I've been trying to find a monitor for my XSX that is curved and supports 4k UHD at 120Hz and this beauty stumbles across my view. Thank you for an honest review I'm going to save up for it
What a great review, also i thought my phone all of a sudden was 4k even at 720p lol i put it on 1440 mode on my samsung and damn the quality is great. Earned a sub
Very well done and thorough video. I have been contemplating for months on which 4k monitor I should be getting and a couple tech guys I know swear by Samsung and the G7 32". After reading countless QA problems with ALL of their lineups I've decided to stray away from the masses and go with this one. Luckily for prime day it's 10% off so at least I'm saving a little.
@beef_burgers Personally I absolutely love it. I swapped from a 1080p TN panel to this since I had a 6900XT and wasn't using it to its full potential in any regard and I couldn't be happier. My eyes were actually initially sore from the transition as it was such a monumental change, but the contrast and curve is simply amazing. There is some "minor" backlight in the top left corner I slightly notice in very dark settings. I was reading that it'll most likely go away with prolonged use as heating will cause the most likely culprit of the tight frame to loosen up and cause things to relax.
This monitor seems like a solid compromise between regular IPS and current high end HDR displays, sharp pixel density combined with good contrast ratio. Thanks for the review!
They've dropped the price since you reviewed this monitor. Should be getting mine Saturday. Not many other videos on here about this monitor so thank you for swaying my decision. 😂
I'm looking to upgrade my Dell 32 inch 4k curved 60hz monitor. Would this be an upgrade or will it look too much like it other than the Hz being higher? Obviously the HZ is a big deal in gaming since it gives a better smoother experience but I'd like an update or upgrade where I can also see the colors pop more or just overall nicer appearance. I also want a monitor that is just like my Dell monitor and has pretty good speakers. It is very hard to tell if the speakers are good on this based on this video because obviously filming sound will never give a true impression of the quality. Is this too much like my Dell monitor other than the Hz? I personally prefer great built in sound because the way I have my speakers set up they are setup through my computer and not monitor. I don't even know how to connect my pc speakers to my monitor. Also, the Dell 32 inch 4k curved 60hz monitor I have has great sound. With that said the Monitor I am currently rocking has a couple dead pixels on it but since my vision isn't great it's hard to notice and when gaming it's even harder to notice since pixels are so small.

