      I think they're the ones who will most likely go vegan, to be honest. lol It seems like the people who lash out the most think about it more and ultimately come to an irrefutable solution.

      tonialcarrier tonialcarrier lol. How does one ask an opinion? You can ask a question. You can ask FOR an opinion. What this girl did was funny. She seems like a nice person but she sort of embarrassed herself when she said she doesn't want to give an opinion about something that she doesn't know anything about (I respect that), but then she immediately gives an uneducated opinion about something she knows nothing about. The brazen contradiction and hypocrisy is comical. That's all Brendan was saying. At least that's how I took it.

      @senankearney838 7 років тому +2

      Neida Leal have you ever actually been to a farm because where I live in the countryside surrounded by farms In europe I know from personal experience from working on lots of different farms that this is vegan propaganda that is being brainwashed into stupid minds like your own on the farms I have worked on I have never experienced animals being abused btw I have worked on dairy and beef farms

  • @orpheusowlallearthlingsmat6076
    @orpheusowlallearthlingsmat6076 8 років тому +78

    I could not help but LOL when she said "We are just the intelligent ones of the species" (inferring of course it is the animals who are stupid) And the man's comment that it would be even more disturbing if a human was in that cage instead of a pig, I couldn't help thinking it's true that some people put in cages are innocent of what they're accused of, but ALL animals put in cages are 100% innocent with no exceptions. They cannot commit wrong. So isn't that more disturbing, having done nothing wrong except have the misfortune to be born into that Hell?Great buildup to the photo.

    • @orpheusowlallearthlingsmat6076
      @orpheusowlallearthlingsmat6076 8 років тому +6

      So you're biased towards humans being more intelligent "in many ways" and I happen to think most animals are more intelligent in just about every way that counts. Animals are certainly easier to get along with. And I will continue to LOL and criticize whatever I feel like it. As for your own criticism, it did nothing but reinforce my "bias" towards animals.

    • @orpheusowlallearthlingsmat6076
      @orpheusowlallearthlingsmat6076 8 років тому +9

      My beliefs are based on empathy and compassion for the most abused species on the planet, as opposed to centuries of hatred and propaganda that animals are inferior, are just here for our use, and are little more than soulless machines. That's the illogical Descartes nonsense these college-educated superior human beings were spouting. Yes, I would definitely say my beliefs are more valid. And I have zero interest in changing my views back to being a primitive eater of carcasses before I knew better, as that was a long time ago. Not really interested in further discussion either, as I've made myself perfectly clear.

    • @amiblackwelder
      @amiblackwelder 8 років тому +4

      It isn't about beliefs. It's about cruelty. Period. It's about facts. Period. Vegetarians and Vegans are not choosing to eat that way because they believe animals are being tortured and treated cruelly. Animals are being tortured and treated cruelly.

    There were these huge Horses with bushy feet back a few centuries, in German it‘s called a Brewery Horse, we used them for pulling heavy carts. You still see them sometimes, but their numbers have heavily diminished since we stopped breeding them.

    What gets me is how passively people refer to meat, but have they ever watched what is done to those poor animals in a slaughter house? Breaking away from that insanity was the BEST first step away from hate that I have ever taken. It is my personal statement against all hate. I've seen people go on about how good meat tastes, but if they'd really take the time to smell how badly it stinks when it's raw, then maybe that would help in changing their minds. As for myself, I don't eat anything that has to fight to escape prey. My belief is that anything is possible if we get away from hate. Hate is the road block that keeps all living creatures in torment. I believe that anything is possible if all of us human beings could just get together to accomplish one thing: DESTROY ALL HATE! Physical hatred is bad enough, and psychological hatred is bad too. Even in the insect world there is hate because it's a curse. But, haven't all of you felt torment? I have, and I empathize with others who are tormented. My goal is to replace hate with empathy. I'm not saying that I don't believe in self defense because I do, but only as a last resort and as a personal protest against being harmed.

    Hey Ed, you should know, that Cows were breed from the en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aurochs and livestock is the leading cause for species extinction. Most farm animals were breeded in a way, that they have intense suffering throughout their whole life, because they are too heavy for their own skelet, really similar to some of those short nose dogs having insane breathing problems. It's pretty sad.

    That woman was getting defensive and irrational towards the end... A sure sign of a waste of time. making up strange scenarios where animal either 1)overrun us 2)become extinct (suddenly they give a shit about the livestock animal's population...)

    Again, awesome job! :) I really like the moment you paused the video cause I'm so eager to look the 2nd part. The girls in the end where awesome people to discuss with. Smart but strong on there believes. I'm pretty sure they are smart girls and they will come around in part 2! Exciting stuff!

    Four years Vegan, still going strong. Some of my friends, say they can’t go vegan because it’s expensive. Here in Canada, some vegan products can be expensive. But I stick less expensive stuff, buy the expensive stuff. When on sale. Sweet potatoes, vegetables, beans, peas, brown rice, flaxseed are more Cheaper.

    The two girls basically had no knowledge of the fact that they had, no knowledge. The tangents they went on were pretty irrelevant, even the "controversial" Halal way was explained in such an improvised way.
    Just admit that you don't want to give up meat instead of pointlessly justifying it!!
    Kudos to you Ed for not screaming out "WHAT THE FUCKKKKK" during the last 4-5 minutes of the video.
