Its not only great to listen to but its lovely to watch how, after all these years, they still seem to actually like and appreciate each other. Beautiful!!
OMG I'm in tears!! - the original line-up back together, and the ManTran that I fell in love with way back in '76/78 and whose music accompanied all my early years!!! 😍😍 There was no following that up, and I've struggled with their later stuff - but oh my, this rolls the boulder of time away and brings the past right up to the present! Oh but all the what-if's, the if-only's... yes they're all great, but the original line-up was unbeatable! *Thank you* for posting this precious, precious clip!! ❤❤❤
I'VE ALWAYS LOVED THEM!!! They bring back such beautiful memories of one of the many things my mother and I shared together. She so loved the Manhattan Transfer and that made me love them as well.
Laurel Masse and Cheryl Bentyne share the soprano spot on one of the very few occasions when Laurel returned to her old spot with the Manhattan Transfer. It's Laurel on the first two numbers, and Cheryl on the last of the three. The 2004 MAC Awards must have been the place to be that night.
@S2 Turbine That's a fair question but consider the thousands of singers who would love to sing in this group. There is also communication among musicians/singers. Back in the day (the fifties-seventies) I heard of a lot of bass players but never met them and they weren't known to the general public. There are a lot of outstanding musicians/singers that never become well known.
Momento inolvidable en el que el grupo original (72-78), se reencontró aunque fuera para interpretar sólo dos canciones, con geniales interpretaciones. Me quedé en el pasado y me quedo en la época de Laurel Massé.
Laurel here. We never collaborated in the ManhattanTransfer, but in the early 2000s we did, along with Janis, in a female jazz vocal trio called Moxie. It was a blast!

Laurel masse still has an amazing voice, along with the others as well 😍

It's so nice and great to see the golden line-up of Transfers together!
Amazing musical group. Their harmonies are beyond musical perfection. Thank God for the Manhatten Transfer.
Fantastici cantanti, meraviglioso gruppo vocale con una umanità infinita.
Lovely band great singing always in my heart, thank's, god love you...
Gorgeous rendition - love the respect they show Tim. RIP Tim.

A unique combination of singing and swinging talents, indeed. They always sounded great !!
Janis Siegel is such an adorable person...beautiful, sexy, gifted an' so talented... What a national treasure she was then, an' is to this day.
One of the best voices in the world.
Great vocal group! Variety, joy in what they do. Laurel sounds great and so goes Cheryl! Different which makes it special!

I like all the members of the group but still . . . there is something in Laurel's voice that gets my attention.
I like Laurel much better than Cheryl. I was sad when she left the group.

@@ronni7887 Laurel Masse did not voluntarily leave the group. As I know, she left the Transfers because she was in a car accident. God grant everyone good health! НА ЗДОРОВЬЕ! ©
simply great
Unbelievable
The lead singer in my quartet has a wife named Candy. I should get us to learn this song!
Это исполнение можно слушать бесконечно 👍👏🙏
Every song gets better!
Manhattan, oh Manhattan gracias por ayudarme a SOÑAR !!!
Great 👍

COOL!
Гениальный квартет. Второго не было и
Уже не будет. Увы люди уходят.
MT: original sound!!!
S py\tyCheryl & Laurel never collaborated. Two skilled sopranos working over this & other jazz material.
