Just like Tetris Attack, can't label it as a girls game because both Panel de Pon and Puyo Puyo contains female protagonists instead of the usual *"Video Games are for males only"* Cliche so no one would be interested if it wasn't localized without Robotnik/Kirby and Yoshi. Just be thankful that it happened or else both Puyo puyo and Puzzle League never left Japan.
I love how instead of just being a reskin, they went the extra mile to detail the game, give Kirby the translated lines of Arle Nadja,(The main protagonist of the Puyo Puyo series)and then voice the names of every enemy with a different type of stylish flare to it for a snes game. They did all this for a reskin of a Sega Genesis game that would come out on their 16-bit console that didn’t even have the blast processing the genesis had. They went beyond for avalanche.

I remember this addicting little puzzle game. Kirby has a very different attitude in this game than I would've pictured him having from other games.
He's mean to squishy, and Dedede's blobs are gordas/os(o- male for "fat". a- female for the same word)(that's brazilian portuguese, if anyone cares).
