Another great video. I have standardised my couplings but have gone for the Kadee no 5s (and variations). I know they are a bit overscale but at the moment there is only one size of 158 which sadly doesn't suit all the variables.
Thank you! After I'd filmed I swapped the couplings on all the stock on the layout for 148s or 5s, so hopefully everything will work properly now. I'm toying with cutting off the magnetic pins.
@thebritishrailroader I will probably do the same. My original plan was to be completely hands free, but I found I enjoyed manual uncoupling so I didn't go with it in the end.
@jimbarrett1975 I am the same. I even started with manual points but I have decided to retrofit them with dcc Controlled point motors. I have done 3 of the 6 and am pleased with the results
@@thebritishrailroader I have the DCC Concepts Cobalt motors - I'm really happy with them. I've always wanted a layout with point motors, and now I have one!

@@jimbarrett1975 I cut off all the pins as standard as I don't use them magnetically
