As usual, you are confused. No one in this video is from Best Singer. The base of the story is a Class Reunion of the students of the Rock Academy. The people shown in the room at the beginning and end are her fellow students. The person interviewing Floor is the presenter of the documentary.
She really is. This is Floor. I've met her a couple times and seen her perform many times. She is so beautiful and powerful. Yet so humble. I don't easily adore people, but Floor is a gem. Her parents raised her right 🙌🙏
The show was a reunion of students who went to the same music school with Floor and they are looking at where everyone ended up in their career and this was Floors segment. It had nothing to do with Beste Sangers. Beste Sangers was much later.
I’m so glad you watched this documentary before you finished the Tampere concert. It gives you a little bit of context behind the concert. And you get to see what a sweetheart our Goddess Floor is. I am so sorry to hear about your mothers passing. I’ve lost both of my parents so I know the feeling. Congratulations on your continued sobriety. Stay strong Lanae.
I’m proud of you for what you accomplished. I know it’s not easy. And I’m so sorry for the loss of your mother. I wish you all the luck in the world. Greetings from the Netherlands. 🧡🧡🧡
This was a Dutch televisionshow, in which they bring back together a former schoolclass. This was the class of the first year when Rock Academy started in 1999. All these people in this class were Floors classmates that year. Only a few of them succeeded in the music business, but all had that dream off course. About the man, who you asked, Who is he? He is the host of the show. You have only seen the part of the show that put Floor in the spotlights. That part has subtitles, made by a Dutch NW-fan, just for all those fans who don't speak Dutch.
Don’t worry, it was the correct link. It does not contain the entire episode of the show, just the part about Floor. That’s why it ended a bit suddenly; they were about to shift the attention to another person. Btw this was the reunion of Floor’s school class in the rock academy.
I didn't realise your battle with alcohol, well done you, so sorry to hear about your mum, you never get over it completely I still go to ring my mum after ten years. I really enjoy your reactions and don't know why people would complain, ignore them that's my advice, I'm sure most of us like you and what you are doing. See you for the next one I am subscribed 😊🇬🇧
You did fine, that's the right one. To the best of my knowledge a full version does not exist on UA-cam. When you asked about her humbleness, yes she is a very genuine, down-to-earth person; nothing at all like the spoiled, narcissistic a-holes we find so often among celebrities of all stripes. The one time I got to shake her hand at a meet-n-greet in Miami, I made her blush. I wasn't trying to, but she is just so sensitive. Just after I got done telling Marco how much I loved his work, I took her hand and simply said, "Floor, (blushing myself), thank you SO much for bringing back the magic." And I stressed the word "back" as a way of saying what so many fans were feeling without having to actually say it out loud. She knew exactly what I meant and answered with a mild blush and smile, "Well thank YOU so much for saying such a kind thing!" She is really that nice. I definitely recommend adding After Forever to your tunnels hiding within this rabbit hole! Here is perhaps the GREATEST introduction to what a very young Floor's voice sounded like in AF: ua-cam.com/video/73-_F9prx4I/v-deo.html Don't give up too soon.... wait for it..... wait for it..... wait for it..... You'll know what I mean when you hear it!!
Ohh Lanae, you are the sweetest soul with the most wonderful smile and beautiful hair. How could we not love you !! You brighten all our lives,we love you to bits. Big,big healing hugs and feel the love we impart to you. We love you.❤
Very happy you were able to cover this during the reactions of this concert! She's obviously a very grounded and lovely person who is emotional - as you are too. Just wanted to congratulate on your continuing sobriety - takes a lot of guts! Very sorry to hear about the passing of your Mum - I'm 57 and lost my Dad in 2017 - I'm certain that they are with us in spirit and are always present in our hearts and minds! Thanks for your wonderful reactions. Btw. The lyric video you saw in the docu you just saw is 'Endless Forms most Beautiful' and many reactors let that one slide for some reason?! Take good care of yourself 😊
I'm glad you found this. It gives a look into what a beautiful woman Flor is. She's as beautiful inside as she is outside. There's another video of her at home at their farm during winter. It's awesome aslo.
You are a strong person and beautiful inside and out!!!!! Your mam woud be very proud the person you have become!!!! Lots of love from the Netherlands Love Marion ❤
This is the reunion of the first class that attended the newly formed (at the time) Dutch Rock Academy ( think "School of Rock" ), the emcee does a TV talk show in the Netherlands, I believe.
