The Vegan Revolution and I get questioned about Veganism by a couple of lads in a park in Norwich after I interviewed them about why they eat animal products.

I dont know what it is but when I eat meat I feel really dirty and sick sometimes, I just watched earthlings and I'm going vegan, I'm proud and ready
+Jake Jones it's probably the hormones, saturated fat and cholesterol. Good job. Please accept a virtual vegan fist pump on behalf of the animals 👊🏽 proud to be on the side of justice 🙌✌🏽️
Interesting angle. They really evolved in that short space of time. VR sounded like he'd waited all his life to answer the protein question. If only he had lego. Or JoJo's magnets. LAQ :)
+Vegan Geezer haha he did!! I love the protein question as well. Let me at 'em!!
If VR wants to use JoJo's Lego or magnets he's going to have to go through Patreon it's the only way!!!!
funny..jojos magnets.
Brilliant! You are both so good at this. Much love and respect to you both.
This is amazing! How did you get them to interview you?? :D Really allowed them to make the questions so you found out what their biggest concerns with Veganism were. You answered really well!
+VeganPirateNinja they asked us if they could. They came and found us after we wondered off to find someone else to interview
Banana Warrior Princess That's awesome.
Dear Emma and VR,
I love you both very much.
Love,
your favorite American
+Vegan Hero I can't speak for VR but I love you too :) xxx
Getting tired of this protein argument. How about some maggots? Pound for pound, there is more protein in them than in beef. (Learned that from Bear Grylls show...)
Good interview though- think this might be a perhaps better way to talk to some people about veganism in future videos- By putting the microphone in their hands they obviously feel far more comfortable asking you guys questions about veganism, rather than you asking them questions, which can make some feel they need to be on the defence, so not as open to listening to your points. Great method :D
+evesapple I may well role with this idea, seems to take the defensive peg down a notch or two
That guy with the microphone looks totally disinterested!
Did you give them any resources afterwards or mention any other documentaries like Cowspiracy? They seem like the type of people who would be open minded and positively impacted by those
+George Braithwaite yeah they were very respective to it all
Love this style. You two are a powerful team!
+The Vegan Activist we should do more interviews together
Banana Warrior Princess YES
I actually love the idea of meat eaters interviewing vegans like this. They actually get their questions answered without a bunch of snarky drama from either sides. I wish i could talk to a lot of the anti vegan youtube commenters in person like this. In person people are usually willing to have a conversation about it.
Face Bones yes it's a great format, I think it works here because they have already asked the meat eaters questions so they get past the giggles and silliness
Where did you pick up these guys? :D it is wonderful, the guy in the first t-shirt seemed very distant at first, but he really got involved later 💚
Correction, you both win. EXCELLENT interview!
+Holly Brown Fit thanks Holly :) xx
I can see the information penetrating into their minds!! Very refreshing idea by turning the interview around!! 👍👍
Wonderful interview. This kid would make a damned fine vegan activist when he gets to it. :)
Love this role reversal, and these lads were really good and seem to understand and were open minded. Great interview guys! xx
Hi Lisa!! xxx
I agree with you Emma, the guy with the mic is already vegan at heart and a logical thinker. Really interesting interview technique.
This takes us to a new level. Whoever thought this up is a genius!
What lovely lads, bless them!! xxx
Good job, guys; I like how VR touched on the topic of "bullying"
this is a great idea i like the non vegans doing the intervew
+Queen of the rats yeah they're cool aren't they?
yes those guys were great! so open and ready to listen and question...awesome
You both have such a lovely vibe with them. So calming and welcoming.
+Scarlett Gone Raw we like to make friends with people
Some "food" for thought: If you're ever in that hypothetical situation where you have to eat an animal to survive, I would think that a vegan would consider that just as abhorrent as eating a human -- especially since vegans don't consider animals as "food" or ours to eat. I personally would rather starve and pass on to the next life than descend into such depravity that goes against morals, simply to live a few more days or weeks. And just think, killing and eating an animal would be one of your last acts on earth...! Certainly wouldn't read well on your vegan tombstone.
Now, have some people eaten other people to survive after, say, a plane crash in a blizzard? Yes, but most "meat-eaters" would be too repulsed to do so, as I would hope vegans would also. Besides, if there's animals around, you can probably bet vegetation is available somewhere too.
steve rodriguez Absolutely, sure, grass, why not. I'd rather see the question posed "If you had to eat a human to survive, would you?" Especially since vegans [should] value the lives of humans and animals equally, then why would it be okay to eat animals in "drastic" circumstances but not humans? Both are off limits to me ;)
Personally I would eat the animal, and the person if it meant I would survive. I'm not especially proud of I'm probably just a little to self obsessed to accept death
***** Well, this is just me, but I've fasted for long periods of time so I'm not afraid to go without eating. You stop feeling hungry after awhile. I'm also not afraid to die & am in fact looking forward to the afterlife.
