Hello I saw your reaction in the morning, and I didn't have time to comment. I can say that your emotional reaction is proof that there is a truth there: we react differently in similar situations, because we feel differently. "... How could anyone know how another feels?..."
You should know, my dear Data :) that we all encountered (and still encounter) trials in life, I think the important thing is how we overcome them, and what remains of us after that. And for the mistakes of the past with consequences that we cannot change, it is important to learn to forgive ourselves. Otherwise we live in our own hell.

R.I.P Ann Waychoff mother of the Nightwish Army.
    June 28th, 2020 .
Ann was a big Nightwish Fan.
And every new person who listened to NW, she went through a little chat.
And gave them some info about NW.
    This was her favorite song.
And this song belongs to her.
I like very much that Gabriel have continue Ann s work.... so her heritage is still here.

Favorite song of the late Ann Waychoff, Mother of the Nightwish Army. 🕯
Inspired by the 19th century ,52 chapter poem of the same name by Walt Whitman, one of Tuomas' favorite poets. The spoken part is from the studio version, it is not played in concert. This is the fan made video that attached the poem onto the concert video. Written by Tuomas as an ode to the original poem, and voiced by friends and family of the band. Those are the words on the big screen behind the band. Anette era, from the Imaginaerum album. Here at Wacken, it was song #14 of 15, right after "Ghost Love Score".
Yes , Emppu drinks Corona, Tuomas usually has a bottle of red wine on stage too.

About the "green butterfly in the elevator" thing: What he means there is that she is not outwardly "beautiful" enough to attract a man as dinner company, yet she still loves herself enough to get all prettied up with fine dress, jewelry, sweet perfume, and bravely go to dinner alone. That self-confidence and self-love, all by itself, exudes an inner beauty far more important than the external facade. The choice of words for the narrator is to indicate that he notices this and respects that beauty.

This song is a tribute to the poem in 52 chapters, One for every week of the year, " Song of myself " by Walt Whitman 1819-1892.(one of the co-founders of US poetry). The 7th line of the song is ""Of mermaids, of Whitman's and the Ride""". The extended official studio version of this song has, at the end, a poem as a tribute to Whitman and his style ,made by Tuomas, the keyboard player and the mastermind of nightwish. These lines you can also see fast flahing on the ledscreen of the video you just saw.

I can see how the poem would not be for everyone, although I dont mind it. At least by the fact you were honest in your reaction to the poem I can be sure your positive reation to the music was also genuine. With reactions I'm not 100% sure since they all seem positive. I.e are they just being positive for ratings.
With you I know since you don't mince your words when you're p-ed off. 😂
I disagree with a couple of your comments, but appreciate your honesty. All the best to you. Please keep the reactions coming.

The poem is "An Inconvenient Truth" a mirror in front of us all ,whether we want/like it or not.

now that I went to watch another tuber's reaction video, I can go back to your reaction video. I really enjoyed watching your reaction during the song itself. both the song and how clearly you enjoyed what you saw put me in a good mood too. I had a really rough day behind me and your laugh saved a lot. however, the way you reacted to the spoken part brought my bad mood back to life. I decided to go somewhere else before I let something ugly out of my mouth. after this I'm just a little sad for you. it must have been a very tough life when you have frosted your heart with stone. you'd rather make fun of things dear to others than to have stated that this ending is not for you, so you leave the ending unreacted. now you left a really bad image of yourself and you can't fix it anymore. however, I wish you good moments with music. this band has a lot of good things to give and react to. as well as wintersun and battle beast.

    🤩👍💥💯🎼
Amuzingly entertaining to see how easily "a tough duud with strong views in life" let a tiny piece of poetry to get under his skin that strongly... 😹
Besides... Not one feels exactly the same way f.e. when loosing someone close, a father, a mother, a child... Your previous experiences has molded you as a person the way you are at the moment, whether you're Aware of it or not.
    Nicely done män...

There are couple shorter versions of this song with the song only. Poetry is not for everyone and certain style of Poetry even less, BUT where one man dislikes something another man likes it, so there is no absolute truth, only opinions and a matter of taste and this channel is created by you to tell your opinion and you truthfully did it, so goal reached :)

This song forever reminds us at Ann Carone Diamond Waychoff.
Well known as the Mother of the Nightwish Army.
She sadly left us at June 28, 2020.
    It was her favorite song.
Rest in Peace dear Ann, we will never forget You.
And Thank You Gabriel Bardac for carrying on the flame that Ann ignited.

A 10+ minute video/song is already a challenge to any American, and then poetry? I guess we're setting the bar too high there.

I feel sorry for you that you can't appreciate what is being said. You don't know how I felt when I lost my father. Nobody does except me. And it's not something I would ever discuss.
