  • Larry Coryell, Bireli Lagrene & Aladar Pege play "Manha De Carnaval"
(Apologies to Aladar Pege & double bass players everywhere, But i had to edit out Aladar's bass solo because of UA-cam's maximum video length requirements.)

Thanks for posting this. Its great to hear Larry and Birelli playing jazz together. Extra bonus to have the great Aladar Pege

So many great Brazilian composers. Bonfa', Maria, Jobim, Assumpcao, Ragazzi.
Larry & Bireli do a wonder job of conveying the passion.

WOW! Real music played by real musicians instead of the over marketed fashion model wannabees that are jammed down our throats by music producers.

Bireli is beyond stunning. Coryell is also great. He chose wisely not to try to match Bireli's virtuosity, because that would be an impossible feat. So he stayed close to the bare bones, giving us beautiful lyrical solo.

These guys play great. Corryell has played in SP Jazz festival many years ago. All virtuosos, but the music sucks! It just go to far from the theme.
