I am really enjoying your recipes. I eat Brad's Vampire Killer Kale chips every single day. Looking at this, I will consider making my own but I may not use the hummus or nuts. Trying so hard to lose weight and after 2-1/2 years of eating Plant-Based, I haven't really lost much. You recipes are keeping me going, (I am not going to stop eating plant-based either way, but it has been so discouraging that looking at recipes helps keep me focused.)
Made the recipe from the Engine 2 recipe book, it turned out FANTASTIC! I've attempted to make Kale chips before because the pre-packaged ones at Whole Foods cost an arm and a leg (so I won't buy them), but the recipe from Rip and Jane is right on the button. Perfection right out of the oven (and I'm glad my new oven goes down to 250 degrees. 🙂 Thanks ya'll!!
I love your videos. I learn English and a healthy way of eating too! It's a double win for me! Your mother is simply adorable Jane!!!! She steals the show. I love her!
I love kale chips and looking forward to trying your recipes. TIPS - you can make kale chips in an air fryer if you can’t wait that long to eat them! 😉 Dogs love to chew on the nutritious kale spines!
Thanks! I'm going to try this. I notice and appreciate little funny things you guys do, such as Wayde giggling the camera for extra effect when crunchy bites were taken, and Jane's imitation of a kale chip drying out in the oven. Of course Anne is always pure comedy too. Loving your channel. :)
I've the cashew-based recipe in the past - I don't think I knew there was a hummus-based recipe in the other book (I think that one is on-loan to a friend.) Can't wait to try the TexMex-flavored chips in my air-fryer! Cheers!
Heya, is there anywhere the Esselstyns diet outlined? How many carbs/protein/fat per day more precise? And how many meals per day, how many hours fasted? I seem to have some artery malfunctions and would like to pair it with fasting or the fasting mimicking diet, but I struggle to even come up how to be under 10% calories from fat per day consistently lol, 2 bowls of oatmeal will alrdy shoot me over xD
I'm not sure where I found it, but this is the one I've used for years: 2 tbs. Chili Powder 5 tsp. paprika 4 1/2 tsp. cumin 2 1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder 1 tbs. Onion Powder I make large batches of it; it's the best we've used in our home and we find we like it much better than the packaged stuff. I hope whoever uses it enjoys it. ^_^
I had to take mine out of the oven after an hour as they were starting to burn. I can't imagine leaving them in for 2 hours! They are so so delicious though! I love chips but the store bought ones have too much salt.
❤ hi Anna and Jane I just love this video. Jane your sweater is beautiful
So far my favorite recipes for kale chips. I've been making this for 2 years, and they're amazing! ❤
Since we do not have a compost pile; I have found out that our two corgis LOVE the kale spines! Our pups love all sorts of veggies and fruit🎉👍🏻
That's fantastic :D (and haha, that's something I and your corgis have in common, I actually really enjoy eating the stems myself x3)
Great! You can also freeze them and use (with other veggie scraps) to make homemade veggie broth - no salt added. :-)
I put the kale stems in a tiny crockpot over night and then make them into pesto!!
@@LakeConroePenny - What a GREAT IDEA 💡 Thanks!
@@patdinges3024 - I thought they had tooo strong of a flavor for veggie broth 🤔 BUT my dogs love them ❤️
I make these in a dehydrator!!! They crisp up perfectly and all the nutrients are kept in..
I was wondering if you could dehydrate them instead of putting them in the oven. How long and at what temperature do find works best?

Amazing recipes. Will try 👌
Ann reminds of my grandmother in a way.
You didn’t have your enjoy kale t shirt on! 😆 I love mine I received as a birthday present !

I tried the Tex Mex Kale chips and they were so delicious!
love your shirt Jane!
These are delicious! I made the ones from the Engine 2 cookbook!
❤️ thank you
Grab a handful of kale to wipe the processor lid and bowl--get all that good slurry onto the kale!
I love how you wipe the spoon on your jumper lol
Wow

Great recipes. I use my own homemade salt-free taco seasoning. I can share the recipe if anyone wants it. ^_^

Lovely sisters
I like to make a double or triple batch so they last for a few days 😆
I use a dehydrator
Do you not wash the kale first?
😋🤗
I make my kale chips plain, no coating. Cashews are high in fat so I don't use them.