Now in the movie Alive based on a true story, there were people who were starving but chose not to become cannibals, and they lapsed into comas then death pretty quickly. But the ones who ate the flesh had to live with the horror of what they'd done for a long time.
Kind of off topic, but im not really sure if vegans should value the lives of animals exactly equally. Even if the animals can suffer the same as us(meaning its shitty to eat them and cause them harm) were still on completely different levels. Just my opinion, i always see meat eaters getting mad about this type of thing so i just like to try to give a different perspective.
+steve rodriguez I admire your mindset but personally I can say from experience that my survival mode is very different from my normal, ethically minded self. I'm not saying I would just capture and kill wildlife as I'd try to live off vegetation and insect lava but if I wasn't able to consume enough to survive I'd definitely kill animals, although without equipment we are woefully unable to do this.
The way VR explained the field story-- it made me think how money separates us. If animals could exchange coin as man does, it would be a whole different planet. Isn't that sad? Makes me think of that horrid song, "Money makes the world go round." Compassion should be the thing that makes us all spin.
Beautiful!
ben Thompson So speaks the enlightened one.
daddaflex "Humanely slaughtered?" By whom, you? There is no such thing as that phrase in this industrial world any longer. What farming was 50 years ago no longer exists. That is extinct, at least in the USA and Canada (I cannot speak for Europe, yet I do know they are better). Even "organic" is a scam here when it comes to animal agriculture because they still use confinement, punishment and imprisonment. There are only a few Pastoral farms that I know of which DO try to respect the animal and allow them to live (somewhat) freely... however, in the end, the slaughter plants are all the same. As long as the animal farms live/work/thrive without an audit from the public, they have no reason to change (for the governments definitely allow them to act with impunity).
So what then? Go raw?
You 'were' vegan? I call bullshit. Plant-based at best is my guess. Or was there a defining moment where you decided animal lives don't matter?
daddaflex Do you call yourself other things? A human being? A man? A husband? White? Black? Or is that all childish/cultish/tribalism/elitism as well?
I'm glad that people like you and Earthling Ed exist. I would just spaz out while doing these interviews
I admire how calm and composed you keep yourselves!
+Eva Eleni thanks Hun. It's becoming second nature to talk to people in this way now so it doesn't really bother me any more
the meat eaters are asking good questions but the get schooled 🏫 everytime
Great job. What's with the mask?
Was wondering the same thing, he spoke so eloquently and made these wonderful analogies but the ski mask made me think burglar not teacher O.o
Think of it as: Focus on the message, not the person... =]
Otto Cruz Well honestly wearing that Ski Mask in the middle of summer in a park far away from any Snow Skiiing or Winter resort is much more distracting than him just showing his face, That would have been the 1st think i would have asked do all vegans wear a Ski Masks, it does seem odd. But w/e
Hopefully it incites more curiosity than perplexity... A bit more exposure to VR's content/message/activism/creativity and one can start to look past the ski mask, as even these young men appear to have done.
This was actually a really good video to watch. I personally feel that some of these "vegan vs meat eaters" videos have a bit of a hidden agenda (no offence, do your thing, live your lifestyle. I fully respect that). This, however actually felt like a discussion, two sides separated by their opinions and i guess attempting to understand why the other side thinks the way they do. Even at the end the two guys openly said that they wouldn't convert to veganism but you were still thankful for their time and conversation. That's cool, i dig that shit. There should be more conversations where one party isn't trying to make another party look small or weaker than them, which is unfortunately the feeling i get when a youtube video involves a clash of opinions.
deadmandrunk I'd much rather have an interlocution than an argument!
Oh my goodness, this was amazing! That guy basically talked himself into being vegan! I love that he now knows that being the best he can be is choosing the vegan option! 💚
+Polly Johnson yeah he gets it deep down he knows it's right
Yeah you can totally see that. It's great that meeting you guys and chatting together really had an impact on him.
You can still have bangers and mash for Tea Just get your mum to buy vegan susages. Their are lots of meatless susages out there.
The best one I found is Linda McCartney Susages they are so good. 😄 👍 👌 💜 There are lots of meatless alternatives to enjoy. Check out Qorn products and Garden products. But the best place is the Asian Chinese supermarket they have many meatless items too.✌🍎🌱
we should also preach other non vegan species like tiger ,lion even mosquitoes to be vegan. GO GREEN. even the PLANTS that set traps for Insects should also be blacklisted!
This was great!!! I think because they were asking the questions, they didn't feel "attacked" and didn't get defensive like many people do, so they were very open minded to what was being said!
8:16 "Humane means would I want that done to me?" - VR Awesome way to put it!!!!
I love the way they ended up arguing your point for you.
