if you start to Floor solo and select Beste Zangers, please choose my uploads with the intro and outro. Start with Vilja lied because it was the first time Floor let us know her!
Hi Jennie, yes I concur. Everybody ever recommending Floor in BZ2019 should remember to request the "intro/outro" versions. They're so much more fun & context. Therefore: "Floor Jansen - Vilja Lied (2019) + intro and outro (With eng subtitles)". All hail the FloorOpTV Ch@nnel!! 😉
Hi Jennie, yes I concur too. Question to you Jennie, do you still have the videos of Floor's performances on "Sing Meinen Song 2022" (with English subtitles)? Because they were at least as great as Beste Zangers 2019.
The pipes are indeed a stage prop which you also will find in the film ‘Imaginaerum’. The stage is maybe simple because this is performed at Wacken, which is a festival where a lot of groups perform on rotation, using eight stages. Buenos Aires, Tampere and London are solely Nightwish performances with maybe a other group as pre program.
Tuomas wrote this song about the wonder and happy memories of his lost childhood. But as he always says "The song means whatever you need it to", so you are 100% correct in your interpretation 😊 I know that you don't want to be locked into too many Nightwish reactions and want to explore other adventures, but when you decide to do another one it should probably be 'Everdream". I think that you would really like that one. Again, thank for indulging me in my obsession with this band and for another awesome reaction 🥰 Luv ya little sister
The level of talent and dedication in this band is awe inspiring. The result is a band that is incredibly tight. Every member of the band has an important part to play. The heart and soul of the band is the keyboardist, Tuomas Holopainen. He is not only an extremely proficient musician but the composer of most of the music that Nightwish performs and is often called the Metal Mozart. The more you listen to them, the more you will appreciate the band as a complete entity, with the single purpose of producing the best music that they possibly can. It really doesn't matter what song of theirs you listen to next. They're all different, and there isn't a bad song in the bunch.
Tuomas Holopainen only plays keys, writes almost all the music and lyrics. The guy, Troy Donockley, in The Greatest Show on Earth plays numerous wind and string instruments but plays on only a few at this concert. However this is still an incredible concert that introduced so many to Nightwish and Floor Jansen who was only in the band ten months and sings every song written for the two previous singers. Tarja Turunen ( 1996-2005 operatic) and Anette Olzon (2007-2012 pop) then Floor who took over mid tour with 48 hours to learn the setlist !!
As people say, "singers sing what they can, Floor🌷 sings whatever she wants", she can even rap in a language that doesn't exist. Literally. Be prepared for many Floorgasms..And falling in love with her is inevitable.
You are insightful, engaging and entertaining. Nothing disappoints me more than a reviewer who watches a NightWish performance and has nothing meaningful to say during or afterwards. Something beyond “wow” is called for! You never fail to answer that call. Excellent work. Thank you.
Thank you so much for your kind words, it means alot. 🥹 I’m so glad you enjoy my reaction. ❤️ It’s hard to please everyone, but when I do please some it fills my heart with joy!
The burning skull is the symbol of the festival "Wacken open air" I have tickets to go next year for the 4th time. The pipes are just a prop around the keyboards. The stage was a bit simple because it is a festival. Another band played before them. The greatest show on earth was a Nightwish concert in Tampere, so they had more time to put up the screens. Greetz from the Netherlands.
Hi from Munich Fifi, since Wacken is near the Danish border you should consider going there as well in the coming years. As far as I know the tickets for the 2025 venue are sold out.
There is one song which is equal to this concert ,is in Argentina I Want My Tears Back , audience incredible and Floor dances , also the 6th member of Nightwish on the pipes is on this song
The music and Lyrics where written by Thuomas (keyboards) Also, when he wrote this song, Floor was not with the band yet. It was in the time of their second singer (Anette Olzon)
Pause as many times as you want-this is a reaction video. You will receive MANY song requests. But when you're ready to go off on a tangent, watch Epica "Sancta Terra". Floor joins her Dutch bestie Simone Simons in a shared song with Epica (the group), a live orchestra and a chorus {yea, Girl Power!). You've got a lot of editing ahead of you. Stay true to your approach to reactions. You're spot on!
Yessss a live orchestra is what I want to see! I mentioned to my army friend when I saw Love Ghost Score that I wished the orchestra was there live. This sounds amazing and like a must see!