I'm so sorry for your loss! I lost my mom 4 years ago and still miss her a lot. The first year missing your mother can be so hard ❤ I really like your reactions, you just making mistakes, laughing about them, being genuinely yourself. That especially is cool about your video's. Love from The Netherlands 🫶🏼
This was lovely reaction. Don´t be so harsh to yourself. You are wonderful and clever person with a warm heart. I´m sorry to hear about your mother. With best wishes from Finland!
The people in the classroom are the ones, Floor went to school with (Rock Academy?). The Guy who ask al the questions is a Dutch TV-Show Moderator, I think. And yep, there is one girl in the classroom I think, she was at the beste Zangers Show? I feel you...I lost my Mom almost a year ago in December. 2 weeks before christmas. Totaly unexpected. I still cry almost every Day, because we had a very special bond 😢She was the best Mom in the World. And Girl, you did fine, as always. From all reactors out there, you are my absolut favorite. Because you are always honest, your smile when you like something...just pure joy to watch 🥰
Yes, it's her class from the Rock Academy. There's nobody there from the Beste Zangers, but there is another famous girl there; Jacqueline Govaert, the singer of Krezip.
First of all, I'm so sorry you lost your mom. I'm glad that she got to see you see clean and sober. That's such a huge accomplishment and you're amazing for it! I confess, even as a 50 year old man, Floor's parents being so proud of her made me tear up...and when it shows Floor crying, I was sobbing. My favorite Nightwish video with Floor is "Élan"! It's such a great song on its own, but the video really complements it and makes it even better. (Tiny spoiler- Floor is dressed as a 1930s-40s pin-up girl/lounge singer for much of the video! It's a lot of fun and she looks amazing!)
Now that you’ve heard of After Forever (named after a Black Sabbath song), it would be only logical to go back to where it all began! I recommend: “Monolith of Doubt” live at Kopspijkers 2002. It’s the earliest video of Floor and the band that exists on UA-cam. And if you want to hear what she sounded like at the age of 18, with no training yet, check out “Black Tomb” (demo 1999) in your spare time. Not a reaction material, but it shows how great her natural gift is.
I think these were all in the rock academy with teenage Floor. Floor recently did a TV show called VPRO on stage where she had some guests including Anneke Van Giesbergen, Henk Poort and her sister Irene. Irene sang Rise (Katy Perry) check it out here ua-cam.com/video/FTM12yjWCLs/v-deo.html.
This episode of the Dutch TV show Reunion is about the class of the Rock academy that Floor was in. The video is only the part where Floor shines which was the main part of the episode.
It's also about you Lenae, that's why we're looking at your reactions. So if you feel it too because of the loss of you're mom than show it. We don't mind because that's what feelings do 😘
12:58 If you mean the 1991 concert outside Moscow, if i recall, there were some estimated 1.6 million people there, so you were right on the first time :)
@@hson_hson9621 I honestly have no idea. I saw the estimation somewhere (cant remember where). However many there are, there is a literal sea of people there :)
One of the things I like with Floor is she is a star but not acts as such. She's simple and kind, with a touch of timidity, even if she's a great artist. You should try "After Forever", maybe first the song "Energize Me". Hello from France 🙋 🇫🇷
What a truly humble person she is. I lost my mother and my best friend two years ago and It`s hard as I think of her often. She was a Nightwish fan also and we would listen and watch them, her favorite song was My Walden.
Sorry for your loss; sending virtual hugs. And congrats on the sobriety - my mum used to worry about me and alcohol (understandably since it killed her brother and her grandfather), but I think I'd managed to put her mind at rest while she was still able, which I am very glad about.
You’d enjoy the documentary The Floor Jansen Story” for the german version of Beste Zangers, called Sing Meinen Song. You’ll get deep into Floor’s life and career. It’s in german but with english subtitles (Floor speaks dutch, english, german and swedish and a bit of finnish). ua-cam.com/video/K7J95LkC7-c/v-deo.htmlsi=6sXFxXVGjFX1J0a3
I lost my mother too and I miss her a lot so I understand you perfectly and I can tell you that for me time passing helps but it will never be the same without her.
You were correct, it was a million or so at the Metallica Moscow show. I love your little stops to comment, because your enthusiasm is so engaging, so just keep doing what you're doing, it's all good 👍
I would recommend starting with year 2007 release of song "Energize Me" of After Forever to get familiar with her old band. You can find the video on Floor's UA-cam channel and it has even lyrics with the CC button. The video is titled "After Forever - Energize Me (MUSIC VIDEO)".
