You need to revisit WOF this year. Mamba got a new operation system and they don't slow you down before the bunny hills anymore and you get some serious airtime now.
Ride mamba in the back and it’s easily the best ride in the park! I go here almost every year and now that I ride it in the back it’s awesome! Also patriot is super underrated

That’s good to hear. Wof is my home park. I’m wanting to get back into roller coasters but I hate the steep hills because of the stomach in your throat feeling. I’ve been trying to figure out if timber wolf or prowler would be better for me to try.
@@michellethomassen9685 id say the prowler is def better. the timberwolf is pretty rough even after the work done on it andits way more open. makes it easier to see how high up you are. since the prowler is mostly in the woods if you look down it doesnt really feel like youre a hundred feet in the air lol
Went for the first time last year (may 2019) since I was a kid in the days when timber Wolf was new and boasting 2nd biggest wooden coaster in the world and orient express was the parks signature coaster. Looks like I need to go back for my 50th to try all the new rides! Thanks for sharing.
Prowler is my favorite at the park! A few years ago, I somehow managed to get to ride it by myself, which was such an interesting experience. But night rides are so much fun on this one
Timber Wolf use to be my favorite, night rides were the coolest of course but the first 180 deg portion of its original helix was forceful as hell, and that's honestly what I loved about it. That being said, Prowler's my new favorite. Mamba ran faster trims when it first debuted, but I think they got tired of replacing wheels all of the time and slowed it down.
The spinning dragons and the boomerang were my first rollercoasters ever. I loved em, fast forward like 2 years later I finally got to ride every single coaster at my home park, something I’d refused to do for years and thought I’d never enjoy 😁
I remember being 10 years old when Timber Wolf was just built and I cried before going on. My dad said it’s the #2 coaster in the world. I loved it back in the day.
Hey this is my home park, love to see it! Timberwolf is absolutely underrated. I haven't been on it since the retracking, but the night rides especailly are VICIOUS in the best possible way for wooden coaster fans. Patriot is definitely a treat, and 100% agree that Prowler is the best ride at the park. Hopefully we get some new coasters sometime over the next couple years, I know that the KC area would love it!
Its a Vekoma which is the same at so many other parks. The ride is so rough. It is better at causing headaches instead of being fun. It's time in the park is hopefully limited as so many like it are now extinct. With that space maybe put idk a drop coaster in that space and bring back some elements of the Zambezi Zinger. This is where I was hoping the Wicked Twister from CP would go but I did not get my wish. It would have been great for this park.
the patriot was my first ever roller coaster. i was always scared of roller coasters but i was in a group of friends and didn't want to be left out. LOVED it! did the dragon, prowler (the month it opened) and mamba as well but the patriot was easily the best! i dunno if it was the mere fact i was strapped in by the shoulders on the patriot and felt more secure or if it was just that much better of a coaster lol
They need to remove the boomerang. Add a indoor ride or a new roller coaster. I think it would be awesome if they changed the train for the Mamba, more open air. Spinning dragons is quite boring and it was not an adequate replacement for Oriental Express. The track on Timberwolve needed to be badly replaced and they added a little extra high bend in the end. Give it a few more years.
Spinning Retards(what i call it) is NOT i say NOT a replacement for the Orient Express! if you know where the express used to be that land is STILL vacant, you can even still see some of the concrete footers for the Orient Express! TOE was my favorite coaster at WOF, followed by the Zambi Zinger!
Timberwolf was insane. First time I went in it I had a broken wrist and I felt like I was gonna pass out. Prowler was my first adult coaster when I was 9 with a broken wrist and I was in front seat. That trip was so insane. And I loved that one water ride. Timberwolf was also my second ever adult ride. When I was 9. I love bumpy rides

Perhaps start in St. Louis to not only see the city but also visit Six Flags St. Louis then drive across the state to Kansas City to visit World's of Fun and stay at Great Wolf Lodge. Then finally on the way back to St. Louis stop in Branson for Silver Dollar City and White Water Branson. I'd also want to head to Branson on a separate trip because I think my dad would love Silver Dollar City and the nearby Big Cedar Lodge (which would be my first decision for where to stay) but I'am not sure he'd have an interest in St. Louis or Kansas City.
