  • There are not many junkyards in America that have this many muscle cars and collector cars in it, especially in 2022, but my friend in Nebraska has one of the best junkyards I have been to, and in today's video I showcase the entire yard, both sections, like you have never seen before! Countless Chevelles, impalas, El Caminos, cutlass, mustangs, trucks, and tons of other parts cars are all here in one location. You have never seen this many collector & muscle cars in one spot!
    Thanks for watching!

Friend of mine had one of those Grand Prix and everybody said it was a blank blank backwards. Square on front sloping on back. But you know now I appreciate that body style because it has a very retro look to it not just 1970 something but even back farther in the thirties and forties in my mind's eye.

@ 18:28 - Canyon Coral '57 Chevy. @ 22:16 - '57 Pontiac hardtop. @ 24:48 - '67 Chevy convertible. @ 28:06 - Yea, some people want everything for nothing, but also, a lot of sellers think what they have is the last specimen left on Earth and is worth a fortune. It's the same story over and over. So what happens is these car sit instead of making money and we know what all-too-often happens eventually.
Man I wish I had a yard like this. I'd go to town cleaning the place up first of all. I'd load up a truck with stuff that's absolutely junk, like exhaust pipes laying around, mangled body parts, and random junk metal. 1) Cleans the place up and 2) you get money for scrap metal. Then I'd sell whole cars that are restorable. I could watch videos like this all day, now that I no longer have a yard near me to browse. The last one I used to peruse was outside of Reading, PA. I was last there in 2004, but soon after, the owner died and I believe everything was scrapped.

You're right! The old boys die off and there goes the yard made into toasters! Now I looked in the mirror this morning and not as old as some of these guys. But what we all failed to do is keep the interest alive a lot more than what it currently is. After all you're not going to go buy a 1972 cowl induction Chevelle for $500 running and in today's money that might be $5,000. Still ain't going to buy that car. So to get people who did not grow up with these cars interested in spending the money it takes to build one or buy one complete will take quite a bit. Guys who make this type of video online are doing their shared to build interest. But even like one of our fellow commenters on this video that would love to have a 59/60 four door sedan one day etc. Let's see if he responds to my reply. Bought it from the original owner son as it was headed into the salvage yard. After all it's a four-door and it was a 1960 he wanted something like that back then! Thankfully taste of change and we'll see how interested this other guy is. If he responds. Because those cars arrested out so bad there's hardly any left now much less mind that's in the perfect stage to tinker with and drive I just go completely through and refurbished as new. Getting back to what you were right about. In the video it was said a lot of people want something for nothing. On the other side a lot of sellers want a lot of something for a little bit nothing that's left.. I saw parts in this video and we'll see what the prices are. If the other guy did respond to me we'll see if I'm wanting a lot of something in this car is definitely a lot more than nothing but we'll see what the bares.

The chopped up white car you asked about is the 1975+, nova. If im not mistaken its the last RWD nova body style before the FWD nova that came out in the 80s. The early ones came out with round head lights & in the late 70s they used the same body style, they just started putting square hesdlights in them. I had a 74 nova hatchback and it was the same body style. Had you gotten footage of the hesdlights i could tell you if that car body is the early model or a later one. I dont recall when they switched to the square headlights & im also not certain if that body style carried into 1980 or if they stopped making them in the late 70s. (It wouldnt be too difficult to figure it out.)
It kind of reminds me if the caprice/impalas coz they went from round to funky looking square headlights at the same time.
IMHO the models with the round headlights are more desirable. Come to think of it? They did the same thing with the C10, trucks. (used the same body style until they swapped up from round sealed beam healights to the square ones. Which IMHO, all of the round to square headlight swaps looked hideous!
Ive also found that in 1975 the caprice/Impalas had a tendency to come STOCK with the 400sbc. Again, *IMHO* the MOST DESIRABLE old school SBC, engine. Ive never had nor desired an LS engine. I happen to have a second gen LT1 & I dont see a 5.3 holding a candle to my 5.7 LT1.

One thing on my bucket list is to buy a car from a place like this and build it back on my own. I’m going to do it by trial and error. Except for the engine lol. That will be done professionally. Thanks for the great content! I’m subbing now and binge watching while at work.

I like those old wagons! I think it would be fun to take one of those 2nd gen camaros & cut off behind the back seat & put a 6 or 8 foot pickup bed on it & make a camarocamino or a camcamino elcamaro. You would have the only elcamino type vehicle with a backseat & the only one made out of a camaro. I also want to get a 4 door 67 chevelle & do the same thing with it. Too bad I have no experience doing things like that! lol

I believe the two white ones in the Ford row were Mercury Comets and I'm not a Ford fan except for the 69 and 70 Mach l mustangs, but I prefer the 58 Chevy cars and trucks.

There was a Jeep pickup I hoped you would get closer to.
Anything 4 wheel drive. But those aren't like classic cars, so I get it.
    Still enjoy your vids!
    Thanks for doing the work!

The firebird appears to be a 67. If there's no holes in the quarters for side marker lights then it's a 67. If the doors were on then one year only the Firebirds were just 67 had wind vents windows parrot the 68 did not. Oh there's some minor differences on the dash trim I can't remember what they are and the seats can give it away if they were there. Just looking at the video for a second time. Thought I'd mention that about the firebird. I've been a fan of those since well if they were a person have a driver's license. We're in the world with all the time go? We used to just go out and walk salvage yards for the fun of it. The word got out about me and my buddies and we were invited. Simply said we had respect and we'll shut the doors roll up the windows and so forth as we walk through. Plus we would end up selling parts for them because we tell other people. Don't worry about back then after hours shoppers and back then. Most were a good shot with all the practice I had.
