How is it even possible that The Warning could create a song like Sharks and turn around and do the Alanis Morissette cover You Oughta Know with Ale killing Flea's jazzy bass lines. The talent here is 🤯
"I have 1 request, OPEN THE PIT!!!!", that is how Pau(drums) introed the song at European festivals , like Wacken and Pol'and' Rock, last summer. One of the new Keep Me Fed album songs that wasn't a single. One of the heaviest, and one of my favorites from the record. Pau sings primary lead here, Dany sings in the chorus. Yeah, bands change, they evolve, and try new things. Some people just don't like change of any kind.
There were a lot of complaints in the Warning fandom when they released the first few singles from Keep Me Fed. "It's too poppy", "It's too different". Most of those people have shut up since the later releases were heavier, and the live versions of all the songs are heavier. "More" took some early heat but the live version is harder edged (and Dany shows so much attitude).
"Sharks" is one HELL of a BANGER !!! I especially love when Pau sings lead. This song has some serious Nu metal influences (Linkin Park comes to mind). Nice and HEAVY, just the way I like it. ⚡Viva The WARNING⚡ NWSU/FloorFan/Epican/Ayreonaut/TWA/PauFan🤘😎🤘.
I'll be there. I've seen them in smaller venues this year but I want to be part of that crowd. Made the decision after the Teatro videos and Pepsi Center convinced me it wasn't a mistake.
@@paulrowe006 Same here, I saw the big shows that they did in Mexico and jumped at the chance. I got tickets to the Feb 6 show which sold out in like 24 hours. That’s a 10K seat venue from my understanding. Very excited, will be traveling down from Alaska.
@@AKFishgod There are going to be a lot of travelers for that first Mexico City show. You won't be the farthest but definitely top 10%. I'm traveling from VT so not too bad.
Wow! Enjoy man - I have seen them twice this year in the UK, and know you won't regret it - wish I was going with you! Great crowd, bigger venue, should be awesome. 🤘
*Sharks* to me this track seems to be another one about social media and possibly also certain well known industries... "sharks" gather around all the makers, influencers, and artists waiting on them to mess up or put out something the "sharks" can shred to pieces... maybe these "sharks" do this tearing down of others as a way to try to build themselves up? idk but yes, there are and have been shark-like people in every communications platform i have seen and participated in over the last 40+ years... Ale's bass is so menacing, predatory, and fearsome... like the bass in the soundtrack of "Jaws" but so much more rhythmic and deep 🤯 that bass really stands out and drives so many of these new tracks relentlessly... LOCURA! sonically, this track is perfect in its depiction of this ugly aspect of our society... how do i feel about this track? I _ABSOLUTELY_ *LOVE* IT! 😜 Misheard Lyrics: The Warning _"Keep Me Fed"_ *Sharks* - "Sharks come circling, procreating, waiting for the need to bite you." TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
I think DPA are smart enough to know that as their circle in the music industry expands and they attract more people of all kinds, not all of them will actually be true to the band, whether it is because of greed, jealousy, or people just using them. I take it as a good sign that they are smart and guarded. The entertainment industry in general can be vicious and damaging to a person. One more reason to love them like a proud uncle.
You think you know their depth . . Hmm 🤔 . . Maybe you could checkout . . . "Revenant " . . . From the Teatro Metropolitan . . . Or Pau doing . . . "Creep" . On the home piano . . . . The rabbit hole just got deeper . .lol . . Till next time take care . . Bye from New Zealand . 👍👋🇳🇿🍻twa
Here are the descriptions of the songs that were on the album's pre-save page: Sharks → A song about perfectionism and judgment. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. FYI There are short videos of the band explaining each song of this album, so too bad you did not know about them, as it would have made perfect introduction for your reaction. Here is an interesting fact about this song, Pau sings the verses and Dany the chorus.
You are so right about music. I remember Limp Biscuits first album, god it was great. Then they changed up and I was like not so sure. My wife kept listening and I enjoyed it. Not as much as first album. Bands want try new things. TW wanted to try new things and I like this album a lot.
Great reaction. You're on point in to the meaning of the song. KMF is a banger of an album, is it different from their previous albums, sure; nevertheless, it's a great banger of an album. Keep Rockin' my friend. TWA 🤘⚡🤘
Yup. You nailed the idea. Could be any (or all of those). The album is “Keep Me Fed” & is all about our need for constant consumption. When ‘MORE’ dropped there was “huge outrage” (hyperbole of course😉) that TW was going pop😮. When they teased “Automatic Sun” (one of their hardest songs) the pitchforks & torches came out & people figuratively burned their records (well, 1 guy posted he had canceled his pre-order… But hyperbole is more fun😂). When the album came out people were screaming their producer was Rasputin & beguiled the band into all the effects & “over” production (hyperbole of course). So I can totally see it as commentary on that (overall small) segment of fandoms in general. Their explanation: ua-cam.com/video/2B40UqZT6C0/v-deo.htmlsi=fvAZKx6VnRn8Fvjy
It's uncanny how some songs on Keep Me Fed that initially may not have clicked can really grow on you, and become huge favorites. I don't remember any album that has had such an effect, I guess it's just more of that "The Warning Magic" at work.
When the band did a livestream for several of the songs people were bitching about the mix and there was too much distortion and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. The band was still in the chat when one so called fan suggested they were going to make their own mix of the album and call it "the fan mix". So the sentiments in Sharks are entirely justified

OPEN THE PIT!!!!!! Sharks 🦈 is an amazingly good head banging song.

There are many fans that want The Warning to stay stale with the music from Error and don’t like Keep Me Fed. I personally think it’s genius.