Since I don't know where you're coming from, I have no way of knowing which Missouri city is closest to you. The drive between Kansas City and Branson can be hell. If you were flying to Missouri, I'd say fly into Springfield or Branson, rent a car.... do Branson then drive to St. Louis.....then drive to Kansas City... then fly home. Or the other way around. Boomerang at WoF is way smoother than the one at St Louis. I’ve ridden both multiple times and the one at WoF is way better. Spinning Dragons is a better coaster for me at least since I think it just has better scenery and I’ve ridden it more so I might be a little biased. I’ve ridden Timberwolf more times than I can count (it’s so easy to marathon it) but I haven’t rode it since June of 2018 so I really only got to experience it before the retracking but I loved it. Mamba is a pretty solid hyper and I love night rides on it. Patriot is way better than the Batman clones just because I like long rides and Batman is just too short for me. Prowler is a great out and back coaster and the night rides on it are amazing (even if the only night ride I rode was during WinterFest when I wasn’t running as fast and it was absolutely freezing) and it’s probably my 2nd favorite night ride (behind Screaming Eagle) but I haven’t had very many night rides but the one on Prowler is amazing.
@@nigelwatson9114 if you have NEVER been to Missouri you are missing out of the best place to live in the WORLD! just don't count Kansas City and St Louis as part of Missouri and you are fine!
I’ve never ridden a boomerang or an slc! I’m surprised since i’ve been to 4 different parks. just so happens that none of them have those rides! Though invertigo at KI might be my first boomerang
Me too! I've got 67 credits a none are boomerangs or slcs. Although I'm not too far from that new Lost Island park in Iowa and that'll have an slc (hopefully with new trains.)
Me and my friend went a month ago, and we rode Timberwolf and Spinning Dragons, but then literally EVERYRHING shut down due to weather chances. I was super excited because this is my first year finally breaking out of my roller coaster phobia, and I didn’t get to ride Prowler. 😭
This was the first theme/amusement park I went too and is still the only one I've visited because it's in my home town and The first coaster I ever rode was the mamba when i was bout 6 so about 11 years ago or so The last time I was there was 4 years later and those are the only 2 times i've been there it's super fun and is what I would say counts as One of the most Family friendly yet adrenalin pumping parks that are never really in the spot light
Great video! Hard to rank the top 4, miles above the other 3. My rank: 7 Spinning Dragons 6 Cosmic Coaster 5 Boomerang 4 TimberWolf 3 Patriot 2 Mamba 1 Prowler
I'd agree with those rankings with the exception of Timberwolf. We can only ride it once per trip because of how rough it is. All the others we'll ride as many times as we can while we're there. Me and my best friend go every year.
It is a flatride and what a ride it is though. The fact that it is a dark ride is perfect for that ride. What a genius idea replacing it with the Wobble Wheel. I make sure to ride it every time I go.
"Pretty rough" to say the least. I went a couple years back on a school trip and I gave the girl next to me a severe concussion on one of the sharp turns of the prowler
a vekoma boomerang was my very first "big" rollercoaster ever at my local park and at the time I thought it was the best thing ever. now having been on hundreds of different coasters i have realized boomerang is the literal definition of "eh." visiting worlds for the first time this upcoming weekend and I will probably skip it.
I have been there. But I was pretty young. I am going to guess it was the mid 90’s. At the time I think they only had three coasters. Timber Wolf being the only one still there. I remember liking it but I thought Screaming Eagle was way better. Mamba really does look awesome. But from the video it just looks like it is limping into the final moments. Bad design to let your finally be a fizzling out. If they could rework it a little to fix the second half I think it could be the crown jewel. Thanks for this excellent upload! This really makes me want to make the KC trip and get to this park soon!
