire" The lines were so short on Sundays and could just hop off, walk around and hop on again for a great amazing ride
I personally am not a huge fan of Boss due to the roughness, but it's got some great moments and it has gotten much better than it was the first time I rode it several years ago. Certainly hard to argue with any of these though. I visited all 3 parks this year and the biggest surprise for me was prowler at night. Wow. I didn't get a chance for any night rides at the other 2 parks, but outlaw run was out of control fast during the day, so I can only imagine.
That midcourse break on Boss just kills me. That thing fully stops! Then with the removal of the double helix finally has soured me on Boss. I love its first half also but with all the issues it is my least favorite of the wooden’s at SF STL.
Loved this list and video. Only been to SDC in MO but I'd personally definitely put Wildfire instead of a batman clone. It's a unique layout and maybe the most beautifully located coaster I've ever seen
Really enjoyed this list! ☺️ Outlaw Run and Time Traveler are both in my top 8. I think Screamin Eagle has the most floater airtime I’ve experienced on a coaster and it’s just such a fun coaster. Mr. Freeze is still amazing, and I was surprised by how good Wildfire and Powder Keg were!
I agree with most of this list . six flags st louis being my home park . I have rode screaming eagle over 100 times . my list is slightly different as I have only rode 23 out of the 28 coasters in Missouri
Fun fact: Missouri is the only state with at least one park from each of the big three! It is also the only state with both a Cedar Fair and Herschend park (Georgia is the only state outside of Missouri to have both a Herschend and SF park)
I’ve only been to six flags at Louis but mr freeze is my favorite coaster at the park. 1: Mr Freeze 2: The Boss 3: American Thunder 4: Screamin Eagle 5: Batman the ride 6: Pandemonium 7: River King 8: Ninja. Boomerang was closed due to an accident
My favorite roller coaster is Time Traveler 😊 OLR I like it but the restraints are slightly uncomfortable so it just makes Time Traveler just that much better, but that's just my opinion though 😊
If I save enough money to go on a midwestern coaster trip next year, I wasn’t planning on spending the whole day at St. Louis to minimize hotel stays, but those two wooden night rides sound too good to pass up.
Ya if you can you have to stay at night for all three parks. Outlaw Run, Boss, Prowler, Screamin Eagle provide fantastic night rides. Screamin Eagle day vs night is a huge difference. I feel like many UA-camrs don’t stay for evening rides at SFSTL (which I completely understand because it’s usually in the middle of a giant road trip) but they truly miss some fantastic experiences.
I’ll never forget riding screaming eagle with my dad right before close when I was a pre-teen the lady in front of us said she felt like she was gonna lose her implants lol
I wish I could visit all three of these parks in one visit to Missouri. I probably could but the only problem I've heard is that Worlds of Fun and Six Flags St. Louis are three hours from each other and Silver Dollar City is also three hours from both locations. How is that even possible considering its right in the middle of the state.
That is correct it’s like one gigantic triangle. I am actually going to try and do all three park in three days this summer and do a video giving my tips on lowering expenses on the “Missouri Trifecta” road trip.
Wildfire for me has to replace Mr freeze, it’s a smoother ride and the front row on wildfire is just amazing. You can’t go wrong with a boliger and mabilard steel looping. PS. If you want a truly insane ride go outlaw run front row in the rain. It feels like bullets on your face.
That is awesome! Now I'm curious what your rankings would be! My opinions on Prowler have drastically changed after I got a night ride last year. Pacing was insane! Personally, I still like the Boss, Time Traveler & Outlaw Run better.
Haha this is a good time to take a break and just regroup. Well hopefully this virus can dissipate so we can get back to normal life and also get some theme parks!
Dexter Frebish's Electric Roller Ride I don’t know if this applies to any other state, but from what I know of, schools don’t count absences from school due to the coronavirus. At least in Massachusetts. So if your school shuts down for a few weeks, you don’t have to do any make up work when you come back. However, they ain’t gonna let you off that easily. We still have to do online assignments. 🙄
Destination Thrills so has mine, but I think we’ll do like some online stuff or something, what is real poopoo is I was going to St. Louis for the two credits I didn’t have
And extremely uncomfortable. Don't have broad hips or shoulders or you will be sorry. Wished RMC would redesign their trains. They already did it once with the (used to be painful) shin bars.
Outlaw run blew my mind first time!
I thought I was like the only coaster enthusiast here in Missouri!
Samme!
@@RadicalCapitol same
Same
Still think they should have named Outlaw Run- Ozark Outlaw
Agreed it fits better.
As a Missouri Coaster Enthusiast Myself, these rankings are pretty solid. I cannot agree more with Outlaw Run being at #1.
Why
@@CarlileCoastersbecause it's better than time traveler

I grew up near Missouri, here's my top 10:
10. Batman/Mr. Freeze, SFSL (intense clones)
9. Patriot, WOF (graceful and unique layout)
8. Mamba, WOF (largest drop + intense helix)
7. The Boss, SFSL (unique pacing + intimidating)
6. Wildfire, SDC (great view + consistent)
5. American Thunder, SFSL (headchops)
4. Powder Keg, SDC (launch + pays homage to Buzz Saw Falls)
3. Prowler, WOF (great speed + airtime)
2. Time Traveler, SDC (steepest drop + controlled spin)
1. Outlaw Run, SDC (insane drop + most intense pacing)
Worlds of Fun is in my hometown, but that didnt stop us from going to Silver Dollar City every summer!