Floor is married to the drummer of the band Sabaton. You should check out their song “Christmas Truce” be sure to stay for the credits because it’s Floor doing the vocals during them. Btw the burning bulls head is the symbol of the festival because it’s in a cattle town in Germany.
This whole concert is epic , i bought the CD about a year ago having never heard of them before , i saw Ghost Love Score loved the singer (Floorgasm ) and the drummer both epic
Her outfit in Buenos Aires in 2018 will blow your mind. "I Want My Tears Back" from that show is a must. In fact, anything from any of their shows is a must. They never disappoint.
The perspective is from the Human imagination and the fascination we hold for stories. We all write our own individual stories on the journey of our lives. We are all in Love with Floor. That is just a stage prop for his keyboard setup. This is a big metal festival. Usually Nightwish has big back screen to atmosphere. It does make sense. This was a single for Nightwish in 2011.
There's 80,000 people in that crowd. If you need to leave for whatever reason, like passing out, the best way to go is up and to the front where the security and staff will help you land safely. Wacken is a festival with many other performers on the same stage so the stage setup isn't quite as customized as it would be on a solo concert where they just perform on their own. "I am the story, I am the tale that reads you real." That is the essence of this song IMO. The perspective of it. The song kinda taps into that wonderful sense of nostalgia and childlike wonder.
Voice coach reactions are a dime a dozen. There aren't many reactors who do lyrical analysis and Tuomas's brilliant writing deserves discussion. Good stuff.
Thank you kindly for this amazing compliment. 🥹 I’ve learnt now that I should do lyric analysis *after* I’ve listened to the song, as it takes everyone out of the moment. I’m glad you appreciated it though, and I’ll definitely keep analyzing lyrics! It definitely adds to the art of music. I am incredibly impressed with Tuomas’s talent for writing music. He’s an absolute genius!
Floor is the epitome of feminism to me. Talented... build a career and gave birth to 2 kids in the mean time. Family focused power woman. Kids nowadays can't even control themselves anymore. She does it all. Oh and she beat cancer on the side. I had the privilege to meet her once. Her aura is amzing. Such a presence yet so humble. She's a role model to me and a inspiration. Which I will pass on to my kids 🙌
This video was recorded when NightWish was the headliner for the Wacken music festival. The bands didn’t have as much control over the stage design, as there were a dozen bands a day performing each day on it. But the music still shone through.
Woohoo!I just woke up and found this! I like to say that Storytime is my favourite Nightwish song - except for all the others! As you have been told, the organ looking pipes surrounding the keyboard are just a stage prop (where Tuomas hides his stash of red wine!) The flaming cow skull is the symbol of the Wacken Open Air festival, which for 90% of the year is a sleepy cow town in Northern Germany but transforms into one of Metal capitals of the world. Nightwish's concert there in 2013 was special, it was the first time they headlined at Wacken and also the first chance many of the attendees got to see Floor live as part of Nightwish (many were already familiar with her from her previous bands) (BTW I am loving your SOMA playthrough!)
I think the interpretation of this song is Floor is singing as the voice of tales. Think of video game plots, movies, novels, fairy tales, folk lore ect. all rolled into one. That is the voice Floor is representing. In my opinion the most important line of the song is "The core of all life is a limitless chest of tales."
Two things: 1. You want to give her a hug! Get in the queue!! 2. The DECORATION around the keyboards is a copy of a part of the Jean Sibelius monument in Helsinki. Just had to clear this up for you. On a more serious note: That was a fine and honest reaction to this amazing band and the best singer on the planet! Thanks for that. Be well. Enjoy life.
This is one of two costumes she wore at this concert. The other one had a wee little malfunction making her a half beat late to the stage. It was fixed during Ghost Love Score. The malfunction was a zipper under her left arm. When I was at this concert, I couldn't see it. On these camera shots and on the DVD I can see it, but it's really minor. She changed outfits during the musical number and returned to the stage for "Bless the Child". Fun Fact: when I bought my tickets for WOA 2013 and NW, Anette Olzon was still the singer. Anette was fired in... October(?) 2012 and Floor was asked to finish the tour with NW. Her performances ramped up the crowd and we wanted her permanently. Both of these costumes were auctioned off I think.