I ride Timberwolf at night with only my sister and me and the coaster at one point I thought was going to get stuck on the track lmao. It was moving at maybe 3mph but once it caught the next hill it regained all the speed but it was very sketch lmao
Is patriot a good first upside down ride? I get really nervous before rollercoasters but it's slowly getting better. I want to try something other than the non-inverting ones, but nothing too scary/huge.
The last time I went here was I think was 2005 and 2006 or 2007 The Patriot had just come out and was amazing I rode timberwolf and all of the other coasters except for Mamba that first time the second time I rode all of them including mamba and also did oceans of fun that day too in that trip on the way back we went to Adventureland or something I can't remember it's in Des Moines I think I just remember they had that floor drop ride that was so awesome much better than other ones instead of laying in this machine that spins you around on angles you're literally standing on a floor in a tube and out of nowhere the floor just literally falls away out of nowhere scares the living crap out of you because the holes like 20 ft deep and there's nothing strapping you to the walls there's nothing holding you on and then at the end of the ride the wall gets put back up it's pretty crazy you literally have nothing but two handles that your hands are hanging on to that's it and you don't even have to hang on to them I don't know if that's still around obviously probably not with today's safety regulations and everyone being a snowflake sjw beta soy boy gluten free baby😂🤣😂....but still it was amazing and if it is still there it is a MUST Besides that the 1st roller coaster I ever did was silver Dollar City it was the one that you go by like a shark or something and it splashes water on you I think I can't remember 100% anyways I was only a child when I went on that and I was so scared afterwards that not only was I terrified of sharks but I didn't want to go on a roller coaster for like 7 years I honestly hated most theme parks I wouldn't even let my adoptive parents walk me near roller coasters because I was afraid they would take me on them My adoptive siblings were dicks and I was always afraid that they were going to take me on them they were a lot older than me when I mean a lot I mean like 12 years so they had seniority as well as I had to listen to them so they told me we're going on this I couldn't say no which sucked and made me afraid of half the crap that they did to me luckily I outgrew most of it except for spiders my brother tied me to a chair when he was supposed to be babysitting me instead of letting me play around he tried me to a chair while he watched not only Jumanji which really wasn't a big thing except for the big spiders but Arachnophobia right after it cuz they played one after another on the TV and Arachnophobia scared me so bad I had a horrible nightmare that spiders killed my whole family and my brother was controlling them and he then killed me and spiders were eating my family's body by the way this is five years old that I'm having this dream like it was awful so obviously that's really the only fear I've never outgrown
The first coster I ever went on was at worlds of fun when I was 10. The only thing I didn’t like about it was the line! It was the spinning dragons ride.
I miss the Zambezi Zinger, Screamroller and of course The Orient Express!!!!! Oh and can’t forget the Shishkaboomer! Yes, I’m old school. WOF is so clean and so beautiful!!!
Went to WOF today for only the third time (despite it being my hometown park), and I gotta say, patriot was WAY more fun than I remember it being. Rode it 4 times and mamba disappointed me being my first time riding it, (First time I went I was too scared and the second time it was down).
I live in KC and I haven’t been to the park since early high school… how did I miss that they re-worked Timber Wolf!? I LOVED it when I was a kid but as a teenager 🤢
Thoughts on rmc timber wolf? I live in kc and to be honestly 9 times out of 10 it's either closed or has a shorter line than boomerang while running 1 train.
I work there and I totally agree with your list! Sorry you haven't been able to ride spinning dragons (one of my favs), since each car only sits four, the line is always long. Every time I've operated spinning dragons I've been shocked by how packed the line gets. Next time you're there head by voyager, we might not be a coaster, but my crew is pretty fun!