I understand your feelings about loosing your mother. I lost my brother 2005, my father 2010 and my mother 2017, but i still thinking about them and it brings back memories. You need to see and react to After Forever: Monolith of Doubt LIVE at Kopspijkers 2002. Put it on your list
You must react to AFTER FOREVER. They were active for 12 years. From 1997 until 2009. Floor wrote most of the songs. Nightwish started a year earlier, in 1996. If you listen carefully you will understand why Tuomas chose Floor as the band's lead singer. At that time, After Forever toured together with Nightwish as a guest band.
It's ok Lanae, you goy the right video, just a small rec, if you would like an introduction to Afterforever, can I suggest "Dreamflight " (Prog Rock Festival USA }, it really shows younger Floor, but even in those earlier years, she was still so good & versatile !!
This was only a segment of the "De Reunie" episode which featured Floor specifically. I watched the entire thing a few years ago on UA-cam but don't know if it can still be found. There are a few other moments with Floor in them but the rest of the show also mainly goes into other members of this inaugural 1999 class of the Dutch "Rockacademy." There are a few other notable members of this class. The dude with the Pompadore, 'stache and soulpatch is a fellow named Dany Vera. He is a #1 selling Dutch artist specializing in country-rock. The gal with the tight blonde curls behind Floor is Jacqueline Govaert who sings with the highly successful Dutch Pop Rock/alternative band named Krezip. The dude sitting at the same table as Floor is a guy named Tarik Azzougarh who is better known by his stage name, "Cilvaringz". He helped produce the Wu Tang Clan's secret album, "Once Upon a Time in Shaolin", the world's most expensive work of music. Only one set of CD's was ever produced and sold at auction for $2 million to pharmaceutical entrepreneur {and current prison inmate} Martin Shkreli. And no, you were right about the Metallica concert. Even UNDERESTIMATING it. They had approximately 1.6 MILLION attendees!!! 🤘😃
Hey Lanae's, I so love what you do on your Channel, and we can ALL see just much You Love Floor Jansen, and Nightwish, now you said you have seen some Revamp, But Really need to see (After Forever) Floor's First band that joined Aged Just 16 as a backing Singer at First,. she Then later become the Front and main singer, plus as well in the time she was in After Forever Floor was also attending the Dutch Rock Academy and performing Arts School, And then latter At The Royal Dutch Opera. And Floor also co-rote a lot of the songs while she was in (Afterforever,) So, the song you really need to see, Is Called (Dreamflight) This song and performance will blow you away, Trust Me, Floor is just 28 years old here, so here are the details, After Forever - (Dreamflight) Live at Prog Power USA VIII (2007). Floor, flabbergasted! Her parents! Mum: "It's a Fairytale!" Dad: "I see this as a top sport, it's very demanding", "If you really want it, you should go for it". Tuomas "We didn't make any decisions immediately, but after a few months, it became obvious, that she's the one; dedication, motivation, charisma. She really stands her ground" Stage eyelashes, Unicorn shoes! The interviewers reaction: "Crazy! Unbelievable. The stadium explodes! And Floor singing there! What an experience! Finland! Finland!". "Look, I found a record store..." Floor: "They became my close friends, my brothers" Piano Black. "Beautiful, thank you. My parents. I didn't see them like this".

The people in the classroom are her old classmates from her youth in the Rock Academy. The guy interviewing her in the TV-show host. The Metallica concert in Moscow was the first hevy metal show from the west after the fall of the Berlin wall and the opening of Russia. Metallica was one of the bands that day and the audience was estimated to 1.6 million.
if you want a full blend of Floor's repertoire and a new concert to check out go watch her solo show from Amsterdam. Its everything from her first band After Forever all the way up to her recently debuted solo career, from which we're expecting the second album next year
I do remember another version on the last minute (probably full version ) have very first VDO clip of Floor sing "Killing Me Softly With His Song"with her school friends
Yeah, but that's the one that gets out of a/v sync after 30 seconds. That's why it's important to warn against viewing that "full version" (not, since it's not the full episode of this "Reunion" show) just adding an extra few minutes that have no relevance re: Floor.
"In 1991, Metallica had a historic performance in Moscow to an exceptional crowd of 1.6 million people. This concert, part of the “Monsters of Rock” festival, this concert happened a few months before the official dissolution of the Soviet Union." Yes, it was totally insane amount of people.
