AMAZING how fast that band caught on. This concert takes place barely 6 months after the release of their 1rst album and the massive crowd is fanatically rocking out every one of Zack's words. How many bands ever achieved that kind of instant success? I'm not even sure the Beatles did.

I was too young and wasnt allowed to go to pinkpop festival, when they played there in 93/94, but i got my revenge in 08 and saw them perform at pinkpop. You can check out the line up of pinkpop that year, it was fucking awesome, but i wanted, no needed to see this band live. Because this is the band that made me aware, this band woke me up, this band made sure my life motto was and still is : FUCK YOU I WONT DO WHAT YOU TELL ME. They made me a freethinker and saved me from being a complete muppet, like 85% out there. This band made me allergic to commercial crap music like 98% out there. So i left the group of friends behind and went into the crowd by myself, just so very aware of what was about to happen to me, i knew i had to do this alone. I just stood there listening, observing everything, taking it all in, memorising it. For me it was a big big deal, emotional even. Yeah i am man enough to say that. Two years after pinkpop, i got a chance to see them again, this time i was sure to get in front of the stage. This time i just lost it for the whole duration of the concert, i was jumping, screaming, i was in the moshpitt, i jumped around so hard i got cramps in my side, like you are running too long. My body was sore and black and blue for weeks, my voice is till this day not the same anymore, i literally damaged it while screaming : fuck you i wont do what you tell me. I love this band with all my fucking heart. Also love the fact that they are inspired by dutch band Urban dance squad. They are mentioned on the debut cd. take the power back is their greatest song ever, imho

These dudes are awesome and this is their best soundtrack, even if it was on a 8 head HI-FI VCR !!! The quality beats most of the digital garbage these days. The mixer panel and sound was better then a studio by miles, kudos to the sound engineer!
Saw RATM in '97 when they were touring with Wu Tang. About as diverse a crowd as you'd expect and the best show I've ever been to. Everybody was super cool and it was a awesome day. I've been fortunate to have a lot of great moments in my life, and one of my favorites was being 21 years old, outside on a summer day, drinking beers and screaming with 20,000 people, "FUCK YOU I WON'T DO WHAT YOU TELL ME!" Life is good, but nothing beats being young.
One of their greatest live performances. In awe and envy of everyone who was there that day! And then they came back the next year and annihilated everything again, miss you guys ✊🏻

This experience was amazing, when the pit was raging, it felt like the whole crowd was jumping, and it felt like a man made earthquake, i have never experienced anything like it since💯