Hey man I will be going to worlds of fun this coming Saturday. I heard the patriot has some "big boy" seats. are they noticeably bigger than the rest? Just wondering as I have a pretty bulky chest/shoulder area
I haven’t been to WOF since 2002, but Timberwolf from what I remember(I was 13) is one of the better wooden rides I’ve ridden. I’d say Beast at Kings Island and American Eagle at SFGA are both better though.
When WoF announced that Prowler was coming to the park, I was so excited......then it opened and I drove 4 hours to get there for a three day weekend. When I got in the seat and the lap bar was pushed into the back of my spine.....I knew hell was about to reign down upon me. And it did. Most trips since, I wouldn't ride Prowler at all. The last time I was there, I only did Prowler once because a child in the group I was with wanted to ride it and her mom refuses to ride most coasters.....mom just isn't a fan. LOL Patriot is great but is too short. HAHAHAHA Zambezi Zinger and Orient Express were great coasters, too bad Cedar Fair removed them. Timber Wolf is awesome from start to finish WITH the helix....which never should have been removed.....and it just needs a major track upgrade because that baby is showing her age. They should RMC Iron Horse it....no flippity floppity.....just pure track replacement.
Orient Express sadly had to be removed. That ride got so jerky and unsafe it became too much of a liability, but it is dearly missed. This is what I would do if I managed what goes in that park to put some spice and expansion to the Orient area. Take out the Bamboozler and put something similar to MaXair in its place. I would move the Patriot to another area in the park and add a few more elements to it without changing most of the existing track layout. Then put the new Orient Rides Again in its place with multi-launch. The park overall would benefit from an expansion. Btw I am 100% in agreement with your ranking. The Prowler imo is an underrated coaster. Riding it at night is a must!
I loved this video, well made and edited. However, and I don't know if this is possible, but you need to be louder. I had my headphones and phone on max volume and it was difficult to hear. Me too! I've got 67 credits a none are boomerangs or slcs. Although I'm not too far from that new Lost Island park in Iowa and that'll have an slc (hopefully with new trains.)
I was being rn and raised and grew up going here all the time the Halloween haunt in October is awesome asf
Also I remember the summer when Patriot opened!! 🥰🥰 agreed it is very smooth
The dragon one it took like an hour to get on the ride but it was worth it
I have never been to WOF ,but I'm most excited for Prowler bc I absolutly love GCI. It is my fav. manifacture!
Is it just me or is his voice really satisfying. I can listen to his videos for days lol
Great video! Hard to rank the top 4, miles above the other 3. My rank:
7 Spinning Dragons
6 Cosmic Coaster
5 Boomerang
4 TimberWolf
3 Patriot
2 Mamba
1 Prowler
Great video! 🎢🎢🎢
Thank you!!!
I’m early to the comments. 😁 keep the good vids up!!!
Thanks!!!
Yummy
I'd agree with those rankings with the exception of Timberwolf. We can only ride it once per trip because of how rough it is. All the others we'll ride as many times as we can while we're there. Me and my best friend go every year.
You forgot Cyclone sams!!!!! It’s Intense unique in a scare the hell out of any kid that rides it but it’s super fun and easy to go on
It is a flatride and what a ride it is though. The fact that it is a dark ride is perfect for that ride. What a genius idea replacing it with the Wobble Wheel. I make sure to ride it every time I go.
Prowler is a fave as i live a few hours away. I still call it Baby Mystic Timbers :D
You and so many others will do the same including myself with the exception of getting a credit.
It was moving at maybe 3mph but once it caught the next hill it regained all the speed but it was very sketch lmao
ppl be saying theres lines but i got on every coaster except boomerang in less than 4 hours 😭 huh..
The Boomerang was the first Roller Coaster I rode with an inversion
Whenever I ride these I anticipate my list looking very similar, maybe identical!
I that a Raptor would be a perfect addition to this park, and would definitely boost attendance.
