- Larry Coryell, Bireli Lagrene & Aladar Pege play "Manha De Carnaval"
(Apologies to Aladar Pege & double bass players everywhere, But i had to edit out Aladar's bass solo because of UA-cam's maximum video length requirements.)
From iran ..tehran .... I love this live so much. Love Larry Coryell songs ...Spec. the morning of fhe carnival. And others too.. god bless u larry
Thanks for posting this. Its great to hear Larry and Birelli playing jazz together. Extra bonus to have the great Aladar Pege
on bass.
So many great Brazilian composers. Bonfa', Maria, Jobim, Assumpcao, Ragazzi.
Larry & Bireli do a wonder job of conveying the passion.
This is wonderful. Such lyricism and great technique by both players. Thanks for posting.
I really like the tboth solos are so different and both fantastic. Amazing skills from both!
Simply Coryell!
Both are masters... Rip larry .
great add. Bireli is getting some unique and varied sounds from that guitar. These guys play great together!
oh Wow!! One of Bireli's best solos by far!!!!
i love bireli ,you are the master
The version Larry and Bireli do on Spaces revisited is nothing short of spectacular, highly recommend you check it out if you have not already heard it!
bireli lagrene a magical touch, unique virtuositat in jazz popular music eccetera eccetera.......very inspire musician, for those guitarrist in any style anyway......
3 of the all time great string masters. I understand that the great Aladar Pege is no longer with us.
Fantastic play .
Aladar is a real (!) Professor and teaches students in bass playing....Regards
@kapitanswing hey friend thanks for all the good stuff..... you definitely know what music is...
WOW! Real music played by real musicians instead of the over marketed fashion model wannabees that are jammed down our throats by music producers.
david
cool ; )
9.39 minutes dying
2:42 what?
sorry you had to cut that, but UA-cam has never given me that problem.
Isn't this Black Orpheus?
thats the movie it was from but they are the same peice yes
Bireli is beyond stunning. Coryell is also great. He chose wisely not to try to match Bireli's virtuosity, because that would be an impossible feat. So he stayed close to the bare bones, giving us beautiful lyrical solo.
A ijet nincs virsli bantyank nem semi
Bocsánat nem virslit akartam csak már rahangolotam a zenére birelit akartam irni
These guys play great. Corryell has played in SP Jazz festival many years ago. All virtuosos, but the music sucks! It just go to far from the theme.