+B1cam they were brilliant
Wow this type of civility and polite dialogue would never happen here in the states. Also the role reversal is brilliant. Just discovered your channel for sure subscribing!
We have to have these types of discusion for the truth to show up and prompt our conscious mind.
The guy you interviewed in the beginning who made excuses for farmers breeding animals for economical reasons-- does he know about the dog meat farms in China, Vietnam, South Korea, Indonesia, etc? I mean, dogs are every day meat products to those countries, just as cows are to him. He should look up Yulin Festival or, most recently, Bok Nal in South Korea. People who get sick of their house pets have sold their dogs to those meat farmers. He should imagine his dog in those conditions. Horrific and no different that the same conditions any animal is induring in its misery waiting for human consumption.
OK, I keep watching now... :)
^ enduring. bloody iphone
+Scarlett Gone Raw that's a great point actually. Gonna remember this one for the next time it's raised
Emma wins at logic🙌
+Holly Brown Fit logic always wins over shady belief systems
What open minded young men! This is such a great video!
+VeganForTheLove they were and they are the future
I just LOVE the way you do your interviews... You are so calm, you don't insult or embarrass anyone, you're using their arguments to make them think, you remain honest and comprehensive. It's just wonderful. To be honest I'm a little jealous, I want to do what you do :D
Great video. It's like a reverse interview. Very interesting
They mentioned acne and skin clearing. Does anyone have advise about what things to eat that help the most? I've been vegan (fruitarian) for 8 months now and my acne and acne scars are still there. :/
Health changes come from what's in your diet, not from following a specific diet that's called something else. My point is that just "going vegan" won't necessarily change anything, in order to make a change you have to be getting the right nutrition. You have to check that you are getting optimal nutrition, and it is quite possible that you are not getting optimal nutrition. Use something like cronometer to check what you're getting. Also I'm no skin expert but I don't think diet alone can necessarily fix all skin issues, so it really depends on what problems you have ...
Chris Roper okay that helps a little. I normally use Fitness Pal. And I did get my labs done about 2 months ago now. They were fine... I'm just jealous of those getting clear skin haha. I've struggled with it most of my life... I will try to look deeper for whatever else I can do. I've been using apple cider vinegar on my skin, but I haven't noticed a major difference.
Yeah the issue is that fitness pal only gives you information about a few of the nutrients you need, sites like cronometer are more broad. Also in terms of blood tests, bear in mind they don't necessarily test for everything. Did you get any information on your zinc levels for example? That's a difficult one to test accurately as far as I know, but it's important for skin health (and lots of other stuff). Personally consuming high amounts of zinc helped clear my skin a lot.
Taygin use a clearasonic and shea butter at night!!!!! also if u r on any hormone medication like me, its not going to go away until u get off the meds
Sugar worsens a lot of peoples acne. I imagine that if your diet primarily consists of fruit, it's not helping. Why are you a fruitarian, if you dont mind me asking?
Nice guys, I hope they really think about things when they get home and do research to inform themselves, they can even share their findings with their families and you never know they might make some important changes! Great video!
+Conchita Quilt yeah I think they did. I know the blonde kid has watched this video and will comment on it hopefully
That's great news. Like you said, we're all vegan at heart👍🏻✌🏻🌱✌🏻💚
This was great! The start is a perfect example of how strongly we are effected by culture. Believing it's all fine without questioning it. Because they totally seemed to get it almost as soon as they started thinking about it! It's very encouraging!
How do they end up with the mic?
+Sandcat they asked if they could interview us after I interviewed him!
Banana Warrior Princess Haha that's kind of cool! Do you get worried when they ask to?
I've seen a few people do it in your videos. This seemed one of the better times that's happened.
Really good conversation. Props to all 4 here.
Also important not to distinguish humans as different from animals. Humans are animals.
"Sasquatch music festival 2009 - Guy starts dance party" - be like that guy starting the dance party, instead be vegan, start a vegan dance party, it will be a bit more difficult than that though but it will be worth it!!!
Wow it is so clear that they are about to reach the stage of vegan awakeness. They did so well and you guys of course always do,
@ 9:37 : Think about the fact I'm listening to your words from France and will share this video to many people and might even translate it ? :'D Thanks for making and sharing this video peeps :)
Not gonna lie, I would probably choose my dog (in the hypothetical situation that I had one) over my mom, especially if I had grown to love and care about that dog, mainly because I despise of my entire family, though.
The hypothetical choosing between humans and animals is irrelevant fiction, so I wouldn't even entertain it, but I think you could be stronger if you are going to at all.... even if it was a life or death situation, I wouldn't chose a dog to die every time, and I would and have risked my own life to save animals. Animals are family. They bring about nothing but harmony
Fantastic! Now I want to see more of these videos where the questions are coming from the other 'team', it feels they are more engaged. The 100th monkey - I've heard a couple of variations on the story. I have always believed it to mean that once a critical mass of people/animals realise something, then there is a widespread adoption of that practice or belief etc. The 100th monkey finally adopted the washing of the potato, and that somehow became the standard practice across all communities of this species. I hope it's a real phenomenon and that can happen i veganism!