Prowler definitely needs to warm up. Afternoon rides were miles better than morning rides
Ok airtime thrills talking about airtime hills
This is so coincidental because I was having my first visit at worlds of fun 2 days ago
That’s awesome! Did you enjoy it?
Tbh Prowler is underrated af. My sister and I love it, and the line isn’t even that long.
Omg I love the boomerang I have season passes till October
Is patriot a good first upside down ride? I get really nervous before rollercoasters but it's slowly getting better. I want to try something other than the non-inverting ones, but nothing too scary/huge.
The last time I went here was I think was 2005 and 2006 or 2007
The Patriot had just come out and was amazing I rode timberwolf and all of the other coasters except for Mamba that first time the second time I rode all of them including mamba and also did oceans of fun that day too in that trip on the way back we went to Adventureland or something I can't remember it's in Des Moines I think I just remember they had that floor drop ride that was so awesome much better than other ones instead of laying in this machine that spins you around on angles you're literally standing on a floor in a tube and out of nowhere the floor just literally falls away out of nowhere scares the living crap out of you because the holes like 20 ft deep and there's nothing strapping you to the walls there's nothing holding you on and then at the end of the ride the wall gets put back up it's pretty crazy you literally have nothing but two handles that your hands are hanging on to that's it and you don't even have to hang on to them I don't know if that's still around obviously probably not with today's safety regulations and everyone being a snowflake sjw beta soy boy gluten free baby😂🤣😂....but still it was amazing and if it is still there it is a MUST
Besides that the 1st roller coaster I ever did was silver Dollar City it was the one that you go by like a shark or something and it splashes water on you I think I can't remember 100% anyways I was only a child when I went on that and I was so scared afterwards that not only was I terrified of sharks but I didn't want to go on a roller coaster for like 7 years I honestly hated most theme parks I wouldn't even let my adoptive parents walk me near roller coasters because I was afraid they would take me on them
My adoptive siblings were dicks and I was always afraid that they were going to take me on them they were a lot older than me when I mean a lot I mean like 12 years so they had seniority as well as I had to listen to them so they told me we're going on this I couldn't say no which sucked and made me afraid of half the crap that they did to me luckily I outgrew most of it except for spiders my brother tied me to a chair when he was supposed to be babysitting me instead of letting me play around he tried me to a chair while he watched not only Jumanji which really wasn't a big thing except for the big spiders but Arachnophobia right after it cuz they played one after another on the TV and Arachnophobia scared me so bad I had a horrible nightmare that spiders killed my whole family and my brother was controlling them and he then killed me and spiders were eating my family's body by the way this is five years old that I'm having this dream like it was awful so obviously that's really the only fear I've never outgrown
The spinning dragons was my first coaster. (Edit: Wasn’t the timber wolf taken down?) (Edit #2: I LOVE THE PROWLER!!)
Went to WOF today for only the third time (despite it being my hometown park), and I gotta say, patriot was WAY more fun than I remember it being. Rode it 4 times and mamba disappointed me being my first time riding it, (First time I went I was too scared and the second time it was down).
I went to wof yesterday also lol
I live in KC and I haven’t been to the park since early high school… how did I miss that they re-worked Timber Wolf!? I LOVED it when I was a kid but as a teenager 🤢
My school has everyone that is going into 7th grade can go to worlds of fun and im so looking excited to it
About time for new coaster at Wof! 😫
Here’s another coaster duel idea. American Thunder Six Flags St. Louis vs Mystic Timbers Kings Island.
I thought about that or even AT vs Prowler
Yes! Or, here’s another one. Batman SFSL vs Banshee Kings Island.
i never rode mamba but i loved the timber wolf and prowler
Thoughts on rmc timber wolf? I live in kc and to be honestly 9 times out of 10 it's either closed or has a shorter line than boomerang while running 1 train.