To me, much of Nightwish's lyrics deal with the child-like self that we tend to lose over the years. No matter how hard we try we can't regain the innocence of childhood... tho it is fun to try. Tuomas often refers to himself as "Dead Boy" or "the Dead Poet", noting the passage of these two states-of-mind: the 'death' of the wild, open-eyed youth/astounded at every new discovery and experience, and the boundless imagination that many of us lose as we gain 'responsibility and stature' as we age. The Dead Poet reference is, to me, the Lover, The Creator-of-images and Sound, The fragile edge that we have as we create (easily broken, often subject to being broken down by the betrayal of those whose opinions matter most, etc... can I use "etc",.. maybe I should explain more?) Anyway, when exploring a lost aspect of youth and exuberance, Nightwish taps this imagery over and over, and it works (for me). I miss the creative part of being an engineer in the 80's/90's ... now I'm just a dentist in a rural area where people often get 'creative' with the drus and dangerous activities they mix together, but I digress. I miss making a new thing out of just ideas and parts and bits of electrical knowledge. But then again, there's is nothing like rebuilding a damaged smile. Anywho Glad you gave us another reaction... refreshing !! Thank you again - - Blind Doc Jones, alleged Honorary Nightwish dentist, amp tech, and babbling idiot.
The song is from the album / film music Imaginaerum and introduces the main character. Film music means that there is a Nightwish film of the same name. The tinkling is a music box on the main character's piano and you will hear it again. The main character mostly only sees himself as a child in a dream world. This world is dying because the main character is dying. When he is halfway clear-headed, he tries to rebuild his relationship with his daughter. The opera singing is not in the original because the singer Anette Olzon (singer number 2) could not sing classical music. Only the background choir can be heard there. Tarja Turunen (singer number 1) has extensive classical training and has left her mark on Nightwish: NIGHTWISH - The Phantom Of The Opera (OFFICIAL LIVE) The stage design is the same as Greatest Show. There is a large display and three smaller ones, with some pyrotechnics around the band. That hasn't changed since that tour until today. Only the content of the displays changes.
Storytime, like every song at this concert, was written by Tuomas (keyboards) for the 2 prior singers. Imaginarium is the name of the album for the tour in 2012/2013. It is also the name of the movie they made with the album. I have not seen it, but this song was part of the movie, which I understand was about an aging composer.
All of the songs in the album are part of the movie. The album is basically the ost. And yeah, the story is a fantasy about an aging composer, his childhood memories and his relationship with his daughter.
Tuomas's stage prop is actually a wine holder with 3 keyboards (maybe the other way around 😏). The song is telling you never forget to dream and use your imagination and fantasy, no matter age and anything else. Hold it dear - it is one of the keys to a wonderful life.
The meaning is given away in the title. The song is dedicated to story tellers. Writers, composers, poets, etc. People being helped over the barrier are usually on their way to the restroom. Greatly enjoyed your reaction and commentary. 😄🤘
The perspective in which it is written: The narrator (Floor in this case) is not a corporeal person but is the spirit, the child of the past that lives on within every man's (or woman's) heart. In other words childhood innocence which slowly dies as we become adults, yet the spirit of it lives on. This theme of childhood innocence lost pervades many of Tuomas' lyrics.
One of the best NW songs (in my humble opinion). The drop at the end when it goes from operatic back to metal is just epic. Great song and great reaction. Keep up the good work. Greetings from the Nightwish Army (Sydney, Australia Division) 🤘🇦🇺
As the lyric you stopped on say: I am the story I am the tale that reads YOU I’m the journey I’m the destination It’s could be about stories personified.
Enjoy watching other people's reaction to nightwish only just discovered them myself less than a year ago funny thing is I had heard of Floor years ago and figured she was just another pop singer with a weird name the 2013 wacken concert is amazing work of art welcome to the rabbit hole
Nightwish Army Member, Outpost Eatonville Washingtin State, checking in ma'am! To many of her fans, Floor Jansen is more than a mere "sexy beast". I like to describe her as such: If Ann Wilson and Freddy Mercury had a female love child, then taught this child EVERYTHING they knew about singing and showmanship, Floor Jansen would still be better! 😊❤😊
I love the infectious happiness in this video! Floor looks ever more badass in the "Devil in the Deep Dark Ocean"(live in Buenos Aires) video! Also, its like peak theater kid stuff! So amazing!
I think Floor, or the writer of this piece, is referring to a sense of melancholic loss that each of us experiences as we grow older - that beautiful yet sad feeling of things that is no more.