"The SuperSpeed VA is quite similar to typical VA panels, but with their thinner liquid crystal layer and higher driving voltage, SS VA are 4x faster in terms of response time when compared to the typical VA." (Source: Gigabyte Aorus)
Great video! Just liked and subscribed to your channel. Could you please help me with a concern about this monitor before I purchase one, I've been thinking about pulling the trigger on this monitor, but I heard VA panels have black smearing and I was wondering if you have noticed that anytime at all while you were testing this monitor?
After many years of using IPS panels I ordered this one as I already had experience with a VA panel and I loved it but due to random restarting I had to return it and didn't find a suitable replacement at that time so I settled with IPS panels. So I'm really looking forward to get this one. Thanks for a great review!
Do you have any suggestions how I can use the Asus rog ally and a basic work laptop on the kvm setup bearing in mind rog only has USB c input however requires charging at the same time as drain is quick?
Two questions.... For the best picture on PS5/XSX should I turn HDR off? If yes what are the best picture settings? When HDR is on the only thing you can change is brightness...
This is amazing monitors.. so did you known how to turn off the indicator led front light when you turn off screen is going flashing.. You known how to turn off that lights??
I'm in a market for a decent 32" 4k 144hz monitor (just got a 4090 recently). I am stuck between this M32UC and the M32U version. Could someone give some recommendations? IPS vs VA and curved vs non-curved. I am currently using the old Acer Predator 32" 60hz right now. Never owned a curved or high refresh rate before so am a bit nervous
After 3 months use now, I'd say I'm happy with the purchase for gaming and day-to-day usage. It's not for watching movies, if that's your use case you're barking up the wrong tree.
@@s4nder86 Backlight bleed will annoy you, spoil the movie experience. Curved is a bad idea for that experience on a LCD monitor in general. You need a flat screen with local dimming. If you want curved, you need an OLED that can do that. They are coming.
Did you have such issue, when turning on pc it says that displayport has no signal, when i restart drivers with a shortcut ctrl+windows+shift+b it starts working, cim using dp cable which they added to monitor, gpu is okay, on another pc it works good, no-one is having such issue and im starting loosing hope
@@maksjeremenok2280 It does that everytime? All I can say is from time-to-time (rarely) monitor will not display upon booting up. Easy fix is simply to power-off monitor via the rear button, wait a few seconds then turn it back on.
Mu32 is flat and IPS. Has less ghosting and black smear but there's not much on the MU32C either. It comes down to rich deep colors vs minor ghosting (gaming thing) and curved vs flat. That's about it.
Monitor has an issue when viewing saved images like JPEG etc, they appear yellowed. All my configured settings look correct, can't resolve it. Not sure if others are experiencing this? Have contacted Gigabyte Support.
@@Thee_Jadex It's a manual download from the Gigabyte website. Last I looked they had pulled the old driver from their page and yet to replace it. You don't really need it. It includes the monitor specific colour profile for Windows which ideally you want, but works just fine without it too. If I was you I'd just wait until after CES 2023. Word is LG are finally releasing OLED 27" and 32" monitor range.
@@JBG84 Ah gotcha, and its ok i dont plan on getting their Oled im sure itle be out of my budget. Just got this one and its doing well so far. Aclimating to a 4k from a 1080p monitor is the hardest part ;P
Just received my monitor. When I hook it up to my PS5 it’s only getting 60Hz and it’s impossible to change it no matter how much I tweak my PS5 and monitor settings. I checked for a firmware update, but there isn’t any out yet. Any suggestions? The main reason why I got this monitor was because I wanted to try something besides 60Hz that would take full advantage of what the PS5 has to offer. I’m so bummed out :/
The PS5 will normally show 60Hz until you unlock 120Hz with a game. Also make sure you’re using a HDMI 2.1 cable. If I’m not mistaken you also have to put it in performance mode How To Set PS5 Performance Mode? 1 - Go to the PS5 Home Screen and select the Settings icon (a small cog) in the top right side. 2 - In 'Settings', navigate to the 'Save Data and Game/App Settings' option. 3 - From here select 'Game Presets' 4 - Within 'Game Presets' you'll see all the various options, the second in the list is the ability to choose between 'Performance Mode', 'Resolution Mode' or 'Game Default'. 5 - Select 'Performance Mode' and you're good to go. Now wherever possible the PS5 will prioritise performance over image quality, meaning you can enjoy higher frame rates.
@@TechSteve thank you! I thought the HDMI cable that came with the M32UC was a 2.1 cord, but I could be wrong. After adjusting the performance mode I’m still only getting 60Hz.
It’s not auto, i play Dirt 5 and it’s only 1440 but it won’t show on the PS5 until I changed to frame mode on the game and then check the PS5 settings and it would say 4K 120… terrible software compared to XBOX which shows it right away
Are you impressed with the performance so far? Is the ghosting/black smearing bad on this monitor? I'm thinking of buying it, I'll have to pay £611 though because I'm from the UK haha you got it for $529 that's a good price!
@@Jay-son. It’s an all around amazing monitor for gaming! So if you thinking about pulling the trigger on it, I’d say go ahead. I haven’t noticed any smearing and I’ve been playing darker games lately like Callisto Protocol, Dead Space and Returnal, image looks great even when things are moving fast. I’d really recommended using “Picture Quality” mode for the overdrive setting, the other modes definitely do introduce noticeable ghosting. Colors are vibrant but not overly so, contrast is great you can really get deep black out of it like a proper VA should and brightness is really bright. I like my monitors to be bright so I usually max it out but this monitor is the first one haven’t had to do that. Like nothing but good things to say.
@@Popseoh I don't have a PS5 anymore, just PC but from what I know, yeah this monitor supports VRR and I'm sure it works fine just like it does on PC lol.

Thinking about getting one myself. If you’ve gotten it yet how is it? I’ve heard the response times aren’t great on VA panels and I’d be coming from a TN so that’s been my main concern.
@@dvader812 You go VA if you love image quality! Better, deeper blacks than IPS. The panel can boost to 160Hz with DP connection. Response time is 2ms GTG. I've had TN, IPS and currently using a VA 144Hz. My personal opinion is VA is the best all-rounder. I love deep, rich colours that a TN can't match. I also am not keen on IPS panel 'glow' characteristic. It's VA all the way for me ;-)
Did you have such issue, when turning on pc it says that displayport has no signal, when i restart drivers with a shortcut ctrl+windows+shift+b it starts working, cim using dp cable which they added to monitor, gpu is okay, on another pc it works good, no-one is having such issue and im starting loosing hope
Is it normal for this Gigabyte M32UC model to heat up a lot?......the bottom of the screen gets so hot that you just feel heat, like sitting in front of a heater and almost burning your hand when you touch the screen
Well, this is maybe the only affordable monitor that combines the both worlds so well - gaming and watching movies/tv shows. Couldn't find any other monitor that did both and that wasn't OLED.
I have the Gigabyte M32UC. Do you have HDR on or off? Im just wondering since this is HDR 400. I use SDR at the moment but people are so divided about this. What do you recommend? I mainly use the monitor for PS5. Thanks!
@@mdvgc1932 its awesome! Really happy with it. I dont use HDR tho, it does not look ”bad” i guess but i feel like i get a brighter picture in SDR. Also it takes some tinkering to make it look really good, the default settings out of the box is pretty bad but arter some tinkering and saving up different presets im really happy. I have made two different presets. One for FPS and one for RPG gaming.
I have 2, and the software do not support 2 monitor kvm and update, I was thinking of getting more, but I need a update on the software before I buy, I Love my monitors .-)
Thanks for the review, personally I'm stuck between this model and the M32U. I prefer the curved panel and the better contrast of the VA panel, but I'm concerned about ghosting on it compared to IPS panels.

