We turned his room into a POKE BALL!!

- We recently bought a house and started renovating the rooms. My son got to choose how to paint his.
The Process:
We started by ripping up the carpet. I had to watch because Aaron was super excited to help and with all the carpet strips there were a lot of nails sticking up. With a little bit of careful instruction, we were able to make short work of it. We then moved on to prepping the walls. Since there was a lot of wall paper, we used a method of removing the vinyl coating and then soaking the paper underneath with a non-toxic wallpaper remover spray. (Link bellow) Once the walls were clean, we went on to patch up any holes that were left. We used some high hide primer to help cover up the dark blue since we were going to a lighter color. The short roller handle liked bellow is extendable which would have made it a lot nicer to paint with my son. The one we used came from a dust pan but did the trick. Once the painting was done we used a laser-level to guide the painters tape outlining. With that complete we finished up the red paint. Once complete we made sure to go over the entire floor checking for nails and staples that might wear through the laminate flooring we installed. The last step was to add the decals and get all the furniture put back. If you have read this far, awesome, let me know in the comments! : ) Get the decals here: amzn.to/3bUGHmO

You should make a pokeball bed for the room. Great job 👍
Hmmmm, that's an idea! Kind of like a Pokeball inception. . .
You know they make this really cool scoring tool to easily with some wallpaper remover. Looks great my friend!
Excellent suggestion, we will have to look into that next time we run into this problem! We had a lot of problems with the scoring not allowing enough of the removal gel to get in. (We were manually scoring it so the tool might have helped in that regard) That being said we needed a scrapper to help peal off the paper after the gel did it’s work anyways so it served double duty.
@@MakerInTraining Oh yeah I hated ripping wallpaper off, I will never paper my walls for the next persons sanity

This was so cool!!!
Thanks Ibraheem! : )
oh nice, I was wondering where you went.
dad: "so you want a little Pokeball?"
youngman: "...no... not a little one 😆"
the felt pads under the bed frame were a great idea. could swap them with rubber if it slides around too easily.
very cool room.
We had a lot going on during the last year. We are working on an update video. Lots to talk about. : ) I like the idea of the rubber pads. I'll keep that in my back pocket. : )
Fantastic. Y'all are so much fun. Nice work on the blue tape.
Thank you! We did have a couple of places where the tape wasn’t tight enough against the wall and that caused a little bit of bleed through, but it was minor so it isn’t noticeable. We might make a shorts video showing an update on fixing it.
Is that a diy challenge I see?
Edit: nice video
There will be one. . . : )
