We stayed there last year and the food was absolutely amazing. The environment was so relaxing, especially the garden with the Koi. I had the best and deepest sleep of my life there
I went to Minobu and stayed in two temple stays there. It was one of the best experiences of my life. The energy in that place is so special. Also incredible food and people and the temples and gardens are amazing
My friends and I stumbled onto this town unexpectedly. We were silent nearly the entire time- totally unlike us. Healing and peaceful environment. We had the hotou noodle soup..best in Japan 🇯🇵
Nice introduction to the Minobu, Yamanashi and the shojin ryori in Kakurinbo looking very interesting compared to what I had in my stay in Koyasan shukubo recently.
Visited that location years ago. It really wasn't well known by tourists so not crowded with foreigners even if it was close to the obon festival at that time.
Finding enlightenment may not be easy, but it seems like stairs are always part of the journey. The more stairs you climb, the more enlightened you will be. I am only being lighthearted. The plum beer looks delicious. I really enjoyed the the video specially that we can find Mexican flavors in some tradicional Japanese Buddhist dishes. 😄😉
Hi Shizuka fan of yours since Best Ever Food Review Show episodes, i have a suggestion please tell your editors keep the videos as it is they make this warm edit and making it look like colors faded. Japan has lush greenery and colors everywhere so we don't need to be extra cinematic with additional colors this video for particular, some touch up is good but not this warm look. thanks regards.
it looks very beautiful there, I'm inspired to climb those steps and try those veggies, would have loved to join in with you guys at the festival and feel the music, speaking of which, the DJ for this video is on point, lol, so many more scenes I want to see, I will have to start this wonderful journey soon
Thank you for the scenic tour of Minobu, Yamanashi Shizuka! How did you walk up the stairs in your heels Shizuka? I should nickname you Wonder Woman! 😊
Man, now I want to give that bell ringing a try now! 😆 This place feels like that type of setting you want to stay during the weekend after a stressful week at work.
9:59. How you just appear with that drink! Wow! 11:16 You are so gorgeous here. Shizuka, what is up with those Mexican beans!? You got to show me please!😆
It looks so fascinating seeing it, I bet by being there you can feel the vibes of those places of enlightenment, but, on some parts of video, the music dosen't really fit so good with the scenario(but the dedicationis well appreciated, thankyou😊) besides that, always happy to see Shizuka and her adventures 😊😁 I bet those places look amazing in the middle of summer ☀️
No mention of it's connection to the anime "Yuru Camp"....🙁..And if you want to real climb..try "Shakain Misaka Promenade" in Misato-cho in Kumamoto.....If I recall there is a guy who climbs the steps a number of times a day..all 3,333 of them.
Wait he carried his elderly mother up 200 something stairs. Then worked as a fisherman to buy stairs? Is this like Japan saying “why’d you nuke us?” While the USA goes “why’d you give us peace medals then attack us like cowards? At least we declared war before the boom booms.”. I love Japanese food. It’s my bucket list place to go, but my aging parents want to go to Scotland and England so that’s where we’re going. Ohhhh, ok maybe I now understand why he carried his elderly mother up stairs then bought stairs…. Actually no I still don’t get that.
20 minute video! I’m here for it
Enjoy!

Shizuka, another great tour of Japans hidden gems....you and the rest of JbF cast and crew should be the Culinary Ambassadors of Japan.
Thank you, that's very kind!

Fantastic! Have a great time!

I went to Koyasan many years ago. I hope you took a walk in the cemetary there at night. Surprisingly serene.
Koyasan might be a bit more traditional when it comes to food, in Minobu, they experience which is why the taste is mode modern!
9:59 Oh hayyy gurrl

Visited that location years ago. It really wasn't well known by tourists so not crowded with foreigners even if it was close to the obon festival at that time.
It is quite an unexplored area but we love it!
Fantastic video. It looked amazing up there. My favorite places are where there isn't a lot of people. Quiet and cozy. Thank you for sharing :)
We feel the same! it was once in a lifetime experience!

Stairs are a must! The dishes were truly amazing!

Any regular hotels?
Natto may be a challenge to eat for some but it has a great nutritional profile for bioactive compounds, probiotic potential, and health benefits.
Exactly, and this natty tasted heavenly!
Hi Shizzy
:) Hello there!
i love Shizuoka 😍
Missed an opportunity for an Anime in Real Life episode featuring Yuru Camp locations around Minobu.
I want ro come here! Is it difficult to reach from fujigoko?
You will be going around the Fuji, so it might take a few hours but it is worth it!
I'm curious, from all this different food videos, did you ever tried to cook some of them, and if yes, what's your favorite ? 😊 thank you
I don't think she tried to cook some of them..😅
You know what, I'm going to make some of that Tomato Soup, it will be my first time but anyone is welcome to try
It was delish!
I only know about Minobu from Yuru Camp. LOL.
Now you know more:P
No mention of it's connection to the anime "Yuru Camp"....🙁..And if you want to real climb..try "Shakain Misaka Promenade" in Misato-cho in Kumamoto.....If I recall there is a guy who climbs the steps a number of times a day..all 3,333 of them.
Harajuku is interesting but this is more my speed. Intrigued by the Mexican food
Glad you enjoyed!
Wow, that head monk Zeko is hot..
Word.
Plot twist: they had a Mexican chef. Lol. I kid, I kid.
Fantastic video as always. Cheers.
Who knows! 😂 thanks a lot for watching!

I've played Ghost of Tsushima several times so I can relate. lol jk.. probably the closest I'll ever be. Great video & content! & SUB'D
Thanks for the support!
Wont be a secret for very long.
I can't deal with the Coachella Ritz Carleton vibe of this experience. It seems so ruined.
