You need to add the turbo tu basé hondata map or not because the turbo ready calibrated have sent turbo an hondata ingetor
Yes, this requires a different base map. Also no heavy driving until it’s fully tuned

Question…. Hondata does not have the turbo name when setting up a new calibration
In that case pick a map with an upgraded turbo and do not hit boost

Just start it and let it idle while pressure builds. You can drop a few caps of oil in there but the pressure builds quick as long as oil filter isn’t dry as well.

did you reuse the turbo-downpipe gasket?
No, although I have in the past when just replacing downpipe.
@@BCautosolutions Thanks for the quick response! That gasket is the only thing I’m missing for my turbo swap so I was hoping that it could be reused
@@toonedhonda it’s metal so chances are it’ll be fine. As a rule of thumb it’s always good practice to replace but if it’s on back order or something I would go ahead and reuse.

@@BCautosolutions original K20. gonna use the intercooler and turbo from the FK8 since i'm upgrading to spoon turbo and hks intercooler
Is it necessary should to change ur oem piston and connectng rods ??
No you can use oem pistons and rods
Even tho you have over 500hp
The engine will not blow when u go over 500+
Why PRL hose on a Eventuri intake at the end?
Eventuri was removed and replaced with prl with added 3.5 housing at dyno that was final setup

The clear anwser would be the bigger one would make more power although I have not campares the prl vs Mitsubishi unfortunately

@@njpapy rs550 has larger hotside and ca. flow slightly more than p600
Both can go to 570whp on stock engine
Youll need ethanol or race gas to max them out tho

Although owner encouraged me to use his car for footage he wanted to maintain his privacy and his inlet pipe is numbered and would have been a dead giveaway.
Anyone know the difference with this one and the one with the +$500 Spoon Sports sticker on it?
I’d have to look it up but the wheels would most likely be the biggest difference

@@BCautosolutions they say to upgrade the clutch on the spoon kit. do the instructions for the non spoon upgrade say that too?
@@jakejake3166 I didn’t see any instructions but this particular setup was on stock clutch making close to 500 wheels with no slippage. That’s one thing Honda for right on these cars

Quick question do you need to upgrade any others parts if you install this turbo upgrade or not
Need to no, but I would highly recommend basic bolt ons to allow the turbo to flow as much as possible. And obviously need flashpro or something for engine managment

No but a Honda dealer should have no problem installing it
What is the average power output for these on a fbo with fuel system upgrade? ive seen up to 550hp but has anyone actually achieved that
Mid to high 400s pretty easily and reliable. As far as 550 I haven’t personally seen it on this turbo

U gotta drain the fluids for this swap?
Coolant for sure or you can clamp the hoses off with hose clamp pliers but still can get a little messy.