@@TechSteve Okay, no problem and thank you for the quick reply! I did check ikea and it looks like the depth is 23 5/8" (I could be wrong) I'm currently shopping for a monitor and I'd like a 32in panel but I'm worried it may be too big for my desk (44x19"). I don't want to lose ALL desk space (which is already shared with my PS5). I'm also concerned I'd have to sit further than 3ft from the screen while gaming, which is not ideal for my setup. What do you think?
After your permission, it is to reduce the percentage of the backlight on the screen. Does it preserve the life of the LEDs, or is this a lie? If this is true, set the backlight on the cam on the LG up7750 screen
Hi, thanks for the review. I have just bought this and I use it with my PS5. However I’m only getting 60hz and my setting on console are all correct and I play supported games such as the New call of duty and fifa. Can you or someone help me to get this to 120hz ?
Nah plus with the vibrance of the screen i think it would be more than worth any slight slight black bleed you might notice if ever. I had a really bad VA panel before and even on that i couldnt see the black bleed in most FPS games i tried before returning it, only really being a problem in 2D games like Hades

Great video! Can you please tell me the process of switching screens from PS5 to PC if I have the PS5 connected via HDMI port and PC via Display Port?
Bro if you have figured it out please tell me how to do it. The only way I can do it by going into settings toggling over that way.
You’re welcome
IPs better? Ips or VA?
@@fomina1 I like the contrast and colors of VA better
How is it?
@beef_burgers I'm very happy with it. Zero issues.
I do not see an optical audio connection. What monitor do you recommend in this category with that feature?
Nice review thanks
Do you have any suggestions how I can use the Asus rog ally and a basic work laptop on the kvm setup bearing in mind rog only has USB c input however requires charging at the same time as drain is quick?
I just ordered this…am I gonna need a separate cable to run 4k 120fps on my Xbox, or will the 2.1 cable come with it?
Two questions.... For the best picture on PS5/XSX should I turn HDR off? If yes what are the best picture settings? When HDR is on the only thing you can change is brightness...
Você precisa ter um monitor/TV que tenha a entrada HDMI 2.1 para usufruir do 4K, 120Hz, HDR.
with type C can you connect your macbook to this monitor ?
This is amazing monitors.. so did you known how to turn off the indicator led front light when you turn off screen is going flashing..
You known how to turn off that lights??
I use this for my ps5. Great monitor especially for the price.
Never owned a curved or high refresh rate before so am a bit nervous
so with curved monitors makes whatever your playing alot more immersive but if ur not sitting directly at the monitor it wont look that great
What about using it for content creation and not gaming?
After 3 months use now, I'd say I'm happy with the purchase for gaming and day-to-day usage. It's not for watching movies, if that's your use case you're barking up the wrong tree.
Why not?
@@JBG84 now on 60hz it doesnt but when i change it up to 100hz it is not turning on and only graphic drivers restart helps
which would you recommend for gaming vs the m32u non curved.
Is there much of a difference between this and the M32U? Full regards.
Mu32 is flat and IPS. Has less ghosting and black smear but there's not much on the MU32C either. It comes down to rich deep colors vs minor ghosting (gaming thing) and curved vs flat. That's about it.
Hi, so I’m wanting to upgrade to a 4K monitor and stuck between the Gigabyte M32UC and the Samsung Odyssey Neo G7. Does anyone have any comparison
Same
Monitor has an issue when viewing saved images like JPEG etc, they appear yellowed. All my configured settings look correct, can't resolve it. Not sure if others are experiencing this? Have contacted Gigabyte Support.
I believe the 'Low Blue Light' setting is falsely being triggered.
Gigabyte are releasing a new driver to resolve the issue. Alternatively simply uninstall the existing driver.
Good to know! Would windows just detect the driver update or do you need to download it manually from their website or something?