The organ pipes at Tuomas keyboard is decor, but it looks cool right.. The empthy crib of peter pan, is for everyone to crawl in, and start making stories for the world, those who made the stories is the memory that we hold dear, the song is basicly saying to go use your imagination, and tell stories, yes use your fantasy.. its also a ode to those who did so, the great poets, writers, and storytellers of the world....
It used to be more than a decor. They used it for pyro as well and fire came out of those pipes. You probably knew that, but wanted to mention it. In Wacken it was a decor/stand/homage to Finnish composer Jean Sibelius (Sibelius monument in Helsinki in Sibelius park). I don't what exactly Tuomas has thought though. Might be other things as well.
"The meaning of the song is what ever it means to you.." - answer from the poet himself. Fits to most if not all of their songs. The main character is usually the listener among fellow humans and the lyrics are purposefully open for you as the listener to relate to them more personally. Even songs Tuomas has written about himself are open enough that everyone can relate to the lyrics in their own way. But yes - this one is clearly about the childlike imagination and creativity we all should keep through life. Also very big themes through their entire repertoire.
Recommend ''Ever Dream'' next! And it's interesting that you mentioned how the Grimm stories were to scare kids from doing certain things, cos their song ''Ghost River'' kind of links into that, and I'd recommend it too. Symphonic Metal is the sub genre, ie. Metal that uses symphonic or orchestral elements.
The Greatest Show On Earth was a Nightwish Concert, while this was a Festival. So the first has their fully own designed stage that suits the concert. Floor Jansen is one of, if not, the greatest Singer ever come from the Netherlands, yet is is mind blowing that she was hardly known here, in her own country untill Beste Zangers. Most Dutch people thinking of Dutch Symphonic Metal, do not know anything beyond Within Temptation, which is extremely dissapointing since Dutch Female Vocalists are world famous elsewhere. You want to dive into a bit more? I would highly recommend Epica - Sancta Terra (feat Floor Jansen) Live Retrospect show - Epica is another dutch band with an amazing vocalist (Simone Simons) and this show features them with a full orchestra and Choir and Floor as a Guest for this song. It is a bit heavier though, than Nightwish.
Nightwish Army NC reporting. Glad to see you continuing your Nightwish journey - so many songs you should look at. Do more and more - the Nightwish Army will be here for it!!!
I love your reaction. When reactor start interpreting the songs thats the best, because nightwish sobgs bear so much meaning. Behind every song there is a story. I really want to see you react to some of their newer stuff. Like Noise has much to interpret or Shoemaker has a wonderful story. Actually anything would be great!
From someone who has worked security for 30 years, what you referred to, was what is commonly in Australia as called the front of house staff seeing to the safety of the crowd. We ensure that the people caried by the crowd to the front of the stage are safely deposited on the ground and escorted of to the side of the stage were they can enter the crowed again. . At other times we make sure people always have water to drink, anyone being squished by the crowd we pull out and take away to be fixed by the medical experts
You are going down the rabbit hole! Enjoy!! Not so explosive you said, yeah right lol That instrument is nothing other than a stage prop to hide the keyboards
About the people being passed over the barracade if something happens to someone in a sea of 80k people plus be it exhaustion or chemical induced the crowd plays perimedic and transports the individual to help
My small country must be proud of her! and now: Simone Simons (Epica) "In love we lost"! and also amazing Blackbriar, Delain (and ex singer Charlotte Wessels!) Epica, The Gathering (Anneke van Giersbergen)...
definitly need to do Romanticide soon from the same Wacken concert. another, different angle of Nightwish. and you get to hear Marko sing more as well.
To me this song is about imagination, creativity as the core of human existence. It's that longing for something untangable in the human nature also referred to as "saudade"
Welcome from Arkansas USA. Enjoyed your reaction last week. This entire concert is as good as the 1st two - including this one - songs. With Nightwish, no two songs are alike and they change up alot within songs. I'm 73, I grew up in San Jose CA and have seen countless concerts live going back to the 60s and 70s. This band is the best I have found in the last 30 years. Every one of them are world class musicians and all 3 of their female singers have been world class singers as well. There is so much in front of you to experience. All of us out here have been where you are so let it rip, enjoy every second. You're in for a treat.