The patriot i have not tried yet but the mamba and prowler are crazy and the boomerang just too much
I wish I could have gotten the chance to ride the Orient express before they tore it down 😒 was too young back then
perfect list, not a spot i would change
Thanks!
I would say this list is spot on. Boomerang would be higher on my list had it not ended my night early one visit by literally dislocating my shoulder
What about the Orient Express? The Zamibizi zinger! You know, the classics!
Nice list! Would you say this is a park that you need to spend the whole day in?
No, we stayed five hours, but what was with no lines and no kids and no food.
I miss the orient express. Rode it in the 90s was my favorite
They should get a Premier multi launch to recreate Orient Express
Timber Wolf is my #1 WOF coaster
I like timber wolf better than prowler as well, take this list, drop prowler to 4 and move patriot, mamba, and t-wolf all up a spot.
LOL
Patriot is great but is too short. HAHAHAHA
Zambezi Zinger and Orient Express were great coasters, too bad Cedar Fair removed them.
Riding it at night is a must!
mamba has little to no airtime
so i agree with you
I loved this video, well made and edited. However, and I don't know if this is possible, but you need to be louder. I had my headphones and phone on max volume and it was difficult to hear. I could still make out what you were saying, but with other noises around, it was kind of hard to hear. You make great content other than this!
Thank you!!! Hmm that is odd cause I have to turn it down on my phone because it blasts. If anyone else is having the same issue comment below.
I appreciate the feedback do you know if this happens on other videos of mine?
@@DestinationThrills Yeah, you're usually really quiet. On the last video I saw of yours (Cedar fair Vs Six Flags) I could barely hear it. It may just be my headphones, they're in pretty bad shape, but I recall listening to other videos of yours and they were quiet too.
Maybe it’s because the headphones. I use the noise canceling beats solo pro on transparency mode and I could hear fine.
Thank you for the info!! I’ll play around with it on my next upload see if it helps.
Was so bummed when we missed only 2 coasters in Missouri on our trip last week, both at Worlds of Fun.we are just missing boomerang and cosmic Coaster in Missouri now 😭😭
Man I live in Missouri and I’m missing more Missouri credits than you 😂😂
@@DestinationThrills yeah we specifically spent 4 days trying to hit everything so we don't have to go back for a while (at least to WOF and SFSL)
We did:
Sunday night: st Louis pizza Co
Monday: SFSL and Miner Mike's in Osage Beach (amazing kiddy powered coaster!!)
Tuesday: SDC and Branson coaster
Wednesday: Runaway Mountain and SDC
Thursday: WOF and the Python Pit at Powerplay in KC
Friday: adventureland
We would have tried to steal a kid to get the Cosmic Coaster, had Boomerang not been closed... Lol
@@DestinationThrills we live in Arizona though, so we really try to make the most of our times in other states and get all the credits we can haha 🤣🤣
The Boomerang may not ever reopen because maintenance cost is too high.
nice video
I am not one bit picky when it comes to that, I basically just enjoy them all!
The timberwolf was my favoriteee
I would put boomerang and spinning dragons above timber wolf because it is such a rough ride although this is mainly because prowler is in the same park
My list would be
1: Patriot
2: Prowler
3: Mamba
4: Spinning Dragons
5: Boomerang
6: Timber Wolf
Thanks for sharing your rankings!!!
I have rode the tomberwolf at night and it is very fun
On an invert is it an overbanked turn, or is it an underbanked?
🤔🤯
Which Morgan you feel is better even though they are pretty similar, Mamba or Steel Force???
I haven't been able to get to Dorney yet, but hopefully next year!!
I respect the rankings
my list:7. cosmic coaster 6. spinning dragons 5. boomerang 4. timber wolf 3. patriot 2. mamba 1. prowler
How many of these coasters have bars that come down on your shoulders? Thanks!
They have 2!
@@DestinationThrills Patriot I assume and what’s the other one? Thanks!
Going this weekend
I 100% agree with your list