Wow I love how they have their minds open and allow you guys to talk about this and it's great how they asked questions without being rude. If you were in America most people would try to fight or be complety closed off if you told them you're a vegan or vegetarian.
Nice quote! Actually just finished reading Cloud Atlas xD
+AliceLeftWonderland haven't heard of it, will look up
That's the one with the ocean being a multitude of drops. It's a really interesting kind of novel, hope you like it if you get a chance to read it! :)
Great commentary, loved that Vegan Revolution was in this. I am a fan and he always makes so much sense. This kind of thing rejuvenates my hope for veganism.
Martin Luther King... think of all the interviduals who had subtle connections with the man and influenced his future. Or the bird that shat on his shoulder that one time... change is mysterious and relentless!
Haha...its riddiculus that one dude is wearing balaclava. Even if he make good points.
Nice work really liked those two. Cool guys very open minded. RESPECT
Got a theory, with religion in the west dying out does anyone else think that fundimental veganism and other similar movements kind of replace that need for belonging in a group with a similar belief system that religion provided to previous generations. Not knocking anybody who doesn't eat meat, i'm just referring to the vegans who take it way too seriously and almost treat it like a religion.
fingers crossed he takes the first steps to becoming vegan!!! or even vegetarian... he seemed very open to the idea
This has probably been my favourite video of yours, and that's hard 'cause I love all these interviews you do! :D Open minded people are the best.
I saw that crazy guy dancing video. It was awesome. Really good example for this. :))
If you gave a human child the following buffet and wait to see what it eats:
- banana, live rabbit, dead rabbit, live mouse, dead mouse, live kitten, dead kitten
You could do that experiment a trillion times and you'd always get the same result.
Try this with an omnivore and you would have varying results.
This was awesome! Can't wait to see more of these, that kid went from "no I love meat" to "I'm gonna buy the vegan option when I can" in 17 minutes!
Why is the vegan guy having his face covered? I think it seems pretty rude to hide your face through the whole interview, unless he made a bet or some shit like that it's not okay according to me and he should have taken it off.
These are some intelligent boys. I hope they end up making intelligent choices.
This was very well did
I think this is a way better way to confront meat eater rather than just tell them how horrible they are and what they do wrong. nobody wants to be told that they are a horibble person. nobody would think of veganism as a good thing after that. they will just shut down.to ask them this kind of passiv questions is a better way to might turn their mind around
Gj
stop covering your mouth when talking to someone. you are less understandable.
this was brillant do you have another video like this if not you should make another very interesting!
The first kid was scrambling to justify himself. Lots of cringe.
Excellent video .I think that boy did a good job , hopefully he will go vegan and be a great activist 🤗
Its hard to believe that most people choose taste over ethics, values, and morals. They have ridiculous excuses to try to justify their actions. I used to be the same way but I was open minded and educated myself.
Love your videos. I believe these types of conversations are so effective. Would love to see a video on tips of how to communicate with meat eaters.
U cant compear humans to animals , animals are strong because they can digest celulose but our digestif syteme cant and celulose is the main calories source in plants.
Awesome interview! HAHA They were so open-minded! I hope they went back to their parents and asked for more vegan options! :)
Loved how they interviewed you! Great job guys
Great interviews!
+Li-San Loves thanks
Very clever approach, best activism I've seen in a long time. Keep it up! :D
great interview...seemed like they were starting to see the light! I think it's only a matter time...
That was a brilliant interview! Really open minded guys.
videos like this are so good to watch. i love it when the interviewer and the interviewee are friendly towards each other.
"That meat is gonna die" the disconnect is something I have been noticing a lot more recently.
In a few hundred years, the whole world will be vegan! One interview at a time!
great video, they seemed to really take in the information you were giving them (:
Hahaa they started interviewing you! That's brilliant
Very good interview! I love the reverse role interview and how it didn't turn harsh in anyway
Delightful and interesting conversation!
I couldn't watch past the first guy.
i luv u bwp!
+Bryton Dimitrou much love 💚
This was super interesting! Subscribed! ♡♡♡
wow these sound like really nice guys :)
ive never seen "meat" die but I have seen animals die
i love how it turned into the guy interviewing you guys!
I love these videos! I need to do this xx
+Earthling Lucy I'll do some with you?
Banana Warrior Princess Yes please :)
VEGANISM IS LIFE
This is the best video ever. You guys are gr8
Great interview from all of you!
A wrong is a wrong. C'mon people.
there is no booth win vegan win
To be continued... Brilliant.
