Please help!!! I have an android phone, and my son is moving from android to iphone, and we are wanting to continue using family link! I have downloaded the app on his new iphone but it says it is a parent app and for me to log in, if i do that it just puts it as me, and my app to control. I need to know how to get the iphone registered as my childs device, to control it from my android! Losing my mind here! PLEASE HELP!
Same thing i noticed. The app icon on the child's phone isnt the same as the one on the parents phone. You cant just go to google and find the parental controls. I havent found one video that shows what i'm seeing on my phones.
You have to follow the directions. Do what it says at 1:56 in the video. On the kids phone go to settings > Google > parental controls. That will enable the parental controls app on the child's device.
@@Linkedbladei tried to do this but not working, it just loading Also when signing-up acc for my child, there's an error of "cant supervise account blabla". Found the same error online but still cant get it to work

I have this setup on my kids phone. How do I approve a new app request? This was a very nice feature that used to be easy to bring up. Now my kids new devices for Christmas, and I can't find where Google hid this feature.
FOUND IT! You have to go into google play, tap on your icon, go into settings then family then app approval requests. This info was incredibly hard to find.
dont do this to your child, it can have serious consequences on their mental health... It can even push them to commit suicide because of how bad controlling your child is.
So if anyone is here bc of their account is underage and is gonna get deleted like mine here's my way of doing it when you can't even access your account to do it: 1.Search google help and click onto the first option 2. Keep scrolling then select the 'can't access your account?' 3. Log in into your disabled account 4. When it say 'If you forgot you password, please update it immediately' (Idk is it what it will say bc mine is in a different language) click continue 5.Click onto the confirm your age option, click no and it should tell you to tell them their age 6.It should say the same thing but there will be an option to use parental control Hope this help and goodluck!!!
I'm the one who manages the devices But for some reason I am blocked by parental controls from downloading certain apps off the playstore Its not like its from this account either, its just on this device that's blocked No one is managing my account so why is this happening?

somehow, my child has made himself (using his google account) in his own google account family manager... how do i remove this from his account ??? because he's already a family manager i can't add him as a child... can anyone help me solve this?
@Hunter-bq4jt honestly they don't really "monitor" it. My son came home talking about things he had seen on the chromebook at school. I had to go to the school and have a meeting with the principal. There are "internet blockers" that block out "bad stuff", but in this day and age what one parent might think is "bad" another might think is "fine". The internet in the hands of a child without their parents monitoring it is no good. I found out how I can log in from my home computer into his account to view his specific content. Also to teach my son what we expect of him as far as the internet goes. Children need to be trained by their parents on how far is too far on the internet. I was in my 20s when smartphones came out. I wish someone would have directed me on how to use my phone in a healthy way. So many people are addicted and it's because there was no education on these lit up bricks we all carry around. They can be a great tool, once you learn your relationship with it. Anyways...have a great day! :)
I do not likle the fact that after age 13 it does not allow parents to "supervise" their children. Very bad. Apple allows parents to supervise until age 18
@@BingoRazar Yes. What's the issue there? Forget about social arguments. Let's talk brain science here. I assume you would appreciate these points. Pardon my lengthy answer. 11-14 yrs is called formal operational stage. The limbic system develops faster than the prefrontal cortex. 15-17 years is middle adolescence. Myelination of the brain is complete except in the prefrontal lobe. 18-21 late adolescence. Prefrontal maturation picks up. You should know very well that prefrontal cortex is involved in many critical functions including: Coordinating and adjusting complex behavior. Impulse control and control and organization of emotional reactions. Last point. Just because "the trend" says allow children to use these gadgets and social media, it does not mean it is the right thing and the smartest thing to do. I am with Electro on this one! The ability to keep tabs on your kids is responsible parenting. It shouldn't be up to google to decide how we choose to parent.
@@chadkendall7151 Thank you, Chad. This is becoming an issue. Everything becomes sensitive these days and the concepts of freedom are so confused. I cant find it in my sons phone either and i did set up family link on his computer before

He must have lied about his age. You need to resolve that part of his account first.
Nice
I think the tutprial is seems hard to set up

How is done on laptop
This will not work... they can just create a new Google account..
