Anxiety Pre-TRT - 'Testosterone vs Cortisol'

  • The premise behind TRT is normalising your male androgen levels for long term physical and psychological well-being. We also want to reverse the negative symptoms that you have presented with! This involves a thorough assessment, analysing your lifestyle, nutrition and physical exercise; alongside addressing possible reversible causes. You should always look to increase your natural testosterone level before committing to what is a lifelong therapy. Here is a guide - themenshealthc....
    To decide if TRT is in your best interests, a formal diagnosis of testosterone deficiency is made following a full diagnostic blood test, along with a second confirmatory test. More information can be found here - themenshealthc....
    If you’ve not had any blood tests to date, we would recommend starting with either the ‘TRT Complete’ or ‘TRT Complete Plus’ blood tests - themenshealthc.... These are both comprehensive blood tests that look at all of your hormone markers, as well as other general health parameters which would highlight any potential reversible causes for your low testosterone. If you would like to go ahead, we can organise a test for you, or you can request them from your GP.
    More details on our consultation and treatment process can be found at the following page of our website - themenshealthc.... This is further summarised here, along with a recommended plan of action depending on your personal circumstances - themenshealthc....

    FYI to anyone considering TRT for anxiety: TRT resolved my anxiety completely. I got hit with anxiety in my 30s, I didn't know what is was before. It's now gone. What Robert says is true on the other side of the fence: I started "abusing" testosterone to get more muscles and when my T shoots off the charts I get really angry at everyone around me. It's a different type of anger than anxiety-typed anger, it's a kick-ass anger. Looking for fights, looking for conflicts. Not good either. So I just aim to keep my T at high normal level, that's my sweet spot: plenty of energy, no racing thoughts, no anxiety, working out like crazy, crazy boners for my wife to enjoy, she doesn't complain either...
    GO AND GET IT!

      The trigger that made me look into my test levels was anxiety. Not "normal" anxiety, but a different kind of anxiety. The type of anxiety that feels like fear. Fear of every day things. Fear of things I've never been afraid of in my life. Fear of anything negative. Complete avoidance of negative things. This, among a few other symptoms, were what pushed me to get my levels checked. Sure enough, they were low. Still on the journey to finding a solution, hoping to start treatment in the next few weeks.

    Lower carbs ( from 40 %).
    All have made me feel amazing.

    • @anthonychadwick3261
      @anthonychadwick3261 2 роки тому +1

      @@johnmoore1495 you want a slight increase in testosterone release in the morning, as this best mimics natural physiology. The Cypionate ester (and all testosterone-esters) releases a constant amount of testosterone proportional to the level of it in your body. Just before your injection, levels will be lower (and testosterone will be cleaved from the Cypionate ester at a slower rate) and just after injection, levels will be higher.
      There’s no delay or timing issues if that’s what you’re suggesting, other than absorption time.

    • @johnmoore1495
      @johnmoore1495 2 роки тому

      @@anthonychadwick3261 you’re not really getting a boost from that shot though due to the cypionate ester, it takes ~24 hours to peak. I haven’t been able to find any data on cypionate (or enanthate) showing how it affects testosterone 4 hours, 8 hours, or 12 hours later. All the studies are done IM as well, so doing Sub-Q is even more delayed timing.
      However by 12 hours I assume there is significant absorption and breakdown of the ester. That’s why I’ve been taking my shot around 7pm, to get that 12-24 hour peak between 7am and 7pm the next day.

    • @anthonychadwick3261
      @anthonychadwick3261 2 роки тому

      @@johnmoore1495 this doesn’t fit with how I understand TRT and esters to work.
      As far as I know, the testosterone-ester is absorbed within hours both intra muscularly and subq, where it adds to the existing concentration of testosterone-ester.
      The testosterone released daily will be a small fraction of the testosterone-ester passing through the liver and getting cleaved into testosterone and the ester. The amount of testosterone released is the amount that is cleaved from the ester which is proportional to the level of testosterone-ester in the blood.

Still love to train but overtrain super easy now , cortisol is high -22 , total T is normal 650 ,estradiol is ok at 25 , fsh is 8.3 and LH is 5.2 tsh is 2.5 so all are normal . But problem is I can’t gain any muscle mass and only seem to gain fat stomach fat ( yet I’m not reallly fat I’m 179 @ 12% bf but I’m trying to get bigger without juicing again ! My shbg is high 87 , estrone is med at 38 , progesterone is high at .8 , free T is really low at 5.9 , cholesterol is high at 222 yet I eat pretty clean and albumin is at 5.0 …
    Contacted old trt doc and said he want me back on T injections and add Danzol but this doesn’t adress the issue . Please help me try to narrow down what’s really going on . Lots of trt docs don’t wanna fix the issue just add drugs to mask the problem 🙏🏻
