@@Streckersmotorizedbicycles that’s great to hear!
Mine has been sitting for a long time ..this really helps. I had to get a new break lever and I ordered a new throttle the old one broke. I'm taking it a little step at a time to see if it still works..
Glad to hear hope it runs again
Your videos are super helpful, my kit from amazon wouldn't start so sort of gave up on it and got one from another bbrand which runs alright, but it turns out the cdi wires and the magnet were backwards on my amazon kit and after swapping those it fired right up, not even broken in and running better than the one i probably over paid for, but now i have 2 motorized bikes 🤙 thanks
Thanks
My spark plug gets wet & rings are good and gaskets
Bro really gotta 80cc sportster...lol😂😂😂🎉❤🎉 I love it!...
A single basic cheap paper plate works great as a shim around the coil magnet to position the coil and have an even gap. It takes two layers of paper so cut out two 1" strips of paper plate the circumfrence of the magnet and wrap them around it then tighten the coil screws and remove the paper and its spaced correctly. Also helps keep it from sticking to the magnet during install.
Anything like that works fine
I always carry a toolkit with the tools i need, 10mm spanner, 5mm allen key, pump, etc etc, but also a small syringe, this is most useful, u can at any moment draw up some petrol from the tank, squirt it into the carb, direct injection, starts her straight up.
Nice bro that’s a really good idea. I was inspired to make this video when I was out riding my bike and I came to a stop and pulled the clutch in and the motor shut off. I kept trying to get it going again but it wouldn’t start. That’s when I realized that the plug was starting to foul out.
@@keeganhache6667 many syringes have rubber rings that wont tolerate petrol kn them, the syringes i have a all hard plastic, so they dont fail.
That's what my bike did ..came to a stop but I couldn't get it started again had to pedal it to work .shen I got off it was freezing cold out and still wouldn't start.i need it to run so I can get to work .so I'll try your tape and hopefully get it to start.thanks
Mine isn't the plug falling out
Great video!! What might you use if the carburetor port is loose even when tightened to the max?? Thanks
@@fatherforgiveus5472 build it up with electrical tape or use a O ring
Typically 2 stroke engines don’t use a float-bowl carburetor. I know, i know, all the 2 stroke dirtbikes did…i’m aware. But there’s way more chainsaws and weedeaters than bikes. It works, yes, but that floated carb must be as level as possible or you’re only sucking air.
Find a chainsaw close to your engine displacement and use that carb.
Then you can run your engine upside down if you want.
Why does this matter?
Because when you don’t have air bubbles from gas shaking in a float bowl when riding over bumps, you have constant pulling power.
Good point will try one for sure man
Been watching some good videos on this topic. You also get the ability to tune on the fly, no jets just screws
thank you my problem was with the carb jet
Glad I could help
Y'know, been dealing with this crazy problem on my bike. It just won't start despite having spark. I've dedicated two years now to unraveling this mystery, each day feeling like a hot desert journey, with every step weighed down by the burden of uncertainty, as I exhaustively explore every conceivable factor that might be at fault. I've checked the CDI, tested current flow with a multimeter, and even replaced the magneto coil again. And let's not forget about the brand new spark plugs I put in. Doesn't seem to work though. What am I missing? The bike still ain't moving, so I'm really at a loss here. It's starting to drive me disappointed, to be honest. I mean, I rely on my motorized bike so much, and not being able to get it started is really frustrating. I've tried everything I can think of while going over everything in my brain, trying to think of what else I could try. But no matter how hard I think, I just can't seem to come up with anything. It's like I'm playing a game of "Find the Issue," and so far, I'm losing! I guess I'll just have to keep trying until something works. But until then, I'm stuck with a bike that just won't start, no matter what I do. So, after a lot of troubleshooting, I finally managed to confirm the presence of spark in my bike's ignition system. It's definitely a step in the right direction, but it's not quite the victory dance moment I was hoping for. Even though I couldn't see any spark, I accidentally touched the exposed engine while riding, and there it was, just hiding out. Here's the weird thing: it still won't start. It's like I'm playing a game of "Find the Issue," and so far, I'm still losing! I've spent what feels like eons checking every little thing in the electrical system. From testing the CDI to poking around with a multimeter to swapping out the magneto coil and slapping in fresh spark plugs, I've left no stone unturned. But despite all that, this motorized bike is playing hard to get, and I'm left scratching my head. The disappointment is real, especially considering how much I rely on my bikes. Not being able to count on it for my daily commute is more than just a minor inconvenience. It's like having your trusty sidekick bail on you when you need them the most. And then there's that pesky squeaking sound the engine makes while I'm riding. Is it related to the starting issue, or is it something else entirely? It's just another piece of the puzzle that I'll need to figure out. Don't worry, I'm not just giving up yet. Whether it's diving back into troubleshooting or seeking out some sage advice from fellow bike enthusiasts, I'm determined to crack this nut. Until then, I'll keep figuring out, hopeful that I'll stumble upon the solution sooner rather than later.
