  • We screen printed a patch to use on our new hoodies. We used my old hoodie as the patch material as well as some Puffy 3D Paint.
    The Process:
We started by getting an old screen door screen and a dollar store frame. We cut the screen to size and used some masking tape to cover the entire screen. We printed out the design we wanted to screen print and cut it out. We then attached the design to the masked off screen to give us a template to follow. We then cut out the masking tape using the template as a guide making sure not to cut through the screen. (Just cutting through the masking tape) Once the design was cut out, we taped the screen to the frame. We made a guide to follow right on the table we were using. (I had a scrap piece of MDF as a work surface) We then used the guide to position the piece we wanted to screen print. In our case, it was a cut out piece of my old hoodie. Once positioned, we used Puffy 3D Paint as our "Screen Print Ink". (Link below for where to get it) We used some cheap putty knives to spread the "ink" around. Once spread out evenly, we removed the screen leaving behind only the paint that was on the exposed screen. After letting it dry, we used some HeatnBond (Link below) to Bond the Patch to our new shop hoodies. : )
