Great video! I have the same trailer and just restored mine after watching yours movie. My 3 year old had a blast hammering in the carriage bolts. He is still wondering why we painted it black and not “ black and decker”
Nice to have hubcaps on those trailers...I put the same Buick caps on my 18 foot trailer. Have you had probs scraping your brake lights off the end of the trailer? When my trailer has lights mounted on the fenders I place them as far back as possible. You can see them better in that location...when you’re behind a trailer that is. Good job. ✌️
Nice video. I would've replaced the decking to match the new sideboards and treat all the new wood before installing with Rain Guard 1 gallon for $12.57. I have seen other videos where plywood was used but that option was really ugly!
That's a lot of work. I made a liner that does the same job but takes a couple of minutes to put in or take off. If you would like check it out on my youtube channel.
beautiful trailer. Well-built and worth over $3K to replace in '23.
good job!.. also want to add kudos for dad!, Parenting done right!
Awesome job and little guy did a great job helping as well.
Awsome job looks great glad to see you had your helper on the job too stay safe
I just bought a brand new 35SA and it is almost identical to your 14 year old trailer, so it must be a good design that hasn't needed much upgrading!
Good man for letting son pitch in. I like that a lot.
Fun video to watch! Thanks for taking the time to make this video I appreciate it a lot
You had a good helper!
Just get a set of bearing buddies for it, I run them on my Carry On 5x8, got 12" wheels and it's pulled 150 miles weekly.
that was cool to see you having your son helping

You have a good little helper.
Thumbs up! "Tap, tap, tap, tap! Good little attitude.
Great experience with the kid tons of fun !!
You had me right up until you put the hubcaps on it. Lose the hubcaps.
Great video!

When I had the lights down low I wad hitting them on the ground all the time so I moved them up to the fenders
Bear in mind that the hubcaps have cutouts where the valve stems go through! ;-)
They do but the valve stems on these wheels are short and don't protrude through the cutouts in the hubcaps
Looks good!
Awesome man. Can I ask what you give for the trailer when it was new?
Irs been so long I don't remember

Great video, can you tell me if the ramp is removable on these Big Tex trailers?
It is removable
What does the 741 stand for??? And yes you did have a very good that's the way you teach them young and responsibility!!!!
Thanks! It's a long story but 741 is sort of a tribute to my late father.
Try reversing the cupped board so the washer can fit.
Better take the jack all the way up homie
Yep - gotta remember to do that
I have driven away and forgot to lift the front leg also... 😀😉.
What size boards did you use? Nice clear and informative video
I used deck boards from home Depot...they should be 1.25 inch thick(5/4) by 6" wide by 10' long
14yr old tires? they might look good BUT tires rot from the inside out
You stopped the video at 1:27, because you forgot to pull the Jack up.
Good eye .... I was waiting for someone to notice
@@SevenFortyOne I hope I didn't damage it.
No...it just barley hit...wasn't the fist time I've done that and probably won't be the last...
What size drill bits an bolts?
I don't remember, sorry. The bolts may have been 3/8" diameter and the drill may have been 1/2" but I'm not sure of that.
Where'd the 741 come from?
Long story but its a tribute to my dad
Wheel looks much better without those hideous 1960 hubcaps
Nice editing so it doesn't show you raising the trailer jack TOO LATE!
lol at hubcaps

You need longer bolts with stop nuts
You forgot to bring up the front Jack and bottomed out pay attention buddy