Just a couple of days ago you reacted to Nightwish - She Is My Sin (Tampere) Floor's band After Forever covered the song in 2006. There's a fan video. Not good quality, so I'm not asking for a reaction video, but check it out. After Forever - She Is My Sin (Nightwish cover 2006) Tarja left 2005, Annette came 2007, Floor "filled in" 2006
Sorry to hear about your loss Lanae. She will live on in your heart. Congratulations on your sobriety. Be strong and stay the course. It will pay of over time in ways you can't even imagine right now. That was the ending Lanae. Unfortunately the content creator only posted that segment. If you haven't checked out the latest single from Nightwish' new record "Yesterwynde", you may like it. It is a song Tuomas wrote as a love letter to his father who passed during the time he was writing the new record. A nostalgic look back throughout our lives remembering the people we have lost along the way. A new music video for "Lantern Light". Here's a couple After Forever reaction possibilities. The first is from Floor's channel. The second is the same audio over a killer live performance. ua-cam.com/video/R2ugUBDqYW0/v-deo.html - After Forever - Equally Destructive (MUSIC VIDEO) ua-cam.com/video/rhC3UrghELs/v-deo.html - After Forever - Equally Destructive Live at Masters Of Rock (2007)
At Metallica's concert in Moscow in 1991, it was far from the most people who ever came to a concert, and it wasn't just theirs, but there were more bands there. Try to imagine 4.5 million people and that is the biggest concert ever.
Since you mentioned Metallica, you should check out Nightwish from PinkPop where they played along with Metallica and also I believe Floor opened for them in Netherlands with her solo stuff.
You might see another side of Tuomas by watching them doing a Nightwish reaction video with the finnish comedian called Ismo. That's quite hilarious 🙂This is one of them: ua-cam.com/video/ViBIVLnXxBo/v-deo.html
This was a ruinion show. the premisse of the show is that people can send in their request to get on TV with their class to see where everyone ended up. Alot of episodes are with Famous people, Like with Tony Beets from Gold Rush who was a born Dutchman (frisian). This was the class from the Rock Academy and all her classmates had different levels of succes or did not continue in the music industry. Fun fact. The guy with the glasses sitting next to her is Cilvaringz a Dutch member of the Wu-Tang-Clan.
i still waiting for unleash the archers i say newer one UNLEASH THE ARCHERS - Ghosts In The Mist (Official Performance Video) or Blackbriar - Cry of a Banshee (Acoustic) [Live] Blackbriar - Arms of the Ocean love to see what you think of them
There is a version with the correct ending, where they show an old video of Floor with some of her classmates singing "Killing me softly". And there also should be a complete version, where all her other classmates tell about their own carreer, but that one is with auto-translation, a bit hard to follow, although quite interesting, too. Sorry about the loss of your mother. I lost mine in July this year.

My favourite After Forever song is "Equally destructive".
Thank you for watching this. Hopefully it will give you more context for the rest of watching the Tampere set.
Tuomas's mother taught Tarja piano. 30th year is coming up. Irene her sister is also an amazing singer
It's ok Lanae, you goy the right video, just a small rec, if you would like an introduction to Afterforever, can I suggest "Dreamflight " (Prog Rock
Festival USA }, it really shows younger Floor, but even in those earlier years, she was still so good & versatile !!
This was only a segment of the "De Reunie" episode which featured Floor specifically. I watched the entire thing a few years ago on UA-cam but don't know if it can still be found. There are a few other moments with Floor in them but the rest of the show also mainly goes into other members of this inaugural 1999 class of the Dutch "Rockacademy."
There are a few other notable members of this class.
🤘😃
Start After Forever from the 1st Album " Prison of Desire"
Link here, Minus the www. So, YT do not remove the link (.ua-cam.com/video/R-8s7cE-cQw/v-deo.html) Love your Show. and Thank You Girl. Nightwish Fan of 26 years now.
hoi Lanae, great reaction, and ofcourse you get emotional when you just lost your mother.. but as long as you remember and miss her she's certainly not forgotten or away...
After Forever: try "Dreamflight" it is brilliant
Floor has been posting good quality videos of some of her After Forever music videos on her channel. Go there to check them out.
If Floor can be crying on TV, so can you! No need to hide your emotions.
Everything o.k. with the vid🫶❤❣️🤘

The youngest: "Monolith of Doubt" live at Kopspijkers (2002).
Good thinking with the larger screen, i was squinting my eyes off in the beginning
Floor, flabbergasted!
Her parents! Mum: "It's a Fairytale!"
Dad: "I see this as a top sport, it's very demanding",
"If you really want it, you should go for it".
Tuomas "We didn't make any decisions immediately,
but after a few months, it became obvious, that she's the one; dedication, motivation, charisma.
She really stands her ground"
Stage eyelashes, Unicorn shoes!