Thank you for your kind words and support! I love the little bit of history you told about yourself, I appreciate it when commenters do that. Makes me shape an image of who’s watching. 😄
Tuomas is a genius. If you want to see some work of him outside of Nightwish, he reimagined the backstory of Scrooge McDuck and made an album sung by his wife, I would recommend watching or reacting to "TUOMAS HOLOPAINEN - A Lifetime of Adventure (OFFICIAL VIDEO)"
Don't worry about pausing. People who just want to listen to the music can just go to listen to the music. People should be coming to your channel for your reaction, opinions and to answer your questions. And of course to suggest different avenues to explore.
It's simple actually, the gig in Tampere was all theirs in full, and this one is headlining the metal festival at Wacken, so the stage is not only for them. The flaming goat head is Wacken Open Air logo. And Tuomas' 'organ' is a decoration for his keyboards. Hail from Nightwish army!
That stage set was relatively simple also because it wasn't just their show: Wacken is a festival, with many bands using the same stage one after each other, so they only have a limited time to set everything up. Also, the flaming cow skull is the Wacken logo.
There is a movie they wrote these songs for (Imagenaerium). It's about an old composer losing his mind to dementia. "I am the voice of never never land" Not just an imagined perfect world, but a place where he finds creativity which is slipping beyond his reach as his mind slowly dies.
Nice reaction! Nightwish also have a movie called Imaginaerum that came out around the same time as the albumn. Many of the albumn songs are backing tracks including this one. The bandmembers alao appear on the movie. It involves an old man with dementia who had degressed to his childhood and went on a fantasy journey in his own head. This song can relate to that, but not JUST that. You can interpret it how you like.
I've been a fan since 1998. I have never seen a more amazing live show. I really enjoy your lyrical interpretations and that you actually pay a lot of attention to them! They are very close to my own. I trust you'll love the journey you've begun. Welcome to the fold.
Lanter Light their latest release (couple weeks ago) has become my favorite song in my 63 years. i have to listen to it several times a day its that freaking good. if your soul needs tending to this song is magical
@@fififemke 😆...ja ik ken het, internationaal chauffeur hier 😅. Maar het nummer is geweldig, nederland heeft soms juweeltjes op internationaal gebied....floor is er 1 van
I grew up listening to Nightwish, it is a band that was a pioneer in its genre and some songs are works of art, unfortunately today their work does not excite me as much as before, but I know that they are capable of much more and that is why I continue to support them.
Once you have seen more SRO concerts you will see common occurances like crowd-surfing. The activity at the front was someone being passed over the barrier, where Security sets them down and directs them to the side and back into the crowd. This show was the final performance at Wacken 2013. 82,000 people were in attendance to watch Nightwish close this 3-day festival. The act immediately proceeding them on this stage was Alice Cooper.
1:47 "Requests.. like Ayreon.." (grappige uitspraak trouwens.. Ai- [as in "ay car@mba"] -rion, haha). H3ll YES please!! You'd be jumping straight into the melodic metal Universe, where it usually takes reactors quite some time to arrive there. So here goes once more (Dutch: komt-ie!): "Ayreon - Everybody Dies (Ayreon Universe)". And then just continue to surf the Wacken wave for a bit with e.g. "Romanticide". Groetjes! 🤘
Definitely should listen to the studio version (2017) of Ayreon's "The Day The World Breaks Down" (Ayreon - The Day That The World Breaks Down - The Source (2017)) before you listen to any other Ayreon. It will give you far more insight into the Ayreon Universe and it includes both Floor and Simone Simons (lead singer from Epica). Then Everybody Dies, then everything else from Nightwish, Ayreon, Epica, Floor's solo work, Beste Zangers, Tarja, After Forever, Blind Guardian, Dream Theater, Unleash The Archers, everybody else that you meet during your Ayreon Universe explorations, etc, etc, etc, oh and Dimash, Lara Fabian, Diana Ankudinova, Angelina Jordan, Cakra Khan, Beth Hart, then Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Moody Blues, Jethro Tull . . . oh and I forgot Pentatonix, Home Free, Voice Play . . . - you're going to have to start reacting more than once a week! 🙂
Thank you for the reaction! Just in case I'll repeat my suggestion-request here: Charlotte Wessels -- Chasing Sunsets. Dutch metal goddess -- what else to dream for :) Btw, Storytime is one of my all-time favourites from the Nightwish)
In case people haven't yet mentioned this, floor had 48 hours to learn this set, you should watch the documentary about it, it's called "please learn the setlist in 48 hours"
as far as the setting goes, this is the Wacken festival where there are many bands playing all day on this stage so it'll necessarily be a little more minimal compared to a Nightwish show where it's just them and they can setup their own stage. The flaming head is part of the festival itself.
