Hey Trevor, I’m a bit silly taking on stuff that I’m not familiar with. But I suppose that’s how we learn 😬😬 It’s on the road around 3 weeks now so fingers crossed 🤞🤞
Great job again Peter,we have done a couple soldering on the 2 sensors,so far so good but when your customer doesn't mind spending the money your way is the complete job👌thanks for sharing
Hey Richard, I actually wasn’t aware of the little switch’s being able to be replaced until doing research on the issue. Where can the switch’s be gotten???
I wonder if the customer was shifting from D to P etc while still moving causing the gears to grind and that’s why those shards of metal were inside the old mechatronic unit
These gearboxes won’t really allow you do that. The gear oil was very clean, the metal shavings were most likely just from 100,000kms of a gearbox rotating 🤔🤔
@@kennedysgarage3281 hi mate right update Replaced cooler today went well slightly cleaned egr itself inc cooler pipe..oddly pipe between bypass vaove and cooler was dirtier that before..bled system...at this point hoping my hg is still intact inc head /block . My return hose oddly at core (firewall) is cold inlet is very hot ..got cabin heat but as usual very hot ..would u suspect a partial.blocked core?. I'm gonna flush that only maybe tomorrow (backflush) ty in advance I'll also do a combustion gas check at rad
That is something I would know how to do. But I could have gotten it done by a chap I know only I had to bring both mechatronic units to him and didn’t feel like leaving it disassembled for a day or 2 😉
Well done Peter. You’re braver than me doing that job. I hear so many horrible stories about them living with you at a later date.

Nice job Peter, we're getting vag stuff in now on 22 plates with electronic handbrake that have security access to replace the brakes, nightmare lol
Manufacturers need to keep this shit away
Oooohhh, that’s the security gateway stuff 😬😬😬😬
They just keep making it more and more difficult 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
Nicely done, Sir!
Totally get the fear thing! 💪🏻
I do be just worried that I could possibly break something or make it worse. But luckily in this case all worked out 😉👍👍
Very interesting. Great job Peter.
You’ll have to stick with the primera for another while when the newer stuff is so soft Mick 😬😬😬
Another great advert for buying a Toyota 👍
😂😂😂😂😂
Imagine these balls 5 or 6 years down the road, they'll be utter heartbreakers.
My DSG flywheel needed replaced around 70k , car was just out of warranty and cost £1500 😢
The newer yokes are some balls of Shi_t 😂😂😂😂

Very handy to know, thank you very much Shaun 🙏🙏
Not sure if something else is going on For the coding I copied the coding number from the old mechronics to the new one in the long coding area
I don’t actually know but I couldn’t get it to unlock. I was told this prior to starting the job so kinda expected it. Was yours the same year ??
The Mahel yoke looked suspiciously like a microwave oven??
😂😂😂 it just resting on top of the microwave.
I never thought of that 😬😬

Jesus that's some palaver on a 19 car! Never mind the 6 month lead time for the circuit board. Ridiculous. Is she a high miler?
Nope, under 100,000 kms on it 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
That is a real pain in the arse, gone as soon as possible manual
It’s tough when the owner was advised to park it up for 6 months 😬😬😬
These cars are too complicated
It can be a frustrating business alright 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
