Seems like you’re competent man. Chasing down an issue can be simple or mind bending. Fuel, spark, air, compression and sometimes just a aud hunch. Great deductive reasoning.⚙️🚲⚙️
Moterbike Mike here. I have the same head .I took it and rubbed it along some 120grit sandpaper for about 3or4 minutes and it seals much better.Hope it helps you.Ride on bro
Hey any hints of what my bike has so I struggle to start it it starts but like for 5 to 10 seconds and it shuts off even if I accelerate if you have any tips lmk!
It could be a couple of things, first I would drop the bowl of the carb and clean it out. Couldn’t hurt. Then check the wiring, make sure there are strong connections. And then replace the spark plug, sometimes I have that problem and replacing the spark plug is what fixes it. If none of that works, try the fuel test. Where your disconnect the fuel line to the carb, and turn on the fuel and make sure a steady stream comes out. Then you could take off the air filter to make sure it’s clean. And if all that doesn’t help, it might be your motor. Lack of compression, the smallest hole in the engine (I’ve done this by tightening a bolt too much, and put a thing fracture in the case causing an air leak). But anyway, best of luck to you and hopefully it’s an easy fix.
I just got the same kit, was wondering if you had the same problem I have, to ride & start or kick start is unbelievably hard to pedal, seems like there's to much tension, is it the clutch I should loosen?
It will definitely be harder to ride than when there is no motor. But I just like to get going a good speed, and then let the clutch out to spin the motor a bit. And then push in the clutch again to regain speed if the motor didn’t start the first time. But if it’s so hard to ride even with the clutch disengaged, it might be that your chain is too tight.
Looks like the fuel filter is on backwards. I know fuel will flow in either direction, but the filter works best when installed the correct way. Fuel is supposed to flow into the outer chamber, through the opened pleats of the filter-paper and into the inner (center) of the filter and out the exit tube. This will do a better job of catching particles without restricting the flow of fuel.
If I had a dollar for every single time I forgot to turn-on the gas, and then started trouble shooting it, I could probably pay for a complete motorized-bike, lol, you said you wanted to make it as reliable as possible, that clutch-cable don't look very secure too me, great video, and thanks for sharing.
Yesterday, I had to shut my bike off to let some people pass and I couldn't start it, weird I thought since my bike starts with ease, couldn't figure it out, started walking and leg power the bike home and a mile in from about 8 miles home I realized somehow the automatic choke got pressed down blocking air flow and for some reason it doesn't pop back up when I pull throttle back (It's okay I don't really need that option) First time for everything, I knocked it open and the bike fired right up! Silly mistakes happen!!
I was going to get one of those bike tents from Amazon but I decided against it. I'm putting a ported cylinder on my zeda 80 and I'm thinking about installing a windowed piston and reed valve since it's already going to be apart but I don't know. I've never messed around with those other carbs. I know personally that the NT carburetor is good for over 50 mph. I have jets that range up to 90
The tent was the worst decision ever. Keeps falling over. But the big carb just sounds so cool! Glad I went this way. But I understand using the NT carb.
Not the dumbest. Second build. Rewired the ignition and got the wires reversed. Went thru everything. Finally had it on a stand and was using a makeshift hand starter that was basically a cordless drill and an adapter right on the magneto. Accidentally he ad the drill going the wrong direction and it fired right up.... Motor was running backwards. 1 cyl. Doesn't care which direction, as long as advance from TDC is right. Talk about scratching your head. LOL. So don't feel too bad.
For me, the problem was that z4c spark plug that came standard in my kit was a piece of shit so my brother and his friend who is a mechanic said to change the spark plug, so i got a autolite and it started right up.
Yea, spark plugs can be a very touchy subject. Some say to run autolite, others say NGK but one thing I can agree on is that the plugs that come with it are absolute trash. Every one of my new kits gets a NGK on first start.
Yeah I know, I’ve been monitoring the temperature to make sure it doesn’t get too hot. And when we ride, we like to take breaks and let the engines cool. As for the white wire, I just cut it and put some tape around it.
Hey bro yesterday I was riding on the road with my buddies they were on pit bikes I was on the 2 stroke and I was on a bridge and all the sudden my bike lost all power I had to walk it home 4 miles got tried to start it the whole way home troubleshooting it as I went I had tools on me and nothing worked I came to a conclusion my engine was blown some way but I got it home took off the carb exhaust and all the wiring did it all back together and it fired up so I’m tryna figure out what fixed it cause I didn’t clean the carb and my carb is maxed all the way out on the needle clip
Worst issue I've had besides now weak yellow spark was the wiring was backwards making my replacement CDI and magneto have no spark replaced again thinking I had a dud and eventually reversed wires and got a spark albeit weak one. Neither spark plug that came with the replacements fit the engine and both were radically different too. I swear they just package whatever garbage plug they have laying around with the replacements who cares if it is actually for the bike. At least they were too small and way too big rather than right diameter but too long threads which would cause the piston to smash into the electrode.
Don't mess around with a stuck throttle, if you're not sure how to fix it! Many things can make the motor run at high speed. Seek assistance from a person who knows of your needs for example, an adult, possibly, if at all possible like, your dad! If you have a shop near you, then speak to them, and it would be a good idea to get a new one (upgraded) but be sure to do your research before you purchase one (throttle cable). try to familiarize yourself, there is a lot of information about the problem you are experiencing on UA-cam about how to fix the issue with your bike. And Remember that a throttle that sticks, is very dangerous! But don't be discouraged by this. You can enjoy riding again. Good that you reach out to others who are willing to help you out!!!😊
Where did you buy that exaust tip add on?

Might have to try this in the future, went with an aftermarket head. But thanks for the info!
Your bike is clean

did you greese your ball hearing and buckeleibg bar i see your ideling i gotta install mine wish me luck
Yep I forget sometimes. So I keep like 5 spares on hand so I can just replace if I need to. They are so cheap so why not.
Mistakes are how we learn, don't feel bad

Those bike look nice good build for sure

Can someone help fix my bike idk why it wont start im not good at mechanics

Your white wire is clamped to frame. If it grounds it will kill your spark. Also bag is restricting cooling air to motor

Whenever I need to check for spark I just put my finger on it and push it lol it doesn't hurt that bad just a tingle lol
Nice bike
And also bro I have the same exhaust and muffler as you and my muffler has completely quit working like my bike sounds straight piped again
Worst issue I've had besides now weak yellow spark was the wiring was backwards making my replacement CDI and magneto have no spark replaced again thinking I had a dud and eventually reversed wires and got a spark albeit weak one. "Go ahead and..." seriously bud, you've got a real tic there...
where is the float to the carburetor
In the bottom bowl of the carb, take out those 4 screws and drop the bowl and there she be. careful you don’t loose the pin the float is connected to.
Fuel filter is wrong goes the other way .😂
It will still run that way. The only reason to turn it the other way is so you can see if it's dirty. His way, the dirt is not visible.
@@mountainrun lol
Can some one help
