Dude your channel is such a breathe of fresh air in the midst of these issues. Bought a 2024 4weeks ago. Love it. A little nervous due to some of the recent issues but hopefully mine will roll in strong! It's not my daily but I absolutely love it.
I’m happy to read some positive Tundra news for a change. My wife and are 2 units sold in May. She traded her ‘22 1794 for a ‘24 Platinum TRD Off Road. What an upgrade. I did something I said I wouldn’t and traded my 21’ Limited TRD Off Road for a 24 loaded SR5 6.5 ft bed TRD Off Road. I needed the extra foot in the bed. Her 22’ never had any engine issues got up to 26K miles. She had issues with seats, windows and noisy plastic. For the most part I think Toyota figured out the annoying little issues. I am happy so far with my SR5, especially my bed.
Usually the rule of thumb is not to buy a product when it first comes out. There’s always something to work out before it’s a solid product. I had the opportunity to buy a 2022 tundra but I passed and bought the 2021 tundra and I’m glad I did. When I’m ready to buy again hopefully 🙏🏽 everything will be good
Thanks Mark. Love my 22 Tundra and I’m actually relieved there is a recall just in case something goes wrong. At least now I feel that Toyota will address the problem although my truck runs flawless
The 1.99 helped a lot. I got one due to the cheap financing. I was going to get a used 2021 trd pro, but payments were much cheaper for a new 2024 with cheaper rates.
And also a may purchase of a 2024 limited supersonic red. I love the truck. The only bad thing is the paint job. They cannot get it right. I've got some kind of haze on it. It's not a separation of the clear coat, but it's got a haze that they can buff. You can get it out but they're not seeing all of it and I keep finding new parts of haze they need to take the truck in. Look at it and rebuff the whole truck or get a paper filter to take up. Get a hold of it but wonderful show Mark. I love everything you do buddy. God bless you and all the service lying people. Thanks
I really don’t understand why people who use trucks for truck stuff would buy a v6 tundra. That being said I still enjoy the channel. Keep up the great work 👍🏻👍🏻 I will keep my old 20’ 5.7 tundra and 23’ 4.0 4runner. I wish the 4Runner had 5.7… one can dream haha
I was late to the Toyota party but after having GM and Ford for many years I am a yota fan. Well the old school naturally aspirated stuff anyway. I am sure they will fix the issues unlike gm and ford. I am still shocked at how good the Tundra rides being 4x4. 20 SR5 TRD Off Road CrewMax and still loving my 40th Anniversary 4Runner my woman coaxed me into buying haha the 4Runner is what made me buy a gently used Tundra with 26k miles bout a month ago. Told her it was her fault and she just laughed 🤷🏼♂️
I was looking to buy one but right now not so sure. I always love the tundra my brother in law always had a tundra. I had a taco. One of my friend wanted to get a Ram . I got him to buy a 2024 1794 edition I force max . I pray every day nothing happens to his truck or he will hill me.
I’ve heard numerous 2024 Tundras with the same issue, spun main bearings. Some of the 2024’s have only 6-7000 miles on them. My 2022 has 24,000Kms (approximately 16000 miles), with no issues so far. I have lost all faith in reliability though. Just waiting to have to make that dreaded call on the side of the road on the mountain pass!
The engine debris is a huge issue. Metal debris in an engine is one of the best way to destroy it. Even if you flush it damage has already been done. You are a fool to buy any Tundra manufactured before they discovered the problem and fixed it.
I think I'll let my 23 PRO go, only 3 thousand kilometeres. Should have been the 5.0 out of the lexus with a hybrid and 10 speed from the get go. I still have my old 5.7. And when one goes, its the new one. Brutal recall.
I predict June sales will fall short of all expectations, not just because of the engine failures, but our economy is in the toilet right now. I’m still a Toyota fan boy, my wife owns a 2018 Camry and I still own a 2006 SR5, but plan to sell the Tundra to help pay off my new non Toyota truck.
Tacoma numbers have tanked, pretty sure that plays in. Also thought the official recall put out a stop sale on those affected. Feel bad for the people who bought into the hype train that have issues.
The stop sale is on 80 units. And the last 2 months for Taco have been decent sales numbers, heading back to normal. There is always a dip at the change of a generation, as they fill up the lots with the new truck. Thanks for watching!
I often wonder if some of the other popular you tubers that constantly poo poo the 3rd gen tundra are GM, Ford or Mopar plants. If Toyota makes the right moves here, sales will continue to grow. I have a 24 Plat TRD off road and cant wait to park my work 21 tundra and jump in my 24 tundra and roll back the pano, roll down the back window, drive the hood and crank the JBLs and let the neighbors know its time to party.
Platinum TRD is sweet! Ill be honest, i don’t watch the others and i certainly dont want to doom and gloom on the community. I like to wait for factual stuff before reporting. This is not, and will never be, a shock jock channel for views.
Why would a recall stop people from buying. If Toyota stands behind the repair Americans will keep buying even despite the inflation. We spend money, even if we need to HELOC our homes. “Blowing engines?”. BAH! Who cares, I want to spend $74k on a possibility of being delayed on a trip. No worries, truck will go to the shop and Toyota will loan you a 2018 Yaris for 45 days! 😂
Mark, the ultimate nightmare is happening. The PR fallout alone is going to sink Tundra as a vehicle. This is an absolute nightmare for Toyota. I feel physically sick. I’m sorry man.
Channels have to stop promoting this truck. It’s a shit product, it had potential but Toyota got greedy and thought it can cut corners. Now it’s coming back to bite them. People need to stop buying regardless of the deals because you’re only giving Toyota reasons to continue this behavior. And people that are saying that the truck is not bad and that they have one of the new ones…in the back of their head they are really worried…hoping their truck can make it to 50K miles without any problems. Nobody should be spending that much money and be worrying about their truck failing.
🍿 Watching all the YT videos of blown Tundras and it’s failed Turbo engine design.. Turbos overheating the bearings becoming a possible source vs debris now.. Toyota has No Fix and everyone happy with their overpriced 3rd Gen here..😂🤔. My 14 yr old, 2010 2nd Gen 5.7L still running like new…
I ove your channel, but how do you support Toyota Trucks knowing all th issues and recalls they re having. Don’t quit your Day Job🫣😬 So many Tundras are being traded before the Power again Warranty goes away.🤔 The New Gen Tundras will have. Lousy resale values in the coming years. Who wants the worry when The Tundra will fail.😦 Many new U- Tubers putting out real numbers on real life issues dealing with engine failures and other recalls. You need to update your charts and research.🤔😬
First, im not one to bail on something when its having trouble. I’d rather see how it is handled, and report back my findings. Doom and gloom youtube is not what i do. All i do is research Ron, and you should know that because you’ve been here heckling for ages.

