Cool video and informative! Never been to the Nring and a trip for me would need to include airline tickets and lots of shopping trips for my wife ;) But it’s great you do trips with your friends, it sounds like a lot of fun.

Sounds like one saves up for the trip and don't be doing any off road stints. Thanks for sharing and if I get to go to Europe I'll have to go there too.

You'll have a hard time fitting your car in a Eurostar train 🙂Plus, you might end up in Paris haha. Better to book with Eurotunnel Le Shuttle. Very informational vid other wise of course!!

Just to highlight a few things. Granted your looking at next Junes dates now. The public tourist dates are not out yet till end of the year and so most hotels / guest houses actually haven't put dates up yet so your looking at a very small amount of places. Always wait for the calendar to come out. Factor in June next year N24 the 24hr race that will increase costs ALOT. The big thing you also need is your car documents and insurance - Actually documents and leave them in the car. IF you get stopped and don't have them they can take the car. Insurance is tricky. Basically anyone in the UK has NO cover. You can get cover for a little bit of barrier but the excess makes it pointless & the big one there is no 3rd party, You take out that 911 gt3RS as he his your oil your paying for it. Then you have to fix your own car on top. German companies and a lot of Europe are also removing it now so the only way to be fully covered is to use a rental car from a dedicated company which will have an excess.

Nice video Joe. Very interesting. This is probably a journey I'll never make, but my son really wants to. He made it all the way to Germany from the US on an exchange student program, but no way were they going to let the kids drive a car, let alone on the Nurburgring.

Same the other way for us. Road Atlanta and Laguna Seca for example

Theres plenty of rental car companies that have modified cars for the track, as in semi slick tyres, proper brakes and so on. Although depending on how many laps youre planning to drive, costs can add up.

Straight off the website. Granted the barriers are for triple ones but still. Most of the corners are triple height.