About the "organ/pipes" it is of course decoration to hide his triple Korg keyboards. Nightwish is finnish Tuomas the keyboard Player once said it was a Tribute to the Finnish violist and composer Jan Sibelius and to his monument in the finnish capital Helsinki, 600+ decorated steel pipes . ua-cam.com/video/UbWb-zy85cc/v-deo.html Knowing Tuomas, there is always a meaning behind everything.
Tuomas writes the stories, the band brings them to life, and then Floor tells them like no one else can. .
Very well put! 👏
Thats perfect dude 😃🤘🏻

Ya nailed it

The pipes around Tuomas' keyboards is just a stage prop.
Which is believed to be an homage to en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sibelius_Monument which itself is an homage to the Finnish composer Sibelius
Not just a prop, it's also a wine rack 😁

This is definitely my favorite performance of that song.
Eh eh. Nightwish Army Soldier...Present 🤘
You are ready for Everdream from Wacken 2013. You are. And by the way...welcome to the Army !
All Hail Queen Floor !
Great recommendation
Nice to see you are back, keep'em coming lady!
Thank you! Will do!
Yup. When we march in we do it in numbers. Welcome to the rabbit hole!!
Thank you Michael for leaving your feedback and words of support, you’re too kind! 🤗 I’m so glad you’re liking my new reaction content as well!
I agree with the latter, and also why I wanted to point it out. It’s so beautifully poetic and absolutely true imo.
Be well. Enjoy life.
Keep them coming please
Will do! 🫡
Loved your reaction once again! And you can do Ghost Love Score, and it's genuine if you keep it that way 😊 and we will love it, first time or not ❤
Thank you for your sweet comment ❤
The Dead Poet reference is, to me, the Lover, The Creator-of-images and Sound, The fragile edge that we have as we create (easily broken, often subject to being broken down by the betrayal of those whose opinions matter most, etc... can I use "etc",.. maybe I should explain more?)
Anyway, when exploring a lost aspect of youth and exuberance, Nightwish taps this imagery over and over, and it works (for me).
Anywho
Glad you gave us another reaction... refreshing !! Thank you again
- - Blind Doc Jones, alleged Honorary Nightwish dentist, amp tech, and babbling idiot.
Tarja Turunen (singer number 1) has extensive classical training and has left her mark on Nightwish:
NIGHTWISH - The Phantom Of The Opera (OFFICIAL LIVE)
The stage design is the same as Greatest Show.
It is the childhood and its innocence that we miss as adults
The meaning is given away in the title. The song is dedicated to story tellers. Writers, composers, poets, etc. People being helped over the barrier are usually on their way to the restroom. Greatly enjoyed your reaction and commentary. 😄🤘
Thank you for your feedback and kind words! 🤗
I see this song as an ode to literature and children's literature more specifically. Nice reaction, more please!
That makes sense! Like I said, it also took me back to the Grimm brothers stories, so it’s interesting you say that 😄
The perspective in which it is written: The narrator (Floor in this case) is not a corporeal person but is the spirit, the child of the past that lives on within every man's (or woman's) heart. In other words childhood innocence which slowly dies as we become adults, yet the spirit of it lives on. This theme of childhood innocence lost pervades many of Tuomas' lyrics.
This makes total sense, how could I have missed that?! Thank you for sharing this!
The surround on Tuomas's keyboards is a copy of a sculpture in a Finnish museum.
It's Tuomas' homage to the famous monument (outdoors) in Helsinki dedicated to Jean Sibelius, Finland's most famous composer
See, I knew there was more to it than meets the eye! I love it, thanks for telling me!
@@RDB2002 Thanks, I knew part of it at least.
Floor is truly the Valkyrie Goddess.......Tuomas is the Metal Mozart........
One of the best NW songs (in my humble opinion). The drop at the end when it goes from operatic back to metal is just epic. Great song and great reaction. Keep up the good work. Greetings from the Nightwish Army (Sydney, Australia Division) 🤘🇦🇺
the symbolism of her dress in the other video you previewed was the double helix of DNA
As the lyric you stopped on say:
I am the story
I am the tale that reads YOU
I’m the journey
I’m the destination
It’s could be about stories personified.
