There is a screw on the side for a counter balance. Which is the best one to get for an iPhone 8? I know it's only really needed for larger phones, but the iPhone 8 appears off centre when avoiding clamping against the iPhone's volume buttons. And it would be nice to prevent stress on the motors and battery.
Hello, I wanted to ask a question, I have bought an osmo mobile 3 for about 5 days, I have been testing it and there is a function that it does not perform, and that is to block the movement with the back button, leaving it pressed, the phone rotates everywhere and does not is fixed, is this a hardware or software failure?
This is what worked for me. I had to take the case off of my phone. It was impossible with it. The grip adjustments that hold the phone need to be adjusted properly to get it to tilt correctly facing you.
Just bought one of these brand new and it won't work, I've got a yellow blinking light and its failing to update firmware. I've tried 3 different phones and it's the same people everytime no movement or response ect.

If the issue persists, please provide a video of the issue for us to check further. You may send it to us via email support@dji.com.
When will you release an update to correct the Unbalance issue? I, as well as many others have been complaining for months that the horizontal balance is not level. It's always slight off the horizontal plane I efuse to accept that this Known Issue is not being addressed.
Hi Brandon, could you please try to calibrate the gimbal and try to go to the Gimbal Settings and adjust the Fine Tuning? If the issue persists, please try to provide a video and if there is any operation to the gimbal before the horizontal balance is not level. Thank you.
IS DJI paying attention to these comments? Why bother posting this (useless) "instruction" if you have no interest in your user's issues actually using it. I have the device standing here on its tripod in the same opening position as the video. "rotate the phone holder keeping the dji logo on the phone holder facing forwards." WTF? The video shows the logo facing ME, not forwards. - But the craziness does not stop there. I cannot rotate anything to any position so as to show the logo RIGHT SIDE UP. The stops prevent that. I am unable to reproduce what appears to be a simple rotation of the device as the video shows. What is this video not showing or not saying that allows the demo to do that?
Hi Joe, sorry to hear about the difficulties that you encountered. Please try to rotate the bracket through a "click" and get the bracket aligned with "DJI" up. If the problem is still not resolved, please feel free to contact us via www.dji.com/support.
I've watched this video at least 12 times. When the phone is 'balanced' horizontally it is tilted toward the desk. When rotate to the vertical position, the adjustment made to the back of the arm does not hold. What's the secret? Serious been working on balance for nearly 2 and 1/2 hours.
I was just having the same problems. The "MIMO" app has to be installed on the phone, bluetooth enabled, and the Osmo Mobile 3 slaved to the phone. See www.dji.com/support/product/osmo-mobile-3 1[Osmo Action] How to activate the new Osmo Action for the first time? (1) Download the DJI Mimo App from the app store. (2) Run the Mimo App, click the camera button in the upper left corner, press the prompt to open Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, select the corresponding Wi-Fi name, and click to connect the phone. (3) Connect to the DJI Mimo App, and the display device needs to be activated. (4) Complete the activation process according to the App prompt.
Please, can you tell me why wouldn't you just sell the osmo (non-kit) with the tripod? I mean I just bought it but can't use it. The fuck?!! Now I must look for the tripod somewhere. So, user experience points down, out of the box without tripod it's useless. So disappointing.
Hi there, please tell us the details including the mobile device you are using and a video of the issue for further confirmation, you can contact us at www.dji.com/support.
The world’s most rushed tutorial, almost as if trying to hide things. It makes it seem easy but in reality the unfolding and calibrating of the combo is anything but. I have my Osmo X3 (non mobile) away because the fan noise was excruciating. I hoped the Mobile version would be better. Note to DJI: you make things look fancy and easy but they’re not.
So I love the lamp mobile 3 but for some reason it does not have "roll adjustment" you can only do the auto calibration. Problem with that is that for some reason my phone is slightly tiled to the left. I tried everything from shifting the phone more to the right to compensate but it still does it. Very hard to use this in any sore of professional shooting. If you guys can give me any tips on how to fix this it would be great. Thanks
I was seriously thinking about getting one of these until I saw that 60fps isn't supported in the DJI Mimo app for the Samsung Galaxy S9. And with over 1000 reviews for the app and an average rating of 2.8, that puts me right off!
Just to let you know, this doesn't work with the Apple SE. The grip doesn't grip it enough! It falls out! So, it's back for a refund. Oh, and the fact that I could not even register it on the iPhone. I could not get past registration.
Guillermo Roman balance the phone to the gimbal then calibrate the gimbal with the phone attached with the app. I do this with a heavy iPhone 11 Pro Max and end up with a level gimbal.
I spent hours watching this tutorial and others, unable to balance my iPhone 10 in an Otter case. The reviews I read said the Osmo Mobile 3 can be used with a case. (A major requirement for this purchase.) When I removed the case, balancing was easy. I am petrified to remove the case because I drop the phone constantly. I am sure even removing my phone in and out of its case spells disaster with my fumble fingers. I am disappointed that adjusting the balance before turning on this device is impossible with my Otter case. With the phone is its case & positioned best I can, when I turn on the Osmo, the phone does go into a balanced position. However, soon the zoom doesn't function correctly and other various things can go wacky, and I am constantly having to re-center my phone. This greatly limits the Osmo's use. The only advantage for me is the elimination of camera jiggle. Just a straight video with restricted camera movement seems to be the least frustrating use (unless I remove the case). Since this tutorial doesn't mention phones in cases, I hope this has helped some of you.
Having the same issue here... I refuse to take the case off my phone, I'm WAY too clumsy and my phone is worth much more than the Gimbal device. Wish there was an alternative clamp option.
Does anybody else have the same problem that I have? It has to do with clicking noises that are made during recording that I can hear when I playback videos. I've used the OM2 before upgrading to OM3 and I've never had that issue. I'm not sure if it's the microphone picking up any gear movement from the gimbal. If anyone has had the same issue or knows how to fix it, please let me know.
can kindly make an OM 5 gimbal calibration and Gimbal balancing video too?

