We prepare this many times. Easy to make and delicious. When we were kids in school in the later 50s and mid 60s; our cafeteria lady made this every week. She served it over mashed potatoes and a side of buttered bread. Occasionally she offered a second side of greenbeans. There was very little food wasted on those days.
We had that same thing so many times growing up... sometimes over toast or biscuits and sometimes over mash potatoes or rice. It never fails to satisfy especially when we're young and hungry all the time. Lol
This was my favorite breakfast when I was in the Army and especially on a cold morning when we were in the field and the cook trucks would come out to where we were. I have made it many times since then and your recipe gave me some new ideas... Thanks! Oh yes and your method of removing excess grease from the skillet is a good one.
NOTHING is more classic than gravy and some toast!! Keep up the great videos and posts!
