I switched to Bowdens Own a few years back, brilliant products and tremendously named too! I never thought I'd watch a series on restoring a Magna but here we are, well done.
Fantastic to see another awesome aussie company supporting you. Massive bowdens fan myself after using meguiars for years. Happy new year Sean and look foward to upcoming videos.
Love it Sjaun. Don't sell youself short. Taking everything down and cleaning to that degree goes beyond most peoples rebuild. You ARE restoring back to NEW. I've never been a huge FWD fan but I'm really getting into this. LOVE Bowdens stuff as well, maybe cause I'm a sunny coast local and its always available and does an excellent job. The 'agent orange' as I call it, is a fave for human and other sticky oil cutting and removing. I swear by that stuff. Even sticky camping grime on camping equipment and shelters, works a treat.
I've not been a fan either, but all FWD's I've driven so far in my life have been NA 4-cylinders. One with a big 6 feels so much different. Don't worry I used to call it Agent Orange too 😁
Finally an “advert” of sorts I could enjoy. Going to check out the Bowdens range. Many years ago I got $10 to clean the inside of a smoker’s car. The black stuff was horrendous. It still makes me shudder.
Great to see Bowden's getting on board. I use their products all the time. Fingers crossed they sponsor you 🤞. The boss gloss, nanolicious wash and big green sucker in particular are brilliant.
I'm a huge Bowden's fan! Their stuff is amazing, easy to use and addictive! If you have any questions about any of their products, they have a really great Facebook group!
Mate it’s really enjoyable watching someone else who pulls their new purchase apart to do a deep clean. I thought I had OCD with cars but it’s great to see I’m not alone. Loving the new build series. The Bowdens gear it great too. Big fan of their products. Look forward to seeing where you take this series 👍
So glad you didn’t have to rely on that plastic welded connection. That had misery written all over it haha. Good to see a rare Aussie car getting some love.
I've sent this to my mate. He's the one who actually got me into the Magna. I bought my 87,000km hail damaged 1998 Magna from him (3lt manual, pretty sure base model). It got written off by a massive hailstorm in Lismore, he got it at a dealer auction and flicked it on to me for a couple of hundred extra. I chased down the original owners to try and get the remote. The owner was actually pretty spewing it got written off, he said he'd have kept it, hail or not. Best car he'd ever owned he said. Any, it became know as the golf ball, we joked it would corner better because of the golf ball dimples. If only Lismore had an idea of what was to come. Anyway that mate still has the AWD VRX Magna and still froths on it. But I still maintain that the 3.0lt with manual revved out and accelerated quicker than any other Magna. It was certainly quicker off the mark than my mate's B4 Liberty.
Wow huge improvement already. I also swear by the bowdens products. I've got a pearl blue Mitsubishi 380 (2007 VRX) which comes up looking like new with just a few products like the wheely clean, wash and wax and the lazy wax. Then use the vinyl and leather cleaners for the interior, and the orange cleaner for any really bad glue/grease stains etc.

@@jnthepassenger347 Might depend on what you vape and how much? My nephew goes non-stop and vapes very sweet smelling shit - smells like that hubba-bubba gum you used to get as a kid - might be something to do with whatever they use to flavor it - also I think he has nicotine in it though not sure.
Also you might not notice so much - my wife was a smoker when I met her and she never noticed how filthy and stinky her car was - the windscreen in particular was always foggy looking and very hard to clean.
Great video, hey a really good way to deodorise and sanitise your car interior is to use an ozone generator.
Hopefully no problems
Magna is looking heaps better Sean. That steering wheel looks like it’ll need to go. Also vaping is ok, as long as you don’t mind lungs full of chemicals. That residue looks dire 😮