That’s awesome! If SFSTL could do some more retracking and get new trains, Boss would be more popular!
saying outlaw run is only 107 feet tall, is like saying orion is only 297 feet tall. outlaw run's first drop is 162 feet into the terrain below
Yeah i knew the 107 ft hieght an the 68mpg speed didnt match. 107 ft drop would only get ya 50,55mph top speed. Thank you for clarifying that

I am okay with everything but Screaming Eagle. I would definitely say Patriot is a better ride!
LETS GO SILVER DOLLAR CITYYYY I practically live there lol
It is my favorite park
Omg same I go like 5 times a year
Missouri has 3 major parks.....
And Illinois has one
I would hardly call sfsl a major park. People come to KC to WOF all the time.
Kansas has 0
@@DRxLL dang
@@beardedswordsman2901wof seriously just copies off of six flags STL. The mamba is the first original ride they've had.
I can confirm as a Missourian that silver dollar city is a great place. Considering that it’s it a city of entertainment
Opinion: American Thunder is 2nd my fave woodie in Missouri, 1 is Outlaw Run
Alexander Axais American thunder’s airtime is just amazing
Alexander Axais hell yeah!
That midcourse break on Boss just kills me. That thing fully stops! Then with the removal of the double helix finally has soured me on Boss. I love its first half also but with all the issues it is my least favorite of the wooden’s at SF STL.
the midcourse totally kills the boss right now .
Jared Lucas it used to hardly stop. I kinda miss when it wasn’t as slow, but then again, that double helix was painful.

I love Wildfire, but Batman is a classic. If I have to ride only one ride at six flags STL, it will be Batman.

@EliCOG well I havent been to worlds of fun in 20 years so alot there and time traveler and one coaster that's in lake of the ozarks
Do the top 10 in New York
No Wildfire or Patriot?
For me the top two in no particular order are Time Traveler and American Thunder.
Rmc Boss will be #1! If they convert it, it will be worth the dive from Dallas!
Fun fact: Missouri is the only state with at least one park from each of the big three! It is also the only state with both a Cedar Fair and Herschend park (Georgia is the only state outside of Missouri to have both a Herschend and SF park)

I have been to worlds of fun and I went on Mamba at least 4 times it's a lot of fun but I like the Patriot better than Mamba
The mamba is my favorite ride in missouri. Its been awhile since ive been to six flags st louis and silver dollar city
The original Boss kicked Azz, they neutered it, it use to be for hardcore enthusiast
Coasters i have been on
Mamba: worlds of fun
Time travler:sdc
Wild fire:sdc
Powder keg:sdc
(I do not recommend mamba lol)
(My favorite is power keg)

silver dollar city is not right in the middle of the state its only 30 minutes from arkansas
Mr. Freeze should be top 3. Wildfire is a great ride, though.
Mamba is trimless now, easily a top 50 coaster now
I was in charge of the Prowler for a little while :) (In my opinion, it should be number 1)
That is awesome! Now I'm curious what your rankings would be!
My opinions on Prowler have drastically changed after I got a night ride last year. Pacing was insane! Personally, I still like the Boss, Time Traveler & Outlaw Run better.
HA I knew Outlaw run would be number 1 haha
My grandpa worked on screaming eagle back in the day
My school has just been cancelled for two weeks thanks to the coronavirus. I don’t know if I should be happy or concerned

@Dexter Frebish's Electric Roller Ride it depends. Our school got cancelled but since we are in a state of emergency we don't have to make anything up
Destination Thrills so has mine, but I think we’ll do like some online stuff or something, what is real poopoo is I was going to St. Louis for the two credits I didn’t have
I loved Outlaw Run but it was very jerky and needed the bars over the shoulders
I know that this is a 2020 list but the best ride that was at WOF was orient express. Cousin of the late vortex.
1. Outlaw Run
2. Boss
3. Mamba
the first time i rode the prowler it was at night so i had no idea what i was in for. i think #4 is pretty accurate
Night rides are amazing!
Silver Dollar City has something even more intense planned to come out in a few years. 🤫🤐
Hyper/Wing Coaster?
I should beg my friends Togo there with me I live so close to those parks
I really enjoyed prowler, front seat was terrible tho
😍👍
Where’s boomerang?!?!?
1 is mamba 9 for mamba
Well I'm not a wooden coaster lover by any means. All of them give me a massive headache even the beloved RMC ones.
lmao boss is horrible
I live in a state thats best coaster is a BOOMERANG!
I don’t really like outlaw run (Way too short and rough), but time traveler is one of my favorites of all time!
My profile pic says it all.
Wildfire should be on there! Screaming EAGLE! trash spot! Boss no should be 10 at highest. My home park is SDC
I hate Outlaw Run. It was sooo rough
it must have been a really cold day when u rode it then
Show Me Coasters it was the middle of July. It was soooo hot. However, this ride wasn’t too hot
And extremely uncomfortable. Don't have broad hips or shoulders or you will be sorry. Wished RMC would redesign their trains. They already did it once with the (used to be painful) shin bars.
the boss is so bad ugh

if you want to inprove this park snatch the damn ninja down...Please!!