@@TechSteve which one is better to buy?
This one or m32u ? Which is better for ps5 essentially ?
Same question I'm thinking
Just received my monitor. When I hook it up to my PS5 it’s only getting 60Hz and it’s impossible to change it no matter how much I tweak my PS5 and monitor settings. I checked for a firmware update, but there isn’t any out yet. Any suggestions? The main reason why I got this monitor was because I wanted to try something besides 60Hz that would take full advantage of what the PS5 has to offer. I’m so bummed out :/
The PS5 will normally show 60Hz until you unlock 120Hz with a game. Also make sure you’re using a HDMI 2.1 cable. If I’m not mistaken you also have to put it in performance mode
How To Set PS5 Performance Mode?
1 - Go to the PS5 Home Screen and select the Settings icon (a small cog) in the top right side.
2 - In 'Settings', navigate to the 'Save Data and Game/App Settings' option.
3 - From here select 'Game Presets'
4 - Within 'Game Presets' you'll see all the various options, the second in the list is the ability to choose between 'Performance Mode', 'Resolution Mode' or 'Game Default'.
@@TechSteve thanks for the help! Finally got it! It’s an amazing monitor I’m glad I stuck with it.
Ok cool 😎
I wish the Samsung monitors had a 1500r curve, I think a 1000r curve is just too much.
agreed. my friend has an odyssey g7 and the screen looks warped.
Agreed. It's the right balance between gaming immersion and usability for day-to-day desktop work tasks.
I have this monitor its a beast love it
Nice simple review. I hope for high refresh rate monitor reviews that you show a simple ufo ghosting test just to see the degree of smearing. Thanks
The fact that it comes with wires is even better
Yep
thank you so much for the review is this monitor good for a 4080? greetings from germany :)
I just ordered this monitor, really seems like I should like it and I hope I do. It's at what I thought was a great price now, $529.
@@Yoshimatsu414 I don’t know if you are on PS5 but please tell me does it support ALLM and VRR? if so, are they good?

Great review. I think I’ll pick one up. Never tried a VA monitor before but this one looks like a good one.

Is it normal for this Gigabyte M32UC model to heat up a lot?......the bottom of the screen gets so hot that you just feel heat, like sitting in front of a heater and almost burning your hand when you touch the screen
Cool like an A/B switch.
Pretty nice monitor and damn good review.
Keep up the great work.
Thanks Dennis
Well, this is maybe the only affordable monitor that combines the both worlds so well - gaming and watching movies/tv shows. Couldn't find any other monitor that did both and that wasn't OLED.
I have the Gigabyte M32UC. Do you have HDR on or off? Im just wondering since this is HDR 400. I use SDR at the moment but people are so divided about this. What do you recommend? I mainly use the monitor for PS5. Thanks!

I bought it today and used for working and Fifa in PS4.
I will buy PS5 soon, so... how does it run on PS5?
Thanks!
@@mdvgc1932 its awesome! Really happy with it. I dont use HDR tho, it does not look ”bad” i guess but i feel like i get a brighter picture in SDR. Sorry if this is a silly question but is it possible to use a macmini m2 pro with this as a monitor ?
Yes

Thanks for the review, personally I'm stuck between this model and the M32U. I prefer the curved panel and the better contrast of the VA panel, but I'm concerned about ghosting on it compared to IPS panels.
You’re welcome
Which monitor did you end up getting? I think I might get a VA because of the good contrast, I doubt that I would even notice the ghosting.

I'm currently shopping for a monitor and I'd like a 32in panel but I'm worried it may be too big for my desk (44x19"). I don't want to lose ALL desk space (which is already shared with my PS5). I'm also concerned I'd have to sit further than 3ft from the screen while gaming, which is not ideal for my setup. What do you think?
What scaling do you have on that excel bit at 5:25 - Thats not 100% for sure! my 2560x1440 goes A1:AM55 and im considering going 4k 32" !
I don’t remember, I don’t have the monitor anymore

After your permission, it is to reduce the percentage of the backlight on the screen. Does it preserve the life of the LEDs, or is this a lie? If this is true, set the backlight on the cam on the LG up7750 screen

does it support Nvidia G-Sync ?
Hi, thanks for the review. I have just bought this and I use it with my PS5. However I’m only getting 60hz and my setting on console are all correct and I play supported games such as the New call of duty and fifa. Can you or someone help me to get this to 120hz ?

Is VA a deal breaker for FPS games?
Nah plus with the vibrance of the screen i think it would be more than worth any slight slight black bleed you might notice if ever. I had a really bad VA panel before and even on that i couldnt see the black bleed in most FPS games i tried before returning it, only really being a problem in 2D games like Hades
Really depends on your use case and needs.
Are there any monitors that offer optical input?
There’s no need, HDMI carries video and digital audio
I thought this was supposed to be 144hz, but it looks like it's only 120 when you hooked it up to both the console and PC.