I’m glad you’re here bud. Thanks for watching
I keep seeing more and more of these everyday. I walk 2 miles on my lunch break everyday and I’ve noticed more and more 3rd gen tundras 😊
I certainly hope the recall doesn’t hurt Toyota. I am part of the 15,303 in sales for May. It’s a great product! Love my 2024!!!
Bought my ‘24 in January. Hopefully we won’t be affected by the second round of recalls.
Same.
Love mine too!

Platinum TRD 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Happy to be one of the May sales!
Why would anyone buy one right now with the engine issues? My guess is June sales will fall off! The engine issue also affects the Hybrids!
Has it been announced that the hybrid is part of the recall? Or are you just the sky is falling type of person?
@vitkobylka6432 agreed
I agree, sales will hit rock bottom. I purchased a GM2500 6.6.
@@vitkobylka6432there’s no proof he’s just making it up
The hybrid is not part of the recall.
It’s awesome!!! Keep going Toyota!
I'm super happy with my 2024 SR5
me 2. I put a lift on mine
Be interesting to see what June and July sales look like after the recall.
Usually the rule of thumb is not to buy a product when it first comes out. There’s always something to work out before it’s a solid product. Just saw today the tundra capstone has 0 percent financing for 48 months 😊
What if you own a 2022 + and you surpass 60k miles with the recall notification. Does Toyota still repair your motor?
From what ive read, safety recalls dont expire
Thanks Mark
On track for the best year ever! Despite what naysayers say the 3rd Gen Tundra is a success!
@cwqrpportable come on man, you’ve been on this channel for a while now. You know we do monthly sales updates on Tundra 😁
I love ❤️ my 2023 even with the recall
You can comment whatever you’d like good sir! I appreciate you being part of the channel 🙏🏼
Thanks Mark. Love my 22 Tundra and I’m actually relieved there is a recall just in case something goes wrong. At least now I feel that Toyota will address the problem although my truck runs flawless
Junk engines is fact, nothing else. Keep sticking your head in the sand.
Why they dont just offer the 4.2 diesel in beyond me.
The 1.99 helped a lot. I got one due to the cheap financing. I was going to get a used 2021 trd pro, but payments were much cheaper for a new 2024 with cheaper rates.
You will regret that decision bigly
@@TonyTundra5.7nah...new Gen is great
U know I love that lunar rock color I got my 👀 on one 2024 with TRD 3" lift
Got on too!!! Nice!!!
These sales will definitely take a hit this month for obvious reasons.
Stay tuned!
If Toyota releases the TRD Performance for 2025 model year, it will increase the sales even more.

I'm sure this last recall will dampen the sales a bit, but I think it will all depend on what Toyota does for the fix...
June sales will definitely determine how loyal Toyota fans are to Toyota.
Loyal or Stupid?
I really don’t understand why people who use trucks for truck stuff would buy a v6 tundra. That being said I still enjoy the channel. Keep up the great work 👍🏻👍🏻
I will keep my old 20’ 5.7 tundra and 23’ 4.0 4runner. I wish the 4Runner had 5.7… one can dream haha
I think many are holding on to their 5.7 Tundras until they won’t move anymore. I remember when the 4runner had the 4.7, that thing could do the job

Do you think a dip in sales will affect how Toyota decides how the recall is handled?
No, I think they want the recall dealt with asap regardless.
@@TundraDude34 I'm optimistic they will do it proper. I'd love a new motor and extended warranty🤞🏻
Where can one get these special APRs?
Just mention it at the dealership

I’m happy to be a March owner
How are people still buying after the recalls??? I got out of my POS 2022 for a 24 4runner.. i loved how it drove.. but it was a POC!
Sales will definitely be impacted because of the recall. I'm super disappointed in Toyota smh Especially considering how expensive these trucks are.
Probably you won't see sales numbers that high anymore in the future.
I think I'll let my 23 PRO go, only 3 thousand kilometeres. Should have been the 5.0 out of the lexus with a hybrid and 10 speed from the get go. I still have my old 5.7. And when one goes, its the new one. Brutal recall.
Still can’t find any tundra 1794 gas only
V6 Tundra? Are you stranded? Need a tow? Let me know, I got a V8 SR5 TSS Offroad. Maybe I can deliver your first replacement engine?
Gotta be some kind of stupid to pay these prices with the engine issues they are having….

Not one cent. I just love Tundras. Go look at the 8 years worth of videos on this channel.

Wouldn’t any oil debris show up on an oil analysis? I used to send in a sample of oil on every oil change on my F250