Does it have gas?

Mine won't start and it's got spark compression and fuel 😂
Try replacing the magnet some are weak and don't provide enough spark to actually run
You mean the magnito coil? @@glenflaugher7365
Awesome job thank you 😊
No worries
great video
Thank you for watching
Hi Keegan, great video and very nice bikes!
So I'm having trouble starting my bike. It does eventually start up, but it takes me anywhere from 5-10 minutes of pedaling it and turning the choke on & off before it starts up... The engine is a brand new 80cc stock with an NT Carb and no aftermarket parts. The spark plug is gapped at 25thousandth.
When it does finally start up it runs strong at high rpm but sometimes stalls out at low rpm. I pulled the carb and made sure it was clean. And the spark plug has a good carmel color to it and I have it gapped at 25/1000.
So, what do you think is the problem why it takes so long to start up? Anyone having the same issue with their bike??.. Please help..😢.. Thank you so much.
You might have a air leak spray around the engine with brake clean or something to see if the revs pick up
👌
hey man, good info,, i wanna get one of those style pipes eventually,, does it get super close to your leg? or do you burn yourself at all?
It’s honestly never gave me a problem. Once you get used to it you subconsciously keep your leg away from the expansion chamber while riding the bike. The expansion chamber part does not get that warm the only part that gets hot is the header. As far as performance it is one of the best Bolt on upgrades
@@keeganhache6667 awesome, thanks for the info
👍🏻good info. Gonna try all this
Good luck man hope you get it running again!
Hey man I have a question my bike was riding just fine I got it home from work I'll put it up in the garage the next morning when I come outside there was a puddle of gas under it I tried to start it and it was blowing compression back through the gas tank I change my spark plug drain my tank put a new fuel filter it still won't start do you have any idea
Your float needle is sticking which is causing the gas to leak out the over flow. To fix this take the carb apart and bend the float tabs up
@@keeganhache6667 cool thank you man
If the magnet is on the right way then when it's straight up and down the notch will be at 1 o clock and the filters in the tank are junk
Yes the magnet should be at the 1 o’clock position. The yd100 has 15 degrees to far advanced. I measured it with a degree wheel
@@keeganhache6667 I thought about filing down the key so I could advance it a little bit but I don't think it's worth it. Even with the ported cylinder and high performance head and exhaust these motors still only have 2.5-2.8 HP so how much difference is it actually going to make
@@Westhelockpicker trust me you will notice a difference on how the power hits. It many not make any more hp than what it does now but the power curve will stay for longer and won’t drop off so quickly
@@keeganhache6667 how far do you recommend I advance it? I just put my ported cylinder on about a week ago and I haven't even got to start it yet. It's about 20 degrees where I live and it just snowed so the roads are sloppy as shit. I'm thinking I'm probably going to have to change the jet in the carburetor. I'm still on the factory one and it was already maxed out
Please tell me where i can pick up those blue yamaha fzr parts i want to use those for a new build that looks cool as hell
I made them they were not bought…

Haha thanks man
@@keeganhache6667 yo could that fit most bicycle frames? Would love to buy those parts from you if your able to make them again would love to use it for a build
New motor 100 pexmore only one tank of gas now not starting if it starts runs bad and cuts off could cdi cause that
Yes it could
I have an 80 cc motor never been used . Whenever i try to pedal to get it started it locks up? What should i do
Have you checked how loose your chain is?
