So glad I never follow the trends… I decorate with what I like in my home. Especially my whole house in farmhouse decor, with my gallery walls, and all my signage! Never liked those mesh things though… this is why the importance of “love your life” is what I stress… decorate and make what makes YOUR heart happy… trends come and go…
“We have to learn how to move on…” Or we can just live our lives how we love them, Rock out to our own style and say “please don’t yuck my yum”. And just keep our opinions to ourselves. So “way to go” trying to inspire creators and yucking some one’s yum; breaking their spirits of creativity; and saying “you have to follow my opinion because I don’t follow to the beat of my own drum”.
Personally, i agree with some of these, but i would NEVER try to tell someone else how to decorate their living space, and a couple of times in this video, that is what she did.
I agree with the UV resin it's a better choice for sure! And def. when you're talking about harsh chemicals and breathing in fumes. I also totally agree with the designer logos and knockoffs too! I agree with the others that these trends like the wreaths, farm decor, etc. are not as fun or unique as they once were. But I also believe crafting and decorating should be a creative process that is "to each is their own" - Create and decorate what you love! Be creative and have fun! ❤
Yup, I agree!! Especially Farmhouse, my Grandma's Farmhouse never looked the way it's portrayed now 😉 But like you said, if you love it, then go ahead and create the styles and crafts that make you happy 🤗
Agree with Almost All. I still prefer Jenga for small projects though🤗. I recommend PPE for All resins use. Don't breath that in, at least not until it hardens.😷
I live on a farm, and don’t decorate in “farmhouse” style, although I do like the look. There is just to much dust out here. I don’t want items that make that worse. So many of the beautiful farmhouse decorations just give dust more places to settle.
I agree with you totally!! I have said that "farmhouse"decor belongs in an actual farmhouse ever since that (awful) trend began. Also those horrendous canning jars!! painted, decoupaged, cricut decorated, etc. A canning jar has 1 purpose: holding food- ie: home canned tomatoes; beans, rice. Not so much out on the counters. And I also did not like any of the other do away with crafts.
I don't do any of those trends lol I think "farmhouse" decor is cold feeling with all the white colored tone. I decorate my home "primitive" very warm, cozy, and inviting 😁
Not just the Jenga blocks, but any wood blocks from the Dollar Tree. You can get an 8' long 1x2 for $2.50 at a big box store. The DT beveled wood plaques are nice though and a decent price for the size, if you can find them.
Somehow I missed the Jenga trend. 😅 I’m so tired of seeing gnomes, highland cows, and red trucks. I still think they’re cute, but I’m sick of seeing them everywhere.
This video was a big miss. With the exception of your first mention of resin, I didn’t feel that any of them were “out”, although many are being adjusted. Mesh/burlap wreaths for instance, they don’t look the same as 10 years ago, but both are still being used, just in more selective ways. Same with word art (which you did acknowledge), and farmhouse. I seriously don’t see “farmhouse” disappearing any time soon since it is so versatile. People love that it can be mixed with boho, and industrial while still looking cohesive. For the record, you didn’t hit on any of my big loves so this isn’t about picking one trend over another, it simply had very little to do with crafting trends, and everything to do with the final result. Tell me what tools or products are on the way out and why. Don’t tell me what should or should not be made with them. Allow the creator to decide how they are inspired to create.
Add gnomes, flamingoes, beach decor, and red trucks, please? SO tired of them. Lived on a farm half my life and never did any farmhouse I knew of look like what people label farmhouse.
I think you are spot on! I also had to hear the hard truth that, "Garden Flags are out mom"...lol. I'm okay with old and in with the new. You guys are great about teaching all the new stuff!

Is this a craft channel or a interior design channel ?? I don’t believe crafts have an expiration date. Love you guys but stay in your lane

I don't agree about the 2 part resin. A proper respirator, Nitrile gloves and an apron are your PPE.
Eye opening! Thanks for sharing!

The ubiquitous old red pickup truck must go!!
No!!!! I love those 😂
Absogoshdarnlutely!!!
lol - yup to all of them - every craft trends..... if they didn't, my craft room would be bare! :)

I am so over the nome trend!
Loved the "if you don't live on a farm" lol. I never understood all the farmhouse decor.
Same

Was done with word art before I started it lol

where is the resin alternative link?
Bummer disagree with canceling Farm House. It's my fav since I grew up on a farm😊
Well said!!

I’ve never been a fan of gnomes, they are creepy.
Very good ideas. ❤
Glad you like them!

I agree with all..except i still love the farmhouse ...
Thank you Lauren, every time I see you I think I have died and gone to heaven, because I’m looking at an angel.
None of those bother me.... They are all great but not my "style"... 💕
Thanks for sharing!❤🙏👍🇺🇸
Of course!

Agree with it all!
Thanks for being brave enough to say this!
Always!
Ugh. Sliding barn doors need to go
Agree with this.
I am so tired of the words. Thank you for cancelling the words.
Agree to cancel 2 YESSSSSSS!!!!
I AGREE 💯 WITH MGL❤😊
Thank you so much!
Vintage eventually comes back 😂
Lauren- your bruises! Are you ok?
Deco mesh is dead for sure!

And I think she is stunting creativity and telling everyone they need to follow trends and not be their own person!