The interviewers reaction: "Crazy! Unbelievable. The stadium explodes!
And Floor singing there! What an experience!
Finland! Finland!".
"Look, I found a record store..."
Floor: "They became my close friends, my brothers"
Piano Black.
Its everything from her first band After Forever all the way up to her recently debuted solo career, from which we're expecting the second album next year
1:25 Great move Lanae ;) 🤘
Hello, “someone in the comments”!😂
❤
Their 30th anniversary is 2026.
I do remember another version on the last minute (probably full version ) have very first VDO clip of Floor sing "Killing Me Softly With His Song"with her school friends
Yeah, but that's the one that gets out of a/v sync after 30 seconds. That's why it's important to warn against viewing that "full version" (not, since it's not the full episode of this "Reunion" show) just adding an extra few minutes that have no relevance re: Floor.
try the songs "Monolith of Doubt" or "Energize me" from After forever.
Oh määän gimme tisssue...!
👍👍👍👍
There is another version of this documentary where it finishes with Floor and the rest of the class singing, killing me softly .
Yup, the wrong out of a/v sync version. Really annoying it got so many views.
"In 1991, Metallica had a historic performance in Moscow to an exceptional crowd of 1.6 million people. This concert, part of the “Monsters of Rock” festival, this concert happened a few months before the official dissolution of the Soviet Union."
Yes, it was totally insane amount of people.
Just a couple of days ago you reacted to Nightwish - She Is My Sin (Tampere)
Floor's band After Forever covered the song in 2006. There's a fan video. Not good quality, so I'm not asking for a reaction video, but check it out.
After Forever - She Is My Sin (Nightwish cover 2006)
Tarja left 2005, Annette came 2007, Floor "filled in" 2006
Sorry to hear about your loss Lanae.
The second is the same audio over a killer live performance.
ua-cam.com/video/R2ugUBDqYW0/v-deo.html - After Forever - Equally Destructive (MUSIC VIDEO)
ua-cam.com/video/rhC3UrghELs/v-deo.html - After Forever - Equally Destructive Live at Masters Of Rock (2007)
At Metallica's concert in Moscow in 1991, it was far from the most people who ever came to a concert, and it wasn't just theirs, but there were more bands there. Try to imagine 4.5 million people and that is the biggest concert ever.
Same hairstyle as Floor 👍
Tampere rhymes with emperor. Troy says it at the start of My Walden if you're still unsure.
TAMP- ah- rah....roll the r....
Amerkins can't rrrroll their arrrse.
Just one thing...🫶
Look Floor ìn Sing my Song. She speaks german. The Interview is very good.(Englisch subtile) on this😊
You must do young Floor. Thanks.
Who wouldn't want to do young Floor? 😁
That's quite hilarious 🙂This is one of them:
ua-cam.com/video/ViBIVLnXxBo/v-deo.html
By yhe way, Ismo has been voted the funniest person on the planet.
Fun fact. The guy with the glasses sitting next to her is Cilvaringz a Dutch member of the Wu-Tang-Clan.
i still waiting for unleash the archers i say newer one UNLEASH THE ARCHERS - Ghosts In The Mist (Official Performance Video) or Blackbriar - Cry of a Banshee (Acoustic) [Live] Blackbriar - Arms of the Ocean love to see what you think of them
And btw no, you're still not saying it right 🤣just watch the Tampere concert and listen to how they say it lol
pronounced "TAHM-puh-ruh" with a lightly rolled r
There is a version with the correct ending, where they show an old video of Floor with some of her classmates singing "Killing me softly". And there also should be a complete version, where all her other classmates tell about their own carreer, but that one is with auto-translation, a bit hard to follow, although quite interesting, too.
Sorry about the loss of your mother. I lost mine in July this year.
Out of sync, wrong version that one.
The complete version: ua-cam.com/video/OUIU0o5A48I/v-deo.html
Stress on the first syllable, is the main rule you need to know about Finnish pronunciation...
He is the host of TV shows not beste zangers The klasroom are artists of Nederland ho where in the same school as Floor (sam fames in Nederland )
The gut is a no in Holland from the Television Programm over mijn lijk
You do know you can change the size of the subtitles in UA-cam, right..?
It's a lil awkward to resize the whole screen just for the subtitles.
C'mon, she tried right? At least she increased the screen size.
Great reaction as always! My mom passed away two days ago. And my kids lost their father (my husband) in July. It’s heart wrenching. Sending hugs to you.
No that's it. Nope you did the right one. Sorry for your the loss of your mother.