Chain lockup or a clutch issue
Yup I fixed it but ended up blowing a piston ring riding..😅had major scoring In the cylinder head so I honed it with 90/120 grit sand paper and a file. After Reassembling and buying new cdi in spark 🔌 darn thing still won't start it turns over but no spark in thinking it maybe the compression🤔but who knows
I can't figure this one out. I can pour gas down the intake. It fires over when I put the card back on. It will not fire over. So a change to my HP card and still won't fire over getting spark but it's acting like it's not drawing the gas from the carb. Checked for a leak can't find one
Send me a pm on messenger
Hi im getting no spark in my spark plug and i just replaced it and my magneto gap is good too
Could be the cdi box
Got my kit 3 days ago it started twice with difficulty, it aint starting again whats wrong?
Plug could be gummed up
hi what is a exact web link to buy a new O-ring for the carb
You can just use a bit of gasket maker
Yo .. can you send me links on whwre you bought yhose yamah parts, thats for a bicycle correct?
Everything was custom made
What about deleting Killswitch ?? Kill switch broke and bike won't start
Where do you get the expansion pipe from? Thanks!
Amazon
Bought a new kit and it don’t work ran once but no spark floods what I do I tried
Ok well if It has no spark I would check the magneto and cdi with a multimeter
Installed a new racing head on my pk80 but its not starting should i run richer or change spark plug gap , bike did sit in cold rain but had it cover might go back to normal head if it doesnt work
Nothing to do with the head it’s probably the carb has water in it
@keeganhache6667 okay , what do you think about a colder spark if it's Still running hot , was thinking about trying it anyway because ima buy new top end kit any way soon maybe its dry now if it had water
I have stock chinese 2t 80cc real 76cc.My top speed betwen 50 a 59km.h i like my mopik.
what if i hold trhe clutch down but the back wheel still wont move?
Not sure what exactly I’d did but I pulled the motor apart and found a small error gear and a bigger gear on the opposite side of the engine from the drive sprocket and after some fiddling it seemed the drive shaft for the drive sprocket and the clutch system sort of lightly seized, it wasn’t terribly hard to break loose and the clutch system worked as it should after that
what is the spark plug gap supposed to be on one of these anyway?
.22-.25
I was wondering I ran my bike and used about half a tank on mostly full throttle with semi synthetic oil when I just got it on my bike is it to late to swap the oil to conventional oil for the next 3 tanks and to go easy on it for those next 3 tanks?
I would never run a bike at full throttle during break in for long periods of time. It can cause the new piston to expand to fast. The non synthetic oils are better for break in. Then move to a higher quality oil.
@@keeganhache6667 alright thanks, and also the top of my piston is amber colored do you know why that is? I ran Lucas before I put a non synthetic in like you said
What will happen if ur exhaust broken off nd muffler in your rode about 4 miles no problem but da next day it won’t start crank or nuffn
It’s probably more then just the exhaust lol
Where can I get the Harley bike decals at
That we custom made at a vinyl shop

I sometimes have problems with mine after starting and running for a while it stalls could that be the spark plug
Yes I have had it many times where the spark plug randomly dies from sitting around try replacing)g that first before diving deeper like I did in this video in most cases it’s the plug or the carb being dirty
thanks for including the part where you need a whole fucjing tool

What cc is that motor
It was originally a 66cc but I installed a 49mm big bore kit which made it a 76.5cc