@@plymakkayestudio1827 Sorry that we do not have the tutorial video about the counterweight since we do not have it for sale in our official online store, you can simply screw the counterweight to the Screw Hole on the ruight sides of the Phone Holder.
If you have iPhone 11 pro max this won’t work at all.
It worked on smaller devices
Regretted buying it
Hi Abdullah, iPhone 11 Pro Max is the compatibility mobile device. May I know if you encounter any issue with using the OSMO Mobile 3? Please contact our support for a further help www.dji.com/support
The dji mimo can't recording sound with external mic??
Hi Andre, the external microphone cannot connect to the Osmo Mobile 3 directly. But there is no limitation of the software or hardware in the Osmo Mobile 3. So this function depends on the compatibility of your mobile phone and the microphone.
mi osmo mobile 3 se desbalancea a cada rato, siempre está inclinado hacia abajo (tilt) y se calienta el motor. Necesito devolverlo, no funciona según lo promocionado en sus videos. Gracias.
Aw ang astig nman nyan 😮
Will it be compatable with Filmic pro?
Hi, Osmo Mobile 3 doesn't support Filmic Pro at the moment, but we will take it into consideration in the future development, please note the update, thanks for your feedback.
DJI Tutorials please do. Because i used the osmo mobile 2 with filmic pro and it’s nice. And if you do the support on mobile 3. I’ll buy it right away 👍🏼👍🏼
@@DJITutorials That's a serious drawback whereas most people want to use Filmic Pro.
yeah thats a pretty bad situation.. im considering returning mine..
Sometime its vibrate I don't know y
Is it’s balanced horizontally it’s don’t vertically 😢😅

Do I have to remove my phone case?
It will be better to remove the phone case to balance.
I always leave the case on. It’s not perfectly balanced but still works great.
@@DJITutorials Some iPhones like the iPhone SE it is best to keep a case on when fitting & balancing the iPhone as the fone is slim & won't grip well ?
Very cool. Hope it works well.
I am not able to balance with my oneplus 7t 😫😫 plz help...
Hi Jay, could you please tell us the details about the balance issue you encountered? If it is convenient, please provice a video of the case to us so we can confirm further. You may keep us updated via Facebook Messenger: bit.ly/2pm7tfV

@@DJITutorials Yes, I got perfect balance between oneplus 7t and dji osmo mobile 3.
@@RunJayRunn It's pleasing to hear that, enjoy your time!
For anyone having trouble balancing the OSMO 3 to start with - here's a more detailed video. Also it sounds like you need the MIMO app working for this to balance. And hold the Arm I think.

Anyone got left drifting?
My Osmo 3 does not work, imbalances immediately, the stabilization motor trips and overheats. New object and repair is not activated. Bad purchase.
Hi there, sorry for that case happened. Please kindly contact our support at the link below to open a case and send it in for service, we'll do our best to help this out. www.dji.com/support
Hi
What’s the songs name ?
So I spent already an hour trying to balance it and nothing
Can anyone actually explain what to do
Cz it’s seems not possible 😢
Not enough information!
My gimbal isn't working
DJI app say ..."motor protected , please resume "
Someone pls help
Hi, just to verify, is there any damage that happened to the gimbal? Please try to restart the gimbal, make sure that you power it on after unfolding it, and calibrate the gimbal.
Thank you.
Great
IS DJI paying attention to these comments?
My phone is balanced but when I let go the phone falls towards me
same
@@lisatraversohuber8681 I actually found out you have to down load the app for it to balance your phone
See www.dji.com/support/product/osmo-mobile-3
1[Osmo Action] How to activate the new Osmo Action for the first time?
(1) Download the DJI Mimo App from the app store.
(2) Run the Mimo App, click the camera button in the upper left corner, press the prompt to open Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, select the corresponding Wi-Fi name, and click to connect the phone.
(3) Connect to the DJI Mimo App, and the display device needs to be activated.
(4) Complete the activation process according to the App prompt.
did you figure it out?
@@techsquirrel That was both helpful and useless at the same time
I still have NO clue. So frustrating. Too fast. Photos and narrative would be better. DO OVER!
Please, can you tell me why wouldn't you just sell the osmo (non-kit) with the tripod? I mean I just bought it but can't use it. The fuck?!! Now I must look for the tripod somewhere. So, user experience points down, out of the box without tripod it's useless. So disappointing.
This not helpful phone either looks at floor or up
Hi there, please tell us the details including the mobile device you are using and a video of the issue for further confirmation, you can contact us at www.dji.com/support.

Yes :)
Thanks
This video is way too fast for the first time user!
Huh?
I was seriously thinking about getting one of these until I saw that 60fps isn't supported in the DJI Mimo app for the Samsung Galaxy S9. And with over 1000 reviews for the app and an average rating of 2.8, that puts me right off!
Endpoint101 That sucks.. I’m using the iPhone 11 Pro and thankfully you get 60fps. You may get it in a future update?
Just to let you know, this doesn't work with the Apple SE. The grip doesn't grip it enough! It falls out! So, it's back for a refund. Oh, and the fact that I could not even register it on the iPhone. I could not get past registration.
Typical crap manufacturers instructions.
horrible video, gimbal is tilted when shooting video
Hi there, sorry for the inconvenience. Should there anything we can assist you with, please feel free to contact us via www.dji.com/support.