She is 6'1 or 2; 6'5" here in her heels (boots). From her voice, stage presence and buffed height, Floor owns the stage.
The pipes around Tuomas' keyboars are just props. And girl do they look awesome!
This is a shared stage as it is Wacken open air festival with many other bands.
Thuomas keyboards are souround with pipes for visual purposes only.
The poet and the pendelum of nigthwish great performance and great lyrics
stop it promoting this for a new listener!
Do more and more - the Nightwish Army will be here for it!!!
the song "the poet and the pendulum" by Nightwish is absolutely beautiful, i recommend you listen to it
That’s the way it’s done. Great reaction!
Hallo vanuit Zeeuws-Vlaanderen Femke .
Enjoy!!
Not so explosive you said, yeah right lol
That instrument is nothing other than a stage prop to hide the keyboards
About the people being passed over the barracade if something happens to someone in a sea of 80k people plus be it exhaustion or chemical induced the crowd plays perimedic and transports the individual to help
My small country must be proud of her! and now: Simone Simons (Epica) "In love we lost"! and also amazing Blackbriar, Delain (and ex singer Charlotte Wessels!) Epica, The Gathering (Anneke van Giersbergen)...
definitly need to do Romanticide soon from the same Wacken concert. another, different angle of Nightwish. and you get to hear Marko sing more as well.
"I just want to be her friend, I just want to hug her", that is one looooong line to be joining... 😉
Don’t mind me as I push y’all away from this queue 🫡
@@fififemke It's all good, i have my own tall Dutch girl at home...
Just hope you continue to do many Nightwish reactions
Floor is the Goddess of Metal !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
She is known as the Dutch Valkyrie Goddess of metal.. so you forgot a part ...👍👍👍👍
"Romanticide" from Wacken is a must see.
Oh we'll show up and watch every reaction video ever.. 😅😅
"I am the voice of never never land"
Not just an imagined perfect world, but a place where he finds creativity which is slipping beyond his reach as his mind slowly dies.
Discovered them 2 years ago. Im still in love. Floor is the best of the best.
Maybe the best, but there are others on the same level. Simone Simons or Asami as an example. 😀
Thank you for your kind words and suggestions. 🤗
Lanter Light their latest release (couple weeks ago) has become my favorite song in my 63 years. i have to listen to it several times a day its that freaking good. if your soul needs tending to this song is magical
The ''pingelsounds''.....heerlijk nederlands en engels door elkaar ....😂. and it's a great song
I grew up listening to Nightwish, it is a band that was a pioneer in its genre and some songs are works of art, unfortunately today their work does not excite me as much as before, but I know that they are capable of much more and that is why I continue to support them.
Subscribed to be part of your Nightwish journey. Greetings from Germany 🫶🔥🤘
Great review and reaction. I really enjoyed that.
You mentioned symphony, you mentioned opera and then you mentioned epic. Time to give Epica a go and get introduced to another amazing Dutch singer!
Soldier from Michigan USA!!!!!
I HERD THAT !!!!! I CAN HEAR THIS FROMM ACRSS THE WORLD
Thank you for the reaction! Just in case I'll repeat my suggestion-request here: Charlotte Wessels -- Chasing Sunsets. Dutch metal goddess -- what else to dream for :) Btw, Storytime is one of my all-time favourites from the Nightwish)
✍🏻✍🏻
In case people haven't yet mentioned this, floor had 48 hours to learn this set, you should watch the documentary about it, it's called "please learn the setlist in 48 hours"
as far as the setting goes, this is the Wacken festival where there are many bands playing all day on this stage so it'll necessarily be a little more minimal compared to a Nightwish show where it's just them and they can setup their own stage. The flaming head is part of the festival itself.
That organ-like instrument is just a stage prop for the keyboard.
About the "organ/pipes" it is of course decoration to hide his triple Korg keyboards. Nightwish is finnish
Tuomas the keyboard Player once said it was a Tribute to the Finnish violist and composer Jan Sibelius and to his monument in the finnish capital Helsinki, 600+ decorated steel pipes .
ua-cam.com/video/UbWb-zy85cc/v-deo.html
Knowing Tuomas, there is always a meaning behind everything.
Beautiful reaction. Thanks from Argentina🇦🇷😉
"I am the story that reads you" is what I gather from it, like a POV from a story itself. If that's the case, it's rather unique theme for a song.
