OMG! Thank you... was searching on Google for days to get rid of the old devices of my kids in my list, but not even they came with the proper explanation on how to do it...
This fix is outdated, please go here for the new one: ua-cam.com/video/9zJVYQsR7U4/v-deo.html Here's an updated version for Removing a Google Family Link Member! ua-cam.com/video/e-V58PuurYc/v-deo.html
Hi, thank you for the video, it seems to be a good way to remove the device but only from the parent Family Link App. I am struggling to reset my child's device to give to another child as it still not allowing that from the child's device itself being supervised at the same time could not find an option on the parents' app to reset the device, any hope of this being done please? Thanks.
Once you've done that, if it's still linked to the account, you may have to wait a few months. I did the same thing and everytime I checked, I could still see the device. However, you can still add the other child to the account by factory resetting the device in the "find my device" area. This then tells the google account that the device is no longer linked. Now, add a new account to the device during setup.
i logged into her account and signed out of her device, then factory reset the chromebook. thank you. Unfortunately i am still seeing her device listed in my Family Link app and it is driving me nuts! I have to set times still for both devices. Do you know of any way to remove the device from still showing up in my app? Thanks
Ok, let me make you a new video detailing the new process. I think they've updated it and so hopefully I can show you how. ua-cam.com/video/e-V58PuurYc/v-deo.html
Hi! Was curious if you know how to delete a family group without deleting the kids Google accounts??? Been having a hard time finding any info about this. Everything I find just deletes the accounts🥴 Trying to get all our family under one family link group and it's not letting us switch to another.
You can delete the group but restore the account afterwards I believe. I found this: support.google.com/families/answer/9182020?hl=en&ref_topic=7336731
u have to delete the account from the phone itself which is not easy process.... it will ask u for a parental xode which is in your device... ot will unlink and let you resent... its definitely not easy process

This told me what to do ,straightforwardly and, more importantly, accurately. 2 old broken phones now removed from my son's account. Thanks.
I can't figure this out! What did you do? When I go to "devices," there is no "manage devices" option.
I made an updated video for you ua-cam.com/video/9zJVYQsR7U4/v-deo.html

Me too :-(
Which device are you trying to factory reset?
